2021-07-30staging: r8188eu: Add "fallthrough" statement to quiet compilerLarry Finger1-1/+1

2021-07-30staging: r8188eu: Remove header file include/rtw_version.hLarry Finger6-6/+3
This file contains only the definition of the driver version. This statement is moved into a header called by all the affected source files, and the now empty header is deleted. 2021-07-30staging: r8188eu: Remove header file include/usb_hal.hLarry Finger6-15/+2
This header only includes one prototype and one define statement. The new definition is used once, thus it can be removed. The prototype is moved to a header that is already called by the supplier and the user of that routine, thus the small header is removed. 2021-07-27dev_ioctl: split out ndo_eth_ioctlArnd Bergmann1-6/+6
Most users of ndo_do_ioctl are ethernet drivers that implement the MII commands SIOCGMIIPHY/SIOCGMIIREG/SIOCSMIIREG, or hardware timestamping with SIOCSHWTSTAMP/SIOCGHWTSTAMP. Separate these from the few drivers that use ndo_do_ioctl to implement SIOCBOND, SIOCBR and SIOCWANDEV commands. 2021-07-27staging: wlan-ng: use siocdevprivateArnd Bergmann1-65/+11
wlan-ng has two private ioctls that correctly work in compat mode. Move these over to the new ndo_siocdevprivate mechanism. The p80211netdev_ethtool() function is commented out and has no use here, so this can be removed Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2021-07-27staging: rtlwifi: use siocdevprivateArnd Bergmann8-10/+34
rtl8188eu has an "android private" ioctl command multiplexer that is not currently safe for use in compat mode because of its triple-indirect pointer. rtl8723bs uses a different interface on the SIOCDEVPRIVATE command, based on the iwpriv data structure Both also have normal unreachable iwpriv commands, and all of the above should probably just get removed. For the moment, just switch over to the new interface. Cc: Larry Finger <Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2021-07-27staging: mt7621-pci: avoid to re-disable clock for those pcies not in useSergio Paracuellos1-1/+0
Clock driver for this SoC is using some gates to properly enabling and disabling the access to peripherals. Those gates that are not in use are properly being automatically disabled by the kernel. 2021-07-27staging: vchiq: Move vchiq char driver to its own fileOjaswin Mujoo3-1421/+1441
Split the initialization code of vchiq char driver and device files from that of vchiq platform. The char driver code now resides in vchiq_dev.c and the platform code resides in the original vchiq_arm.c file. This commit focuses on separating the code into different files while maintaining the same functionality. It does not completely decouple them as the cdev init code is still called from the platform's vchiq_probe() function.
