The general agreed way to specify a fixed line number
for a serial console is to provide a "serial" alias
in the devicetree. Start parsing this property in
of_serial.

Add mrvl,pxa-uart and mrvl,mmp-uart compatible strings for the of_serial
driver. These are 8250 variants which have a port type of PORT_XSCALE.
There is also the serial driver pxa.c with these compatible strings
already. However, it can be replaced with the common 8250 driver. It has
some issues like it cannot coexist with the 8250 driver due to tty name
collision. That also means adding these compatible strings here should
not case a problem.

Pull driver core update from Greg KH:
"Here's the set of driver core patches for 3.19-rc1.
They are dominated by the removal of the .owner field in platform
drivers. They touch a lot of files, but they are "simple" changes,
just removing a line in a structure.
Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There
are some ath9k patches coming in through this tree that have been
acked by the wireless maintainers as they relied on the debugfs
changes.
Everything has been in linux-next for a while"

This adds suspend/resume support for the of-serial driver
to provide power management support on devices attatched.
The handling may vary since not every of_serial device is
an 8250 port. Currently only 8250 port handling is added
in the suspend/resume function based on the type switch.

The Ralink RT2880 SoC and its successors have an internal 8250 core. This core
needs the same quirks applied as the AMD AU1xxx uart. In addition to these
quirks, the ports memory region is only 0x100 unlike the AU1xxx which has a
size of 0x1000.

The info pointer points to an uninitialized kmalloced space.
If a device doesn't have clk property, then info->clk may
have unpredicated value and cause call trace. So use kzalloc
to make sure it is NULL initialized.

This patch fixes commit 2dea53bf57783f243c892e99c10c6921e956aa7e,
"serial: of-serial: add PM suspend/resume support", which disables
the uart clock on suspend, but also causes a hardware hang on register
access if no_console_suspend command line option is used.
Also, not every of_serial device is an 8250 port, so the serial8250
suspend/resume functions should only be applied to a real 8250 port.

This reverts commit 06aa82e498c144c7784a6f3d3b55458b272d6146.
This commit purports to enable auto CTS flow control for the 8250
UART driver. However, the 8250 UART driver already supports auto
CTS flow control via UART_CAP_AFE and UART_CAP_EFR. Indeed, this
patch introduces another DT attribute for which an existing firmware
flag already exists ("auto-flow-control"). Furthermore, the use of
UPF_HARD_FLOW requires the UART driver to define .throttle and
.unthrottle methods, neither of which are defined for the 8250 UART
driver (which will result in a NULL ptr dereference). Finally, this patch
supposes to fix existing bugs in the serial core for auto CTS-enabled
hardware, but does not include the class of hardware for which these
bugs exist.

Commit 5f5c9ae56c38942623f69c3e6dc6ec78e4da2076
"serial_core: Unregister console in uart_remove_one_port()"
fixed a crash where a serial port was removed but
not deregistered as a console.
There is a side effect of that commit for platforms having serial consoles
and of_serial configured (CONFIG_SERIAL_OF_PLATFORM). The serial console
is disabled midway through the boot process.
This cessation of the serial console affects PowerPC computers
such as the MVME5100 and SAM440EP.
The sequence is:
bootconsole [udbg0] enabled
....
serial8250/16550 driver initialises and registers its UARTS,
one of these is the serial console.
console [ttyS0] enabled
....
of_serial probes "platform" devices, registering them as it goes.
One of these is the serial console.
console [ttyS0] disabled.
The disabling of the serial console is due to:
a. unregister_console in printk not clearing the
CONS_ENABLED bit in the console flags,
even though it has announced that the console is disabled; and
b. of_platform_serial_probe in of_serial not setting the port type
before it registers with serial8250_register_8250_port.
This patch ensures that the serial console is re-enabled when of_serial
registers a serial port that corresponds to the designated console.

The above failure was identified in Linux-3.15-rc2.
Tested using MVME5100 and SAM440EP PowerPC computers with
kernels built from Linux-3.15-rc5 and tty-next.
The continued operation of the serial console is vital for computers
such as the MVME5100 as that Single Board Computer does not
have any grapical/display hardware.

8250 uart driver currently supports only software assisted hw flow
control. The software assisted hw flow control maintains a hw_stopped
flag in the tty structure to stop and start transmission and use modem
status interrupt for the event to drive the handshake signals. This is
not needed if hw has flow control capabilities. This patch adds a
DT attribute for enabling hw flow control for a uart port. Also skip
stop and start if this flag is present in flag field of the port
structure.

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using
platform_device instead of using dev_{get,set}_drvdata() with &pdev->dev,
so we can directly pass a struct platform_device.
Also, unnecessary dev_set_drvdata() is removed, because the driver core
clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure.

Automatic Flow Control capability is not tied to this
property. This is only one way of detecting it. The property
is limited to be used only with 8250 driver.

Tegra is only booted through device-tree now; there are no board files
left that use this function. Hence, don't export it. Move the static
inline definition into of_serial.c, so we can delete of_serial.h too.

In case of error, the function clk_get() returns ERR_PTR()
and never returns NULL. The NULL test in the return value
check should be replaced with IS_ERR().

Currently this driver expects the clock-frequency attribute. This
patch allows getting clock-frequency through clk driver API
clk_get_rate() if clock-frequency attribute is not defined.
So in the device bindings for serial device, one can add clocks
phandle to refer to the clk device to get the rate.

The loopback test mode is not implemented in all
NS16550 compatible UARTs. The 8250 driver uses the
UPF_SKIP_TEST flag to indicate this, however it is
not possible to set this flag via device-tree.
Add a new 'no-loopback-test' property, and modify
the of_serial driver to set the UPF_SKIP_TEST flag
if the property is present.

The "KT" serial port has another use case for a "received break" quirk,
so before adding another special case to the 8250 core take this
opportunity to push such quirks out of the core and into a uart_port op.
Stephen says:
"If the callback function is to no longer live in 8250.c itself,
arch/arm/mach-tegra/devices.c isn't logically a good place to put it,
and that file will be going away once we get rid of all the board files
and move solely to device tree."
...so since 8250_pci.c houses all the quirks for pci serial devices this
quirk is similarly housed in of_serial.c. Once the open firmware
conversion completes the infrastructure details
(include/linux/of_serial.h, and the export) can all be removed to make
this self contained to of_serial.c.

For simple modules that contain a single platform_driver without any
additional setup code then ends up being a block of duplicated
boilerplate. This patch adds a new macro, module_platform_driver(),
which replaces the module_init()/module_exit() registrations with
template functions.

Some platforms e.g. TI Davinci require 32-bit accesses to the UARTs.
The of_serial driver currently registers all UARTs as UPIO_MEM. Add a
new attribute "reg-io-width" to allow the port to be registered with
different IO width requirements.

Commit b826291c, "drivercore/dt: add a match table pointer to struct
device" added an of_match pointer to struct device to cache the
of_match_table entry discovered at driver match time. This was unsafe
because matching is not an atomic operation with probing a driver. If
two or more drivers are attempted to be matched to a driver at the
same time, then the cached matching entry pointer could get
overwritten.
This patch reverts the of_match cache pointer and reworks all users to
call of_match_device() directly instead.

compatible serial ports. device_type is an OpenFirmware property that

The serial drivers are really just tty drivers, so move them to
drivers/tty/ to make things a bit neater overall.
This is part of the tty/serial driver movement proceedure as proposed by
Arnd Bergmann and approved by everyone involved a number of months ago.
