2020-01-27qed: Debug feature: ilt and mdumpMichal Kalderon1-0/+1
Part of the FW drop includes new debug capabilities implemented in the qed_debug file. This patch dumps additional information during ethtool -d for better debugging. The data dumped is the ilt (internal logical table) and information gathered by the management firmware incase there was a crash and driver was not able to extract the information (mdump). 2020-01-27qed: Add abstraction for different hsi values per chipMichal Kalderon1-2/+2
The number of BTB blocks was modified to be different between the two chip flavors supported (BB/K2) as a result, this lead to a re-write of selecting the default hsi value based on the chip. This patch creates a lookup table for hsi values per chip rather than ask again and again for every value. 2020-01-27qed: FW 8.42.2.0 Additional ll2 typeMichal Kalderon3-3/+23
LL2 queues were a limited resource due to FW constraints. This FW introduced a new resource which is a context based ll2 queue (memory on host). The additional ll2 queues are required for RDMA SRIOV. The code refers to the previous ll2 queues as ram-based or legacy, and the new queues as ctx-based. This change decreased the "legacy" ram-based queues therefore the first ll2 queue used for iWARP was converted to the ctx-based ll2 queue. This feature also exposed a bug in the DIRECT_REG_WR64 macro implementation which didn't have an effect in other use cases. The patch adds driver interface for reading the config attributes from user provided buffer, and updates these values on nvm config flash partition. This is basically an expansion of our existing ethtool -f implementation. The management FW has exposed an additional method of configuring some of the nvram options, and this makes use of that. This implementation will come into use when newer FW files which contain configuration directives employing this API will be provided to ethtool -f. mmiowb() is now implied by spin_unlock() on architectures that require it, so there is no reason to call it from driver code. This patch was generated using coccinelle: @mmiowb@ @@ - mmiowb(); and invoked as: $ for d in drivers include/linux/qed sound; do \ spatch --include-headers --sp-file mmiowb.cocci --dir $d --in-place; done NOTE: mmiowb() has only ever guaranteed ordering in conjunction with spin_unlock(). However, pairing each mmiowb() removal in this patch with the corresponding call to spin_unlock() is not at all trivial, so there is a small chance that this change may regress any drivers incorrectly relying on mmiowb() to order MMIO writes between CPUs using lock-free synchronisation. If you've ended up bisecting to this commit, you can reintroduce the mmiowb() calls using wmb() instead, which should restore the old behaviour on all architectures other than some esoteric ia64 systems. Turns out that QED_ROCE_LL2_TX_DEST_NW and QED_ROCE_LL2_TX_DEST_LB are only used once in the whole tree and QED_ROCE_LL2_TX_DEST_MAX is used nowhere. Currently, driver supports flow classification to PF receive queues based on TCP/UDP 4 tuples [src_ip, dst_ip, src_port, dst_port] only. This patch enables to configure different flow profiles [For example - only UDP dest port or src_ip based] on the adapter so that classification can be done according to just those fields as well. Although, at a time just one type of flow configuration is supported due to limited number of flow profiles available on the device. `mf_mode' field indicates the multi-partitioning mode the device is configured to. This method doesn't scale very well, adding a new MF mode requires going over all the existing conditions, and deciding whether those are needed for the new mode or not. The patch defines a set of bit-fields for modes which are derived according to the mode info shared by the MFW and all the configuration would be made according to those. To add a new mode, there would be a single place where we'll need to go and choose which bits apply and which don't. There may be a need for VF driver to request PF to explicitly update its bulletin with a MAC address. e.g. When user assigns a MAC address to VF while VF is still down, and PF's bulletin board contains different MAC address, in this case, when VF's interface is brought up, it gets loaded with MAC address from bulletin board which is not desirable. To handle this corner case, we need a new TLV to request PF to update its bulletin board with suggested MAC. This request will be honored only for trusted VFs.
