2006-02-07	[PATCH] powerpc: Always panic if lmb_alloc() fails	Michael Ellerman	1	-0/+2
	Currently most callers of lmb_alloc() don't check if it worked or not, if it ever does weird bad things will probably happen. The few callers who do check just panic or BUG_ON. So make lmb_alloc() panic internally, to catch bugs at the source. The few callers who did check the result no longer need to. The only caller that did anything interesting with the return result was careful_allocation(). For it we create __lmb_alloc_base() which _doesn't_ panic automatically, a little messy, but passable. 2006-01-09	[PATCH] powerpc: sanitize header files for user space includes	Arnd Bergmann	1	-0/+2
	include/asm-ppc/ had #ifdef __KERNEL__ in all header files that are not meant for use by user space, include/asm-powerpc does not have this yet. This patch gets us a lot closer there. There are a few cases where I was not sure, so I left them out. I have verified that no CONFIG_* symbols are used outside of __KERNEL__ any more and that there are no obvious compile errors when including any of the headers in user space libraries. 2005-10-06	powerpc: Merge in the ppc64 version of the prom code.	Paul Mackerras	1	-0/+81
	This brings in the ppc64 version of prom_init.c, prom.c and btext.c and makes them work for ppc32. This also brings in the new calling convention, where the first entry to the kernel (with r5 != 0) goes to the prom_init code, which then restarts from the beginning (with r5 == 0) after it has done its stuff.
