Add support for .mark_txdone and .poll_done transport operations to SCMI
VirtIO transport as pre-requisites to enable atomic operations.
Add a Kernel configuration option to enable SCMI VirtIO transport polling
and atomic mode for selected SCMI transactions while leaving it default
disabled.

Currently SCMI VirtIO channels are marked with a ready flag and related
lock to track channel lifetime and support proper synchronization at
shutdown when virtqueues have to be stopped.
This leads to some extended spinlocked sections with IRQs off on the RX
path to keep hold of the ready flag and does not scale well especially when
SCMI VirtIO polling mode will be introduced.
Add an SCMI VirtIO channel dedicated refcount to track active users on both
the TX and the RX path and properly enforce synchronization and cleanup at
shutdown, inhibiting further usage of the channel once freed.

We are seeing below warnings:

kernel: [25398.421831] ath11k_pci 0000:01:00.0: dropping mgmt frame for vdev 0, is_started 0
this means ath11k fails to flush mgmt. frames because wmi_mgmt_tx_work

By setting /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs to 20 and increasing

With above info the issue is clear: First wmi_mgmt_tx_work is inserted
to local->workqueue after sdata->work inserted, then wpa_supplicant
acquires wdev->mtx in nl80211_deauthenticate and finally calls
ath11k_mac_op_flush where it waits all mgmt. frames to be sent out by
wmi_mgmt_tx_work. Meanwhile, sdata->work is blocked by wdev->mtx in
ieee80211_sta_work, as a result wmi_mgmt_tx_work has no chance to run.
Change to use ab->workqueue instead of local->workqueue to fix this issue.

In some scenarios like firmware crashes during init time
and hardware gets restarted after qmi firmware ready event.
During restart, ath11k_core_qmi_firmware_ready() returns timeout.
But, this failure is not handled and ATH11K_FLAG_REGISTERED is set.
When hardware restart completed, firmware sends firmware ready event
again. Since ATH11K_FLAG_REGISTERED is already set, ath11k handles
this as core restart. Inits are not done because of previous timeout.
But ath11k_core_restart does deinit's which causes NULL pointer crash.
Fix this by handling failure from ath11k_core_qmi_firmware_ready().

REO2SW ring descriptor is currently allocated in cacheable memory.
While reaping reo ring entries on second trial after updating head
pointer, first entry is not invalidated before accessing it.
This results in host reaping and using cached descriptor which is
already overwritten in memory by DMA device (HW).
Since the contents of descriptor(buffer id, peer info and other information
bits) are outdated host throws errors like below while parsing corresponding
MSDU's and drops them.
[347712.048904] ath11k_pci 0004:01:00.0: msdu_done bit in attention is not set
[349173.355503] ath11k_pci 0004:01:00.0: frame rx with invalid buf_id 962
Move the try_again: label above ath11k_hal_srng_access_begin()
so that first entry will be invalidated and prefetched.

There is a regular need in the kernel to provide a way to declare
having a dynamically sized set of trailing elements in a structure.
Kernel code should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these
cases. The older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should
no longer be used[2].

The VBT DSI video transfer mode field values have been defined in terms
of the VLV MIPI_VIDEO_MODE_FORMAT register. The ICL DSI code maps that
to ICL DSI_TRANS_FUNC_CONF() register. The values are the same, though
the shift is different.
Make a clean break and disassociate the values from each other. Assume
the values can be different, and translate the VBT value to VLV and ICL
register values as needed. Use the existing macros from intel_bios.h.
This will be useful in splitting the DSI register macros to files by DSI

If the only thing that is changing is SAGV vs. no SAGV but
the number of active planes and the total data rates end up
unchanged we currently bail out of intel_bw_atomic_check()
early and forget to actually compute the new WGV point
mask and thus won't actually enable/disable SAGV as requested.
This ends up poorly if we end up running with SAGV enabled
when we shouldn't. Usually ends up in underruns.
To fix this let's go through the QGV point mask computation
if either the data rates/number of planes, or the state
of SAGV is changing.

the extra calculations/debugs from introducing unwanted

When changing between SAGV vs. no SAGV on tgl+ we have to
update the use_sagv_wm flag for all the crtcs or else
an active pipe not already in the state will end up using
the wrong watermarks. That is especially bad when we end up
with the tighter non-SAGV watermarks with SAGV enabled.
Usually ends up in underruns.

