2020-08-18staging: mfd: add a PMIC driver for HiSilicon 6421 SPMI versionMayulong1-0/+759
Add the PMIC SPMI driver for the HiSilicon 6421v600. [mchehab+huawei@kernel.org: keep just the MFD driver on this patch, and renamed filenames to better match other upstream drivers] The compete patch is at: https://github.com/96boards-hikey/linux/commit/08464419fba2 Signed-off-by: Mayulong <mayulong1@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/4ffb2694244baa47387e39e2c5d71243242c1fc1.1597647359.git.mchehab+huawei@kernel.org Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2020-08-18staging: spmi: hisi-spmi-controller: do some code cleanupsMauro Carvalho Chehab1-89/+61
There are several minor things that can be cleanup in order to make this driver more prepared for leaving staging. 2020-08-18staging: spmi: hisi-spmi-controller: fix the dev_foo() logicMauro Carvalho Chehab1-20/+21
Right now, driver is printing some messages as: [ 33.833026] (NULL device *): spmi_read_cmd: id:0 addr:0x17, read value: 00 This is because dev_foo() are not using a device with a name set. Change the logic for it to print it right. 2020-08-18staging: spmi: hisi-spmi-controller: add debug when values are read/writeMauro Carvalho Chehab1-3/+12
It is interesting to be able to check if the driver is doing the right thing. So, add some debug macros to allow checking it. 2020-08-18staging: spmi: hisi-spmi-controller: fix it to probe successfullyMauro Carvalho Chehab1-4/+7

2020-08-07mm, treewide: rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive()Waiman Long3-3/+3
As said by Linus: A symmetric naming is only helpful if it implies symmetries in use. Otherwise it's actively misleading. In "kzalloc()", the z is meaningful and an important part of what the caller wants. In "kzfree()", the z is actively detrimental, because maybe in the future we really _might_ want to use that "memfill(0xdeadbeef)" or something. The "zero" part of the interface isn't even _relevant_. The main reason that kzfree() exists is to clear sensitive information that should not be leaked to other future users of the same memory objects. Rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive() to follow the example of the recently added kvfree_sensitive() and make the intention of the API more explicit. In addition, memzero_explicit() is used to clear the memory to make sure that it won't get optimized away by the compiler. The renaming is done by using the command sequence: git grep -w --name-only kzfree |\ xargs sed -i 's/kzfree/kfree_sensitive/' followed by some editing of the kfree_sensitive() kerneldoc and adding a kzfree backward compatibility macro in slab.h. 2020-07-31staging: android: ashmem: Fix lockdep warning for write operationSuren Baghdasaryan1-0/+12
syzbot report [1] describes a deadlock when write operation against an ashmem fd executed at the time when ashmem is shrinking its cache results in the following lock sequence: Possible unsafe locking scenario: CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- lock(fs_reclaim); lock(&sb->s_type->i_mutex_key#13); lock(fs_reclaim); lock(&sb->s_type->i_mutex_key#13); kswapd takes fs_reclaim and then inode_lock while generic_perform_write takes inode_lock and then fs_reclaim. However ashmem does not support writing into backing shmem with a write syscall. The only way to change its content is to mmap it and operate on mapped memory. Therefore the race that lockdep is warning about is not valid. Resolve this by introducing a separate lockdep class for the backing shmem inodes.
