2017-11-21treewide: Switch DEFINE_TIMER callbacks to struct timer_list *Kees Cook1-2/+2
This changes all DEFINE_TIMER() callbacks to use a struct timer_list pointer instead of unsigned long. Since the data argument has already been removed, none of these callbacks are using their argument currently, so this renames the argument to "unused". 2015-09-09Watchdog: Fix parent of watchdog_devicesPratyush Anand1-0/+1
/sys/class/watchdog/watchdogn/device/modalias can help to identify the driver/module for a given watchdog node. However, many wdt devices do not set their parent and so, we do not see an entry for device in sysfs for such devices. This patch fixes parent of watchdog_device so that /sys/class/watchdog/watchdogn/device is populated. Exceptions: booke, diag288, octeon, softdog and w83627hf -- They do not have any parent. Not sure, how we can identify driver for these devices. Use del_timer_sync to ensure that the timer is stopped on all CPUs before the driver exits. This change was suggested by Thomas Gleixner. 2012-01-06watchdog: new driver for VIA chipsetsMarc Vertes1-0/+267
New driver for the hardware watchdog timer on VIA chipsets. This driver uses the new watchdog framework. PnP must be enabled in BIOS to get full control of watchdog registers.
