2017-11-04USB: add SPDX identifiers to all remaining files in drivers/usb/Greg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+1
It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to audit the kernel tree for correct licenses. Update the drivers/usb/ and include/linux/usb* files with the correct SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This work is based on a script and data from Thomas Gleixner, Philippe Ombredanne, and Kate Stewart. 2012-05-12usb/net: rndis: break out <linux/rndis.h> definesLinus Walleij1-64/+2
As a first step to consolidate the RNDIS implementations, break out a common file with all the #defines and move it to <linux/rndis.h>. This also deletes the immediate duplicated defines in the <linux/rndis.h> file that yields a lot of compilation warnings. 2012-05-12usb/net: rndis: inline the cpu_to_le32() macroLinus Walleij1-42/+42
The header file <linux/usb/rndis_host.h> used a number of #defines that included the cpu_to_le32() macro to assure the result will be in LE endianness. Inlining this into the code instead of using it in the code definitions yields consolidation opportunities later on as you will see in the following patches. The individual drivers also used local defines - all are switched over to the pattern of doing the conversion at the call sites instead. 2011-04-13rndis_host: Poll status before control channel where necessaryBen Hutchings1-0/+2
Some RNDIS devices don't respond on the control channel until polled on the status channel. In particular, this was reported to be the case for the 2Wire HomePortal 1000SW and for some Windows Mobile devices. This is roughly based on a patch by John Carr <john.carr@unrouted.co.uk> which is currently applied by Mandriva. 2010-05-20USB: include/usb/*.h checkpatch cleanupGreg Kroah-Hartman1-33/+33
Lots of minor formatting cleanups in includes/usb/ to make checkpatch happier. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2009-08-04rndis_wlan: handle 802.11 indications from deviceJussi Kivilinna1-6/+7
Add handling for 802.11 specific rndis indications. Signed-off-by: Jussi Kivilinna <jussi.kivilinna@mbnet.fi> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
2009-02-14rndis: remove private wrapper of __constant_cpu_to_le32Harvey Harrison1-44/+41
Use cpu_to_le32 directly as it handles constant folding now, replace direct uses of __constant_cpu_to_{endian} as well. Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Acked-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-06-28rndis_host: pass buffer length to rndis_commandJussi Kivilinna1-1/+2
Pass buffer length to rndis_command so that rndis_command can read full response buffer from device instead of max CONTROL_BUFFER_SIZE bytes. Signed-off-by: Jussi Kivilinna <jussi.kivilinna@mbnet.fi> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jgarzik@redhat.com>
2008-04-24USB: Standardize inclusion protection and add where missing.Robert P. J. Day1-6/+3
For the header files in include/linux/usb, add missing multiple inclusion protection and standardize what's already there. The apparent standards: * macro name of __LINUX_USB_headerfile_H * inclusion protection placed after leading comment block * macro name added as a comment on the final #endif * any obvious trivial whitespace cleanup associated with the above Signed-off-by: Robert P. 2008-01-31Move usbnet.h and rndis_host.h to include/linux/usbJussi Kivilinna1-0/+274
Move headers usbnet.h and rndis_host.h to include/linux/usb and fix includes for drivers/net/usb modules. Headers are moved because rndis_wlan will be outside drivers/net/usb in drivers/net/wireless and yet need these headers.
