2014-06-03mfd: twl6040: Optional clk32k clock handlingPeter Ujfalusi1-0/+2
In certain boards the source for the clk32k clock can be gated. In these boards the clk32k clock can be provided to the driver and it is going to be enabled/disabled when it is needed. 2014-06-03mfd: twl6040: Select i2c fast mode as default with regmap patchPeter Ujfalusi1-0/+1
All boards using twl6040 configures the i2c bus to 400KHz. While twl6040's defaults to normal mode (100KHz). So far twl6040 has no problem with i2c communication in this configuration it is safer to select fast i2c mode. TWL6040 is used only with OMAP4/5 SoCs and they can only boot in in DT mode. The support for pdata/legacy boot can be removed. Add TODO comment to the header file that all pdata struct can be removed in the next merge window (after the sub driver updates are in). Both Headset DAC need to be turned on/off at the same time before any of the output drivers are enabled (HS Left/Right, Earpiece). The vibra control register will be used from the ASoC codec driver as well. In order to avoid latency issues caused by I2C read access, cache the two control register within the core driver, so we do not need to reach out to the chip to read it back. There is no need to write to the vio registers at probe time, since most them either read only, or shared with MFD or not used. On the other hand it is a good idea to updated the ASICREV register in the cache at this time. After power up we need to restore some registers. Clean up the list to contain only the registers we are going to restore. 2011-07-04mfd: twl6040: Add initial supportMisael Lopez Cruz1-0/+255
TWL6040 IC provides analog high-end audio codec functions for handset applications. It contains several audio analog inputs and outputs as well as vibrator support. It's connected to the host processor via PDM interface for audio data communication. The audio modules are controlled by internal registers that can be accessed by I2C and PDM interface. TWL6040 MFD will be registered as a child of TWL-CORE, and will have two children of its own: twl6040-codec and twl6040-vibra. This driver is based on TWL4030 and WM8350 MFD drivers.
