By profiling, discovered that ena device driver allocates skb by
build_skb() and frees by napi_skb_cache_put(). Because the driver
does not use napi skb cache in allocation path, napi skb cache is
periodically filled and flushed. This is waste of napi skb cache.
As ena_alloc_skb() is called only in napi, Use napi_build_skb()
and napi_alloc_skb() when allocating skb.
This patch was tested on aws a1.metal instance.

Current macsec netdev notify handler handles NETDEV_UNREGISTER event by
releasing relevant SW resources only, this causes resources leak in case
of macsec HW offload, as the underlay driver was not notified to clean
it's macsec offload resources.
Fix by calling the underlay driver to clean it's relevant resources
by moving offload handling from macsec_dellink() to macsec_common_dellink()

Change qed_mcp_cmd() to use msleep() (by setting QED_MB_FLAG_CAN_SLEEP
flag) and add new nosleep() version of the api. These api are used to
issue cmds to management fw and the change affects how driver
behaves while waiting for a response/resource.
All sleepable callers of the existing api now use msleep() version. For
non-sleepable callers, the new nosleep() version is explicitly used.

Unlike gmac100, gmac1000, gmac4 has 27 DMA registers and they are
located at DMA_CHAN_BASE_ADDR (0x1100). In order for ethtool to dump
gmac4 DMA registers correctly, this commit checks if a net_device has
gmac4 and uses different logic to dump its DMA registers.
This fixes the following KASAN warning, which can normally be triggered
by a command similar like "ethtool -d eth0":

Quoting the header comments, IRQF_ONESHOT is "Used by threaded interrupts
which need to keep the irq line disabled until the threaded handler has
been run.". When applied to an interrupt that doesn't request a threaded
irq then IRQF_ONESHOT has a lesser known (undocumented?) side effect,
which it to disable the forced threading of the irq. For "normal" kernels
(without forced threading) then, if there is no thread_fn, then
IRQF_ONESHOT is a nop.
In this case disabling forced threading is not appropriate for this driver
because it calls wake_up_all() and this API cannot be called from
no-thread interrupt handlers on PREEMPT_RT systems (deadlock risk, triggers
sleeping-while-atomic warnings).
Fix this by removing IRQF_ONESHOT.

Fix the crash in kernel while dereferencing the NULL pointer,
when the driver is unloaded and simultaneously the VSI rings
are being stopped.
The hardware requires 50msec in order to finish RX queues
disable. For this purpose the driver spins in mdelay function
for the operation to be completed.
For example changing number of queues which requires reset would
fail in the following call stack:
1) i40e_prep_for_reset
2) i40e_pf_quiesce_all_vsi
3) i40e_quiesce_vsi
4) i40e_vsi_close
5) i40e_down
6) i40e_vsi_stop_rings
7) i40e_vsi_control_rx -> disable requires the delay of 50msecs
8) continue back in i40e_down function where
i40e_clean_tx_ring(vsi->tx_rings[i]) is going to crash
When the driver was spinning vsi_release called
i40e_vsi_free_arrays where the vsi->tx_rings resources
were freed and the pointer was set to NULL.

Bounds checking when parsing init scripts embedded in the BIOS reject
access to the last byte. This causes driver initialization to fail on
Apple eMac's with GeForce 2 MX GPUs, leaving the system with no working
console.
This is probably only seen on OpenFirmware machines like PowerPC Macs
because the BIOS image provided by OF is only the used parts of the ROM,
not a power-of-two blocks read from PCI directly so PCs always have
empty bytes at the end that are never accessed.

Because WB performs writes in SLC mode, it is not possible to use
WriteBooster indefinitely. Vendors can set a lifetime limit in the device.
If the lifetime exceeds this limit, the device ican disable the WB feature.
The feature is defined in the "bWriteBoosterBufferLifeTimeEst (IDN = 1E)"
attribute.
With lifetime exceeding the limit value, the current driver continuously
performs the following query:
- Write Flag: WB_ENABLE / DISABLE
- Read attr: Available Buffer Size
- Read attr: Current Buffer Size
This patch recognizes that WriteBooster is no longer supported by the
device, and prevents unnecessary queries.

Currently a use-after-free may occur if a sas_task is aborted by the upper
layer before we handle the I/O completion in mpi_ssp_completion() or
mpi_sata_completion().
In this case, the following are the two steps in handling those I/O
completions:
- Call complete() to inform the upper layer handler of completion of
the I/O.
- Release driver resources associated with the sas_task in
pm8001_ccb_task_free() call.
When complete() is called, the upper layer may free the sas_task. As such,
we should not touch the associated sas_task afterwards, but we do so in the
pm8001_ccb_task_free() call.
Fix by swapping the complete() and pm8001_ccb_task_free() calls ordering.

Currently a use-after-free may occur if a TMF sas_task is aborted before we
handle the IO completion in mpi_ssp_completion(). The abort occurs due to
timeout.
When the timeout occurs, the SAS_TASK_STATE_ABORTED flag is set and the
sas_task is freed in pm8001_exec_internal_tmf_task().
However, if the I/O completion occurs later, the I/O completion still
thinks that the sas_task is available. Fix this by clearing the ccb->task
if the TMF times out - the I/O completion handler does nothing if this
pointer is cleared.

it's an optimization that tells to the TZ what's the maximum
mappable size for the secure IOMMUs, so that it can optimize
the data structures in the TZ itself.

Member assignments to qcom_scm_desc were moved into struct initializers
in 57d3b816718c ("firmware: qcom_scm: Remove thin wrappers") including
the case in qcom_scm_iommu_secure_ptbl_init, except that the - now
duplicate - assignment to desc was left in place. While not harmful,
remove this unnecessary extra reassignment.

If only linear modifier is advertised, since there are many drivers that
only linear supported, the DRM core should handle this rather than
open-coding in every driver. However, there are legacy drivers such as
radeon that do not support modifiers but infer the actual layout of the
underlying buffer. Therefore, a new flag fb_modifiers_not_supported is
introduced for these legacy drivers, and allow_fb_modifiers is replaced
with this new flag.

We currently use ->cmd_per_lun as initial queue depth for setting up the
budget_map. Martin Wilck reported that it is common for the queue_depth to
be subsequently updated in slave_configure() based on detected hardware
characteristics.
As a result, for some drivers, the static host template settings for
cmd_per_lun and can_queue won't actually get used in practice. And if the
default values are used to allocate the budget_map, memory may be consumed
unnecessarily.
Fix the issue by reallocating the budget_map after ->slave_configure()
returns. At that time the device queue_depth should accurately reflect what
the hardware needs.

For now, if the XDP prog returns XDP_PASS on XSK, the metadata

{__,}napi_alloc_skb() allocates and reserves additional NET_SKB_PAD
+ NET_IP_ALIGN for any skb.
OTOH, ixgbe_construct_skb_zc() currently allocates and reserves
additional `xdp->data - xdp->data_hard_start`, which is
XDP_PACKET_HEADROOM for XSK frames.
There's no need for that at all as the frame is post-XDP and will
go only to the networking stack core.
Pass the size of the actual data only to __napi_alloc_skb() and
don't reserve anything. This will give enough headroom for stack
processing.

pass bi->xdp as an argument instead of bi. We can also call
xsk_buff_free() outside of the function as well as assign bi->xdp

In "legacy-rx" mode represented by ice_construct_skb(), we can
still use XDP (and XDP metadata), but after XDP_PASS the metadata
