2018-07-27media: uvcvideo: Send a control event when a Control Change interrupt arrivesGuennadi Liakhovetski1-0/+2
UVC defines a method of handling asynchronous controls, which sends a USB packet over the interrupt pipe. This patch implements support for such packets by sending a control event to the user. Since this can involve USB traffic and, therefore, scheduling, this has to be done in a work queue. 2018-01-04media: uvcvideo: Add a metadata device nodeGuennadi Liakhovetski1-0/+26
Some UVC video cameras contain metadata in their payload headers. This patch extracts that data, adding more clock synchronisation information, on both bulk and isochronous endpoints and makes it available to the user space on a separate video node, using the V4L2_CAP_META_CAPTURE capability and the V4L2_BUF_TYPE_META_CAPTURE buffer queue type. By default, only the V4L2_META_FMT_UVC pixel format is available from those nodes. However, cameras can be added to the device ID table to additionally specify their own metadata format, in which case that format will also become available from the metadata node. 2017-11-02License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with no licenseGreg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+1
Many user space API headers are missing licensing information, which makes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license. By default are files without license information under the default license of the kernel, which is GPLV2. Marking them GPLV2 would exclude them from being included in non GPLV2 code, which is obviously not intended. The user space API headers fall under the syscall exception which is in the kernels COPYING file: NOTE! This copyright does *not* cover user programs that use kernel services by normal system calls - this is merely considered normal use of the kernel, and does *not* fall under the heading of "derived work". otherwise syscall usage would not be possible. Update the files which contain no license information with an SPDX license identifier. The chosen identifier is 'GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note' which is the officially assigned identifier for the Linux syscall exception. SPDX license identifiers are a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. See the previous patch in this series for the methodology of how this patch was researched.
