Add rtl_disable_exit_l1() for ensuring that the chip doesn't
inadvertently exit ASPM L1 when being in a low-power mode.
The new function is called from rtl_prepare_power_down() which
has to be moved in the code to avoid a forward declaration.
According to Realtek OCP register 0xc0ac shadows ERI register 0xd4
on RTL8168 versions from RTL8168g. This allows to simplify the
code a little.

Before this change, both the read and write callback would start out
by asserting that the chip's busy flag was cleared. However, both
callbacks also made sure to wait for the clearing of the busy bit
before returning - making the initial check superfluous. The only
time that would ever have an effect was if the busy bit was initially
set for some reason.
With that in mind, make sure to perform an initial check of the busy
bit, after which both read and write can rely the previous operation
to have waited for the bit to clear.
This cuts the number of operations on the underlying MDIO bus by 25%

Avoid a long delay when a busy bit is still set and has to be polled
again.
Measurements on a system with 2 Opals (6097F) and one Agate (6352)
show that even with this much tighter loop, we have about a 50% chance
of the bit being cleared on the first poll, all other accesses see the
bit being cleared on the second poll.
On a standard MDIO bus running MDC at 2.5MHz, a single access with 32
bits of preamble plus 32 bits of data takes 64*(1/2.5MHz) = 25.6us.
This means that mv88e6xxx_smi_direct_wait took 26us + CPU overhead in
the fast scenario, but 26us + 1500us + 26us + CPU overhead in the slow
case - bringing the average close to 1ms.
With this change in place, the slow case is closer to 2*26us + CPU
overhead, with the average well below 100us - a 10x improvement.
This translates to real-world winnings. On a 3-chip 20-port system,
the modprobe time drops by 88%:
Before:
root@coronet:~# time modprobe mv88e6xxx
real 0m 15.99s
user 0m 0.00s
sys 0m 1.52s
After:

Another examples is ipv6 neighbor solicitation and advertisement

with Link-layer address in the option message.
The patch implements bond6's tx handle for ipv6 neighbor

Programmable lab power supplies made by GW Instek, such as the
GPP-2323, have a USB port exposing a serial port to control the device.
Stringing the supplied Windows driver, references to the ch341 chip are
found. Binding the existing ch341 driver to the VID/PID of the GPP-2323
("GW Instek USB2.0-Serial" as per the USB product name) works out of the
box, communication and control is now possible.
This patch should work with any GPP series power supply due to
similarities in the product line.

Consider a case where ffs_func_eps_disable is called from
ffs_func_disable as part of composition switch and at the
same time ffs_epfile_release get called from userspace.
ffs_epfile_release will free up the read buffer and call
ffs_data_closed which in turn destroys ffs->epfiles and
mark it as NULL. While this was happening the driver has
already initialized the local epfile in ffs_func_eps_disable
which is now freed and waiting to acquire the spinlock. Once
spinlock is acquired the driver proceeds with the stale value
of epfile and tries to free the already freed read buffer
causing use-after-free.
Following is the illustration of the race:
CPU1 CPU2
ffs_func_eps_disable
epfiles (local copy)
ffs_epfile_release
ffs_data_closed
if (last file closed)
ffs_data_reset
ffs_data_clear
ffs_epfiles_destroy
spin_lock
dereference epfiles
Fix this races by taking epfiles local copy & assigning it under
spinlock and if epfiles(local) is null then update it in ffs->epfiles
then finally destroy it.
Extending the scope further from the race, protecting the ep related
structures, and concurrent accesses.

All timestamps returned by GuC for GuC PMU busyness are captured from
GUC PM TIMESTAMP. Since this timestamp does not tick when GuC goes idle,
kmd uses RING_TIMESTAMP to measure busyness of an engine with an active

In commit f72ddbe1d7b7 ("fsi: scom: Remove retries") the retries were
removed from get and put scoms. That patch missed the retires in get and
put indirect scom.
For the same reason, remove them from the scom driver to allow the
caller to decide to retry.
This removes the following special case which would have caused the
retry code to return early:
- if ((ind_data & XSCOM_DATA_IND_COMPLETE) || (err != SCOM_PIB_BLOCKED))
- return 0;
I believe this case is handled.

SCOM error handling is made complex by trying to pass around two bits of
information: the function return code, and a status parameter that
represents the CFAM error status register.
The commit f72ddbe1d7b7 ("fsi: scom: Remove retries") removed the
"hidden" retries in the SCOM driver, in preference of allowing the
calling code (userspace or driver) to decide how to handle a failed
SCOM. However it introduced a bug by attempting to be smart about the
return codes that were "errors" and which were ok to fall through to the
status register parsing.
We get the following errors:
- EINVAL or ENXIO, for indirect scoms where the value is invalid
- EINVAL, where the size or address is incorrect
- EIO or ETIMEOUT, where FSI write failed (aspeed master)
- EAGAIN, where the master detected a crc error (GPIO master only)
- EBUSY, where the bus is disabled (GPIO master in external mode)
In all of these cases we should fail the SCOM read/write and return the
error.
Thanks to Dan Carpenter for the detailed bug report.

The logic that detects, enables and disables pfvf interrupts was
expecting a single CSR per VF. Instead, the source and mask register are
two registers with a bit per VF.
Due to this, the driver is reading and setting reserved CSRs and not
masking the correct source of interrupts.
Fix the access to the source and mask register for QAT GEN4 devices by
removing the outer loop in adf_gen4_get_vf2pf_sources(),
adf_gen4_enable_vf2pf_interrupts() and
adf_gen4_disable_vf2pf_interrupts() and changing the helper macros
ADF_4XXX_VM2PF_SOU and ADF_4XXX_VM2PF_MSK.

When adding hashes support to sun8i-ss, I have added them only on A83T.
But I forgot that 0 is a valid algorithm ID, so hashes are enabled on A80 but
with an incorrect ID.
Anyway, even with correct IDs, hashes do not work on A80 and I cannot
find why.
So let's disable all of them on A80.

This code has two bugs:
1) "cnt" is 255 but the size of the buffer is 256 so the last byte is
not used.
2) If we try to print more than 255 characters then "cnt" will be
negative and that will trigger a WARN() in snprintf(). The fix for
this is to use scnprintf() instead of snprintf().
We can re-write this code to be cleaner:
1) Rename "offset" to "off" because that's shorter.
2) Get rid of the "cnt" variable and just use "size - off" directly.
3) Get rid of the "read" variable and just increment "off" directly.

The pm_runtime_enable will increase power disable depth.
If the probe fails, we should use pm_runtime_disable() to balance
pm_runtime_enable(). In the PM Runtime docs:
Drivers in ->remove() callback should undo the runtime PM changes done
in ->probe(). Usually this means calling pm_runtime_disable(),
pm_runtime_dont_use_autosuspend() etc.
We should do this in error handling.
Fix this problem for the following drivers: bmc150, bmg160, kmx61,
