2012-01-09mfd: Add platform data and devices for MAX8997 LED controlDonggeun Kim1-1/+24
MAX8997 device does not support LED control function of it. To enable MAX8997-LED driver, platform data and devices for LED are updated. Signed-off-by: Donggeun Kim <dg77.kim@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: MyungJoo Ham <myungjoo.ham@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2012-01-09mfd: Add power off functionality to TWLIgor Grinberg1-0/+2
TWL family of PMICs, used in master mode, have a power off functionality. The resulting power off sequence shuts down all the SoC supplies, LDOs, etc. The sequence is described in the datasheets chapter "Power-Off Sequence". Note, that board must be wired correctly for the power off to work as expected. Signed-off-by: Igor Grinberg <grinberg@compulab.co.il> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2012-01-09mfd: Unify abx500 headers in mfd/abx500Linus Walleij5-0/+0
This moves all the header files related to the abx500 family into a common include directory below mfd. From now on we place any subchip header in that directory. Headers previously in e.g. <linux/mfd/ab8500/gpio.h> get prefixed and are now e.g. <linux/mfd/abx500/ab8500-gpio.h>. The top-level abstract interface remains in <linux/mfd/abx500.h>. 2012-01-09mfd: Add missing mutex.h inclusion to WM8994 core.hMark Brown1-0/+1
struct wm8994 includes a mutex so we need to include mutex.h before we declare it. All current users rely on this being done implicitly. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2012-01-09mfd: Constify WM8994 regulator_init_dataMark Brown1-1/+1

2012-01-09mfd: Fixed unconditional reset of the mc13xxx ADC reading enable bitsRobin van der Gracht1-0/+8
When the ADC is being prepared for a single or multiple channel reading, the adc0 register is reconfigured without taking the lithium cell, charge current and battery current reading enable bits into account. Which results in clearing the bits. Signed-off-by: Robin van der Gracht <robin@protonic.nl> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2012-01-09mfd: Add platform data for MAX8997 MUIC driverDonggeun Kim1-1/+57

2012-01-09mfd: Add support for irq over gpio pin to stmpeViresh Kumar1-0/+7

2012-01-08hid-input/battery: remove battery_valJeremy Fitzhardinge1-1/+0

2012-01-08hid-input/battery: add quirks for batteryJeremy Fitzhardinge1-0/+2

2012-01-08hid-input: add support for HID devices reporting Battery StrengthDaniel Nicoletti1-0/+1
I've sent an email earlier asking for help with a GetFeature code, and now I have a second patch on top of Jeremy's to provide the battery functionality for devices that support reporting it. If I understood correctly when talking to Jeremy he said his device never actually reported the status as an input event (sorry if I didn't understand it correctly), and after reading HID specs I believe it's really because it was meant to be probed, I have an Apple Keyboard and Magic Trackpad both bluetooth batteries operated, so using PacketLogger I saw that Mac OSX always ask the battery status using the so called GetFeature. What my patch does is basically: - store the report id that matches the battery_strength - setup the battery if 0x6.0x20 is found, even if that is reported as a feature (as it was meant to be but only the MagicTrackpad does) - when upower or someone access /sys/class/power_supply/hid-*/capacity it will probe the device and return it's status. It works great for both devices, but I have two concerns: - the report_features function has a duplicated code - it would be nice if it was possible for specific drivers to provide their own probe as there might be some strange devices... (but maybe it's already possible) I've talked to the upower dev and he fixed it to be able to show the right percentage. Here how the uevent file (in /sys/class/power_supply/hid-*/) looks like: POWER_SUPPLY_NAME=hid-00:22:41:D9:18:E7-battery POWER_SUPPLY_PRESENT=1 POWER_SUPPLY_ONLINE=1 POWER_SUPPLY_CAPACITY=66 POWER_SUPPLY_MODEL_NAME=MacAdmin’s keyboard POWER_SUPPLY_STATUS=Discharging POWER_SUPPLY_NAME=hid-70:CD:60:F5:FF:3F-battery POWER_SUPPLY_PRESENT=1 POWER_SUPPLY_ONLINE=1 POWER_SUPPLY_CAPACITY=62 POWER_SUPPLY_MODEL_NAME=nexx’s Trackpad POWER_SUPPLY_STATUS=Discharging Signed-off-by: Daniel Nicoletti <dantti12@gmail.com>

2012-01-07tracing: Fix compile error when static ftrace is enabledSteven Rostedt1-0/+1

2012-01-07NFSv4: Save the owner/group name string when doing openTrond Myklebust2-5/+20
...so that we can do the uid/gid mapping outside the asynchronous RPC context. This fixes a bug in the current NFSv4 atomic open code where the client isn't able to determine what the true uid/gid fields of the file are, (because the asynchronous nature of the OPEN call denies it the ability to do an upcall) and so fills them with default values, marking the inode as needing revalidation. Unfortunately, in some cases, the VFS will do some additional sanity checks on the file, and may override the server's decision to allow the open because it sees the wrong owner/group fields. 2012-01-06vfs: count unlinked inodesMiklos Szeredi1-54/+7
Add a new counter to the superblock that keeps track of unlinked but not yet deleted inodes. Do not WARN_ON if set_nlink is called with zero count, just do a ratelimited printk. This happens on xfs and probably other filesystems after an unclean shutdown when the filesystem reads inodes which already have zero i_nlink. Reported by Christoph Hellwig. 2012-01-06vfs: protect remounting superblock read-onlyMiklos Szeredi1-0/+3
Currently remouting superblock read-only is racy in a major way. With the per mount read-only infrastructure it is now possible to prevent most races, which this patch attempts. Before starting the remount read-only, iterate through all mounts belonging to the superblock and if none of them have any pending writes, set sb->s_readonly_remount. This indicates that remount is in progress and no further write requests are allowed. If the remount succeeds set MS_RDONLY and reset s_readonly_remount. If the remounting is unsuccessful just reset s_readonly_remount. This can result in transient EROFS errors, despite the fact the remount failed. Unfortunately hodling off writes is difficult as remount itself may touch the filesystem (e.g. through load_nls()) which would deadlock. A later patch deals with delayed writes due to nlink going to zero.
