Pull parisc fixes from Helge Deller: "Some interesting background to the current patchset: It turned out that the fldw instruction (which loads a 32-bit word from memory into one half of a FP register) failed on unaligned addresses and even trashed some other random FP register instead. It's a trivial one-liner fix in the exception handler but this failure dates back to the very beginnings of the parisc-port. It's strange that it was never noticed before. Another patch fixes an annoyance noticed by Randy Dunlap. Running "make ARCH=parisc64 randconfig" always returned a 32-bit config, although one would expect a 64-bit config. Masahiro Yamada suggested to mimik sparc Kconfig code, which fixed the issue nicely. This allowed to drop some compiler build checks too. Third, it's possible to build an optimized 32-bit kernel for PA8X00 (64-bit) CPUs, which then wouldn't start on 32-bit-only (PA1.x) machines. I've added a bootup check which prevents that and which prints a message to the console. This can be tested with qemu, which currently only supports 32-bit emulation. The other patches are usual clean-up stuff like added return value checks and typo fixes in comments. The devm_clk_get_enabled() helper: - calls devm_clk_get() - calls clk_prepare_enable() and registers what is needed in order to call clk_disable_unprepare() when needed, as a managed resource. This simplifies the code, the error handling paths and avoid the need of a dedicated function used with devm_add_action_or_reset(). 2022-08-23rtc: gamecube: Always reset HW_SRNPROT after readEmmanuel Gil Peyrot1-6/+5
This register would fail to be reset if reading the RTC bias failed for whichever reason. This commit reorganises the code around to unconditionally write it back to its previous value, unmap it, and return the result of regmap_read(), which makes it both simpler and more correct in the error case. During boot, the driver prints out a stray carriage return character. Remove it, together with the preceding space character. 2022-08-23fs: dlm: remove DLM_LSFL_FS from uapiAlexander Aring1-2/+2
The DLM_LSFL_FS flag is set in lockspaces created directly for a kernel user, as opposed to those lockspaces created for user space applications. The user space libdlm allowed this flag to be set for lockspaces created from user space, but then used by a kernel user. No kernel user has ever used this method, so remove the ability to do it. 2022-08-23cpufreq: check only freq_table in __resolve_freq()Lukasz Luba1-1/+1
There is no need to check if the cpufreq driver implements callback cpufreq_driver::target_index. The logic in the __resolve_freq uses the frequency table available in the policy. It doesn't matter if the driver provides 'target_index' or 'target' callback. It just has to populate the 'policy->freq_table'. Thus, check only frequency table during the frequency resolving call. 2022-08-23thermal/int340x_thermal: handle data_vault when the value is ZERO_SIZE_PTRLee, Chun-Yi1-4/+5
In some case, the GDDV returns a package with a buffer which has zero length. It causes that kmemdup() returns ZERO_SIZE_PTR (0x10). Then the data_vault_read() got NULL point dereference problem when accessing the 0x10 value in data_vault. Add support for LDO_510 and FTSMPS3 regulators, all belonging to register layout HFSMPS. This is done in preparation for adding support for the PM6125 PMIC. 2022-08-23regulator: qcom_spmi: Add support for HFSMPS regulator typeIskren Chernev1-1/+114
This is preparation for supporing PM6125. The HFSMPS is a BUCK type regulator with subtype 0x0a, same as the existing HFS430 regulator. Even though the HFSMPS and HFS430 share a type and subtype, the HFSMPS has an updated register map, including different mode values, moved pull down register, and different slew rate address and formula. In addition to NORMAL (NPM), FAST (AUTO_LPM) and IDLE (LPM), the regulator also supports RETENTION and AUTO_RM which are currently unselectable by the driver. Merge series from patrice.chotard@foss.st.com <patrice.chotard@foss.st.com>: The goal of this series is to allow to use QSPI bus as a 8 lines communication channel for specific purpose. The QSPI block offers the possibility to communicate with 2 flashes in parrallel using the dual flash mode, 8 data lines are then used. Usage of cs-gpios populated and spi-tx-bus-width / spi-rx-bus-width both set to 8, is needed to enable dual flash mode. The addition of the legacy transfer_one_message() spi callback is also needed as currently the stm32-qspi driver only supports spi_controller_mem_ops API.

The initialization of ACPI device objects is split between acpi_init_device_object() and __acpi_device_add() that initializes the dev field in struct acpi_device. The "release" function pointer is passed to __acpi_device_add() for this reason. However, that split is artificial and all of the initialization can be carried out by acpi_init_device_object(), so rearrange the code to that end. In particular, make acpi_init_device_object() take the "release" pointer as an argument, along with the "type" which is related to it, instead of __acpi_device_add().
