When CONFIG_QCOM_AOSS_QMP=m and CONFIG_QCOM_Q6V5_MSS=y, the builtin
driver cannot call into the loadable module's low-level service
functions. Trying to build with that config combo causes linker errors.
There are two problems here. First, drivers/remoteproc/qcom_q6v5.c
should #include <linux/soc/qcom/qcom_aoss.h> for the definitions of
the service functions, depending on whether CONFIG_QCOM_AOSS_QMP is
set/enabled or not. Second, the qcom remoteproc drivers should depend
on QCOM_AOSS_QMP iff it is enabled (=y or =m) so that the qcom
remoteproc drivers can be built properly.
This prevents these build errors:
aarch64-linux-ld: drivers/remoteproc/qcom_q6v5.o: in function `q6v5_load_state_toggle':
qcom_q6v5.c:(.text+0xc4): undefined reference to `qmp_send'

struct rpmsg_eptdev contains a struct cdev. The current code frees
the rpmsg_eptdev struct in rpmsg_eptdev_destroy(), but the cdev is
a managed object, therefore its release is not predictable and the
rpmsg_eptdev could be freed before the cdev is entirely released.
The cdev_device_add/del() API was created to address this issue
(see commit '233ed09d7fda ("chardev: add helper function to register
char devs with a struct device")'), use it instead of cdev add/del().

sufficiently recent x86 systems to avoid issues with allocating
PCI BARs on systems where the E820 reservations cover the entire
PCI host bridge memory window returned by the _CRS object in the
system's ACPI tables (Hans de Goede).
- Add more sanity checking to ACPI SPCR tables parsing (Mark
Langsdorf).
- Fix up ACPI APD (AMD Soc) driver initialization (Jiasheng Jiang).
- Drop unnecessary "static" from the ACPI PCC address space handling
driver added recently (kernel test robot).

Commit 7cfa9c92d0a3 ("net: sfp: avoid power switch on address-change
modules") unintetionally changed the semantics for high power modules
without the digital diagnostics monitoring. We repeatedly attempt to
read the power status from the non-existing 0xa2 address in a futile
hope this failure is temporary:
[ 8.856051] sfp sfp-eth3: module NTT 0000000000000000 rev 0000 sn 0000000000000000 dc 160408

[ 8.873469] sfp sfp-eth3: Failed to read EEPROM: -5
[ 8.983251] sfp sfp-eth3: Failed to read EEPROM: -5
[ 9.103250] sfp sfp-eth3: Failed to read EEPROM: -5
We previosuly assumed such modules were powered up in the correct mode,
continuing without further configuration as long as the required power
class was supported by the host.
Restore this behaviour, while preserving the intent of subsequent
patches to avoid the "Address Change Sequence not supported" warning
if we are not going to be accessing the DDM address.

It will connect to the mipi dsi host and find the corresponding
mipi dsi host node, but the node registered by the mipi dsi host
has not been loaded yet. of_find_mipi_dsi_host_by_node() returns -EINVAL
which causes the calling driver to fail.
If the anx7625 driver is loaded afterwards the driver requesting
the mipi dsi host will not notice this.
Better approach is to return -EPROBE_DEFER in such case.
Then when the anx7625 driver appears the driver requesting
the mipi dsi host will be probed again.

The strlcpy should not be used because it doesn't limit the source
length. So that it will lead some potential bugs.
But the strscpy doesn't require reading memory from the src string
beyond the specified "count" bytes, and since the return value is
easier to error-check than strlcpy()'s. In addition, the implementation
is robust to the string changing out from underneath it, unlike the
current strlcpy() implementation.
Thus, replace strlcpy with strscpy.

To close this race, call __register_blkdev() just before leaving

QCA6174 card often hangs with the current htt_rx_desc
memory layout in some circumstances, because its firmware
fails to handle length differences.
Therefore we must abstract the htt_rx_desc structure
and operations on it, to allow different wireless cards
to use different, unrelated rx descriptor structures.
Define a base htt_rx_desc structure and htt_rx_desc_v1
for use with the QCA family of ath10k supported cards
and htt_rx_desc_v2 for use with the WCN3990 card.
Define htt_rx_desc_ops which contains the abstract operations
to access the generic htt_rx_desc, give implementations
for each card and update htt_rx.c to use the defined
abstract interface to rx descriptors.

There is an issue that WCN6855 tries to connect to an AP using
a hardware rate of 1Mb/s , even though the AP has announced
expected rates as [24, 36, 48, 54] in Probe Response frame.
The reason is that WCN6855 firmware clears hardware rate info
of management frames when vdev starts and uses 1Mb/s as default.
To solve it, reconfigure the rate after vdev is started.

kmalloc_array()/kcalloc() should be used to avoid potential overflow when
a multiplication is needed to compute the size of the requested memory.
kmalloc_array() can be used here instead of kcalloc() because the array is
fully initialized in the next 'for' loop.
Finally, 'cd->detectors' is defined as 'struct pri_detector **detectors;'.

There is an offset between routing values (1..6) and the connected MIPS
CPU interrupts (2..7), but no distinction was made between these two
values.
This issue was previously hidden during testing, because an interrupt
mapping was used where for each required interrupt another (unused)
routing was configured, with an offset of +1.
Offset the CPU IRQ numbers by -1 to retrieve the correct routing value.

Move DisplayPort functions into a separate module to reduce the size
of the KMS helpers. Select DRM_DP_HELPER for all users of the code. To
avoid naming conflicts, rename drm_dp_helper.c to drm_dp.c
This change can help to reduce the size of the kernel binary. Some
numbers from a x86-64 test build:
Before:
drm_kms_helper.ko: 447480 bytes
After:
drm_dp_helper.ko: 216632 bytes
drm_kms_helper.ko: 239424 bytes
For early-boot graphics, generic DRM drivers, such as simpledrm,
require DRM KMS helpers to be built into the kernel. Generic helper
functions for DisplayPort take up a significant portion of DRM KMS
helper library. These functions are not used by generic drivers and
can be loaded as a module.

On a dual core group GPUs (such as T628) fragment shading can be
performed over all cores (because a fragment shader job doesn't
need coherency between threads), however vertex shading requires
to be run on the same core group as the tiler (which always lives
in core group 0).
As a first step to support T628 power on only the first core group
(so no jobs are scheduled on the second one). This makes T628 look
like every other Midgard GPU (and throws away up to half the cores).
With this patch panfrost is able to drive T628 (r1p0) GPU on some
armv8 SoCs (in particular BE-M1000). Without the patch rendering
is horribly broken (desktop is completely unusable) and eventually
the GPU locks up (it takes from a few seconds to a couple of
minutes).
Using the second core group requires support in Mesa (and an UABI
change): the userspace should
1) set PANFROST_JD_DOESNT_NEED_COHERENCY_ON_GPU flag to opt-in
to allowing the job to run across all cores.
2) set PANFROST_RUN_ON_SECOND_CORE_GROUP flag to allow compute
jobs to be run on the second core group (at the moment Mesa
does not advertise compute support on anything older than
Mali T760)
But there's little point adding such flags until someone (myself)
steps up to do the Mesa work.

Prior to Linux v5.4 devtmpfs used mount_single() which treats the given
mount options as "remount" options, so it updates the configuration of
the single super_block on each mount.
Since that was changed, the mount options used for devtmpfs are ignored.
This is a regression which affect systemd - which mounts devtmpfs with
"-o mode=755,size=4m,nr_inodes=1m".
This patch restores the "remount" effect by calling reconfigure_single()
