2011-08-08USB: option driver: add PID for Vodafone-Huawei K4511Andrew Bird1-0/+3
This patch adds the product ID of Huawei's Vodafone K4511 mobile broadband modem to option.c. This is necessary so that the driver gets loaded on demand without the intervention of usb_modeswitch. This has the benefit of it becoming available faster and also ensures that the option driver is not bound to a network interface that should be claimed by cdc_ether. 2011-08-08usb: serial: ftdi_sio.c: For the FT232H FTDI_SIO_SET_BAUDRATE_REQUEST, index needs to be shifted tooUwe Bonnes1-1/+4
the recent addition of the FT232H showed that baudrate was set wrong. See gmane.linux.usb.general: "[ftdi_sio] FT232H support". With the old code, the MSB of the 4 encoded fractional divider bits and more important the clock predivider bits got lost. Adding the FT232H to the code patch were these bits are shifted solves the problem. I verified baud rates with a scope now. I suspect, that the BM device probably needs these bits shifted too. But there is no predivider bit, so this is not obvious, and a missing MSB of the encoded fractional divider only shifts the resulting baudrate minimal. The AM has only 3 bits of encoded fractional divider, so it is not impacted. I have no BM device to test, so I only added a comment and left the code for the BM untouched. 2011-06-27USB: Add new FT232H chip to drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.cUwe Bonnes3-6/+17
appended patch adds support for the new FTDI FT232H chip. This chip is a single channel version of the dual FT2232H/quad FT4232H, coming with it's own default PID 0x6014 (FT2232H uses the same PID 0x6010 like FT2232C, FT4232H has also it's own PID). 2011-06-07Revert "USB: option: add ID for ZTE MF 330"Greg Kroah-Hartman1-5/+0
This reverts commit a559d2c8c1bf652ea2d0ecd6ab4a250fcdb37db8. Turns out that device id 0x1d6b:0x0002 is a USB hub, which causes havoc when the option driver tries to bind to it. So revert this as it doesn't seem to be needed at all. Thanks to Michael Tokarev and Paweł Drobek for working on resolving this issue. 2011-06-06USB: option Add blacklist for ZTE K3765-Z (19d2:2002)Torsten Hilbrich1-1/+9
The funtion option_send_status times out when sending USB messages to the interfaces 0, 1, and 2 of this UMTS stick. This results in a 5s timeout in the function causing other tty operations to feel very sluggish. This patch adds a blacklist entry for these 3 interfaces on the ZTE K3765-Z device. I was also able to reproduce the problem with v2.6.38 and v2.6.39. This is very similar to a problem fixed in commit 7a89e4cb9cdaba92f5fbc509945cf4e3c48db4e2 Author: Herton Ronaldo Krzesinski <herton.krzesinski@canonical.com> Date: Wed Mar 9 09:19:48 2011 +0000 USB: serial: option: Apply OPTION_BLACKLIST_SENDSETUP also for ZTE MF626 Signed-off-by: Torsten Hilbrich <torsten.hilbrich@secunet.com> Cc: stable <stable@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

2011-06-06option: add Alcatel X200 to sendsetup blacklistDan Williams1-2/+11
This modem really wants sendsetup blacklisted for interfaces 0 and 1, otherwise the kernel hardlocks for about 10 seconds while waiting for the modem's firmware to respond, which it of course doesn't do. A slight complication here is that TCT (who owns the Alcatel brand) used the same USB IDs for the X200 as the X060s despite the devices having completely different firmware and AT command sets, so we end up adding the X060s to the blacklist at the same time. PSA to OEMs: don't use the same USB IDs for different devices. Really. It makes your kittens cry. 2011-05-17USB: option: add support for Huawei E353 deviceMarcin Gałczyński1-0/+2
I am sharing patch to the devices/usb/serial/option.c. This allows operation of Huawei E353 broadband modem using the “option” driver. The patch simply adds new constant with proper product ID and an entry to usb_device_id. I worked on the 2.6.38.6 sources. Tested on Dell inspiron 1764 (i3 core cpu) and brand new Huawei E353 modem, Fedora 15 beta. Looking at the type of change, i doubt it has potential to introduce problems in other parts of kernel or the driver itself. 2011-04-13Revert "USB: sam-ba: add driver for Atmel SAM Boot Assistant (SAM-BA)"Johan Hovold3-216/+0
This reverts commit 90593899de83a6e6fdea563d058acd2f4334e3f9. SAM-BA devices identify themselves CDC-ACM devices and should be using the cdc-acm driver. Since commit 5b239f0aebd4dd6f85b13decf5e18e86e35d57f0 (USB: cdc-acm: Add pseudo modem without AT command capabilities) cdc-acm also binds to them. Note that the Atmel SAM-BA tools expect to use a USB-serial driver and thus require a symlink from /dev/ttyACMn to some /dev/ttyUSBm (with m < 30) to be able to select the device. This is simply a UI-issue that should be fixed by Atmel. Tested with the SAM-BA 2.10 tools and an Atmel at91sam9260-ek. 2011-02-28USB: serial/kobil_sct, fix potential tty NULL dereferenceJiri Slaby1-1/+1
Make sure that we check the return value of tty_port_tty_get. Sometimes it may return NULL and we later dereference that. The only place here is in kobil_read_int_callback, so fix it. 2011-02-28USB: serial/keyspan_pda, fix potential tty NULL dereferencesJiri Slaby1-7/+8
Make sure that we check the return value of tty_port_tty_get. Sometimes it may return NULL and we later dereference that. There are several places to check. For easier handling, tty_port_tty_get is moved directly to the palce where needed in keyspan_pda_rx_interrupt.