BIOS may leave a TypeC PHY in a connected state even though the
corresponding port is disabled. This will prevent any hotplug events
from being signalled (after the monitor deasserts and then reasserts its
HPD) until the PHY is disconnected and so the driver will not detect a
connected sink. Rebooting with the PHY in the connected state also
results in a system hang.
Fix the above by disconnecting TypeC PHYs on disabled ports.
Before commit 64851a32c463e5 the PHY connected state was read out even
for disabled ports and later the PHY got disconnected as a side effect
of a tc_port_lock/unlock() sequence (during connector probing), hence
recovering the port's hotplug functionality.

FSI_SBEFIFO_READ_TIMEOUT_SECONDS ioctl sets the read timeout (in
seconds) for the response received by sbefifo device from sbe. The
timeout affects only the read operation on current sbefifo device fd.
Certain SBE operations can take long time to complete and the default
timeout of 10 seconds might not be sufficient to start receiving
response from SBE. In such cases, allow the timeout to be set to the
maximum of 120 seconds.
The kernel does not contain the definition of the various SBE
operations, so we must expose an interface to userspace to set the
timeout for the given operation.

If the driver sequence number coincidentally equals the previous
command response sequence number, the driver may proceed with
fetching the entire buffer before the OCC has processed the current
command. To be sure the correct response is obtained, check the
command type and also retry if any of the response parameters have
changed when the rest of the buffer is fetched. Also initialize the
driver with a random sequence number in order to reduce the chances
of this happening.

struct drm_display_mode embeds a list head, so overwriting
the full struct with another one will corrupt the list
(if the destination mode is on a list). Use drm_mode_copy()
instead which explicitly preserves the list head of
the destination mode.
Even if we know the destination mode is not on any list
using drm_mode_copy() seems decent as it sets a good
example. Bad examples of not using it might eventually
get copied into code where preserving the list head
actually matters.
Obviously one case not covered here is when the mode
itself is embedded in a larger structure and the whole
structure is copied. But if we are careful when copying
into modes embedded in structures I think we can be a
little more reassured that bogus list heads haven't been
propagated in.

To keep high sensitivity reaction, Bluetooth gaming controller will send
packet very frequently, it will make WLAN performance very poor. To solve
this situation, MIMO PS mechanism makes WLAN/BT own an antenna itself, WLAN
quits 2SS performance but it can get a stable 1SS performance and Bluetooth
gaming controller can keep sensitivity reaction at the same time.

In some case, wifi chip need to be configed to be TX/RX 1ss mode.
For this mode, wifi components, such as MAC/BB/RF, need to be
specially set, and driver need to send SMPS action frame to inform AP.

Syzbot reported an slab-out-of-bounds Read in thrustmaster_probe() bug.
The root case is in missing validation check of actual number of endpoints.
Code should not blindly access usb_host_interface::endpoint array, since
it may contain less endpoints than code expects.
Fix it by adding missing validaion check and print an error if
number of endpoints do not match expected number
Fixes: c49c33637802 ("HID: support for initialization of some Thrustmaster wheels")

The imx_pgc_power_down() starts by enabling the domain clocks, and thus
disables them in the error path. Commit 18c98573a4cf ("soc: imx: gpcv2:
add domain option to keep domain clocks enabled") made the clock enable
conditional, but forgot to add the same condition to the error path.
This can result in a clock enable/disable imbalance. Fix it.

This is caused by the VMD MSI code which does a lookup of the Linux
interrupt number for an VMD managed MSI[X] vector. The lookup function
tries to acquire the already held mutex.
Avoid that by caching the Linux interrupt number at initialization time
instead of looking it up over and over.

built around the Novatek NT35560 panel controllers so just bite

the Novatek NT35560 display controller.
