2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: move pseudo palette into sa1100fb_info structureRussell King1-6/+3
Move the pseudo palette inside the driver private data structure so we don't have to play tricks to cater for it. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: fix video memory allocation leakRussell King1-5/+5
Don't leak the video memory allocation if register_framebuffer() fails. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: clean up failure pathRussell King1-13/+8
We merely return from the failed path, so remove all the gotos and use return statements instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: use devm_gpio_request_one()Russell King1-10/+7
Switch to using devm_gpio_request_one() to request the shannon gpio and move the request before the video memory allocation, so we request all device managed resources before this large allocation attempt. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: use devm_request_irq()Russell King1-9/+8
Use devm_request_irq() to request the interrupt (a little earlier too) so we can avoid having to manually clean this up. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: use devm_ioremap_resource()Russell King1-12/+8
Use devm_ioremap_resource() to map the LCD controller memory region, and remove the unnecessary cleanup for this. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: use devm_clk_get()Russell King1-4/+1
Use devm_clk_get() to get the clock for the LCD. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2017-10-17video: sa1100fb: use devm_kzalloc()Russell King1-4/+2
Use devm_kzalloc() when allocating the private data for the framebuffer device. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2016-03-09dma, mm/pat: Rename dma_*_writecombine() to dma_*_wc()Luis R. Rodriguez1-4/+4
Rename dma_*_writecombine() to dma_*_wc(), so that the naming is coherent across the various write-combining APIs. Keep the old names for compatibility for a while, these can be removed at a later time. A guard is left to enable backporting of the rename, and later remove of the old mapping defines seemlessly. Build tested successfully with allmodconfig. The following Coccinelle SmPL patch was used for this simple transformation: @ rename_dma_alloc_writecombine @ expression dev, size, dma_addr, gfp; @@ -dma_alloc_writecombine(dev, size, dma_addr, gfp) +dma_alloc_wc(dev, size, dma_addr, gfp) @ rename_dma_free_writecombine @ expression dev, size, cpu_addr, dma_addr; @@ -dma_free_writecombine(dev, size, cpu_addr, dma_addr) +dma_free_wc(dev, size, cpu_addr, dma_addr) @ rename_dma_mmap_writecombine @ expression dev, vma, cpu_addr, dma_addr, size; @@ -dma_mmap_writecombine(dev, vma, cpu_addr, dma_addr, size) +dma_mmap_wc(dev, vma, cpu_addr, dma_addr, size) We also keep the old names as compatibility helpers, and guard against their definition to make backporting easier. 2015-09-01cpufreq: remove redundant CPUFREQ_INCOMPATIBLE notifier eventViresh Kumar1-1/+0
What's being done from CPUFREQ_INCOMPATIBLE, can also be done with CPUFREQ_ADJUST. There is nothing special with CPUFREQ_INCOMPATIBLE notifier. Kill CPUFREQ_INCOMPATIBLE and fix its usage sites. This also updates the numbering of notifier events to remove holes. Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com>

Pull driver core update from Greg KH: "Here's the set of driver core patches for 3.19-rc1. They are dominated by the removal of the .owner field in platform drivers. They touch a lot of files, but they are "simple" changes, just removing a line in a structure. Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There are some ath9k patches coming in through this tree that have been acked by the wireless maintainers as they relied on the debugfs changes. 2014-04-17video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen1-0/+1340
The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch.
