2014-03-26MIPS: Alchemy: Unify Devboard support.Manuel Lauss1-0/+9
This patch merges support for all DB1xxx and PB1xxx boards into a single image, along with a new single defconfig for them. Run-tested on DB1300 and DB1500. 2014-02-14spi: au1550: Convert to let spi core handle checking transfer speedAxel Lin1-26/+4
By setting master->max_speed_hz and master->min_speed_hz, spi core will handle checking transfer speed. So we can remove the same checking in this driver. Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@ingics.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>

2013-10-09spi: spi-au1550: replace platform_driver_probe to support deferred probingWolfram Sang1-1/+2
Subsystems like pinctrl and gpio rightfully make use of deferred probing at core level. Now, deferred drivers won't be retried if they don't have a .probe function specified in the driver struct. Fix this driver to have that, so the devices it supports won't get lost in a deferred probe. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2013-09-17spi: bitbang: Let spi_bitbang_start() take a reference to masterAxel Lin1-1/+1
Many drivers that use bitbang library have a leak on probe error paths. This is because once a spi_master_get() call succeeds, we need an additional spi_master_put() call to free the memory. Fix this issue by moving the code taking a reference to master to spi_bitbang_start(), so spi_bitbang_start() will take a reference to master on success. With this change, the caller is responsible for calling spi_bitbang_stop() to decrement the reference and spi_master_put() as counterpart of spi_alloc_master() to prevent a memory leak. So now we have below patten for drivers using bitbang library: probe: spi_alloc_master -> Init reference count to 1 spi_bitbang_start -> Increment reference count remove: spi_bitbang_stop -> Decrement reference count spi_master_put -> Decrement reference count (reference count reaches 0) Fixup all users accordingly. 2013-05-29spi: convert drivers to use bits_per_word_maskStephen Warren1-11/+1
Fill in the recently added spi_master.bits_per_word_mask field in as many drivers as possible. Make related cleanups, such as removing any redundant error-checking, or empty setup callbacks. 2013-05-13spi: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-2/+0
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. 2013-02-05spi: Remove erroneous __init, __exit and __exit_p() references in driversGrant Likely1-4/+4
Some of the spi driver module remove hooks were annotated with __exit and referenced with __exit_p(). Presumably these were supposed to be __devinit, __devexit and __devexit_p() since __init/__exit for a probe/remove hook has never been correct. They also got missed during the big __devinit/__devexit purge since they didn't match the pattern. Remove then now to be rid of it. v2: purge __init also Reported-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> [Arnd set a patch cleaning up one, and then I found more] Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>

2011-10-31spi: Add module.h to implicit users in drivers/spiPaul Gortmaker1-0/+1
We are clipping down the presence of module.h, since it was everywhere. If you really need it, you better call it out, as per this changeset. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2011-06-06spi: reorganize driversGrant Likely1-0/+1032
Sort the SPI makefile and enforce the naming convention spi_*.c for spi drivers. This change also rolls the contents of atmel_spi.h into the .c file since there is only one user of that particular include file. v2: - Use 'spi-' prefix instead of 'spi_' to match what seems to be be the predominant pattern for subsystem prefixes. - Clean up filenames in Kconfig and header comment blocks Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Acked-by: Wolfram Sang <w.sang@pengutronix.de> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
