The display subsystem (DSS) needs the child outputs disabled for reset.
In order to prepare to probe DSS without legacy platform data, let's
implement sysc_pre_reset_quirk_dss() similar to what we have for the
platform data with omap_dss_reset().
Note that we cannot directly use the old omap_dss_reset() without
platform data callbacks and updating omap_dss_reset() to understand
struct device. And we will be dropping omap_dss_reset() anyways when
all the SoCs are probing with device tree, so let's not mess with the
legacy code at all.

The RTC modules on am3 and am4 need quirk handling to unlock and lock
them for reset so let's add the quirk handling based on what we already
have for legacy platform data. In later patches we will simply drop the
RTC related platform data and the old quirk handling.

We need to know SoC type and features for cases where the same SoC
may be installed in various versions on the same board and would need
a separate dts file otherwise for the different variants.
For example, am3703 is pin compatible with omap3630, but has sgx and
iva accelerators disabled. We must not try to access the sgx or iva
module registers on am3703, and need to set the unavailable devices
disabled early.
Let's also detect omap3430 as that is needed for display subsystem
(DSS) reset later on, and GP vs EMU or HS devices. Further SoC
specific disabled device detection can be added as needed, such as
dra71x vs dra76x rtc and usb4.

ASoC core supports multiple codec DAIs but supports only a CPU DAI.
To support multiple cpu DAIs, add cpu_dai and num_cpu_dai in
snd_soc_dai_link and snd_soc_pcm_runtime structures similar to
support for codec_dai. This is intended as a preparatory patch to
eventually support the unification of the Codec and CPU DAI.
Inline with multiple codec DAI approach, add support to allocate,
init, bind and probe multiple cpu_dai on init if driver specifies
that. Also add support to loop over multiple cpu_dai during
suspend and resume.
This is intended as a preparatory patch to eventually unify the CPU
and Codec DAI into DAI components.

Pull EFI updates for v5.7 from Ard Biesheuvel:
This time, the set of changes for the EFI subsystem is much larger than
usual. The main reasons are:
- Get things cleaned up before EFI support for RISC-V arrives, which will
increase the size of the validation matrix, and therefore the threshold to
making drastic changes,
- After years of defunct maintainership, the GRUB project has finally started
to consider changes from the distros regarding UEFI boot, some of which are
highly specific to the way x86 does UEFI secure boot and measured boot,
based on knowledge of both shim internals and the layout of bootparams and
the x86 setup header. Having this maintenance burden on other architectures
(which don't need shim in the first place) is hard to justify, so instead,
we are introducing a generic Linux/UEFI boot protocol.
Summary of changes:
- Boot time GDT handling changes (Arvind)
- Simplify handling of EFI properties table on arm64
- Generic EFI stub cleanups, to improve command line handling, file I/O,
memory allocation, etc.
- Introduce a generic initrd loading method based on calling back into
the firmware, instead of relying on the x86 EFI handover protocol or
device tree.
- Introduce a mixed mode boot method that does not rely on the x86 EFI
handover protocol either, and could potentially be adopted by other
architectures (if another one ever surfaces where one execution mode
is a superset of another)
- Clean up the contents of struct efi, and move out everything that
doesn't need to be stored there.
- Incorporate support for UEFI spec v2.8A changes that permit firmware
implementations to return EFI_UNSUPPORTED from UEFI runtime services at
OS runtime, and expose a mask of which ones are supported or unsupported
via a configuration table.
- Various documentation updates and minor code cleanups (Heinrich)
- Partial fix for the lack of by-VA cache maintenance in the decompressor
on 32-bit ARM. Note that these patches were deliberately put at the
beginning so they can be used as a stable branch that will be shared with
a PR containing the complete fix, which I will send to the ARM tree.

Nothing in the kernel includes the external header
<linux/platform_data/leds-kirkwood-ns2.h> so just push the
contents into the ns2 leds driver. If someone wants to use
platform data or board files to describe this device they
should be able to do so using GPIO machine descriptors but
in any case device tree should be the way forward for these
systems in all cases I can think of, and the driver already
supports that.

ipset patches for nf
The first one is larger than usual, but the issue could not be solved simpler.
Also, it's a resend of the patch I submitted a few days ago, with a one line
fix on top of that: the size of the comment extensions was not taken into
account at reporting the full size of the set.
- Fix "INFO: rcu detected stall in hash_xxx" reports of syzbot
by introducing region locking and using workqueue instead of timer based
gc of timed out entries in hash types of sets in ipset.
- Fix the forceadd evaluation path - the bug was also uncovered by the syzbot.

Most bridge drivers create a DRM connector to model the connector at the
output of the bridge. This model is historical and has worked pretty
well so far, but causes several issues:
- It prevents supporting more complex display pipelines where DRM
connector operations are split over multiple components. For instance a
pipeline with a bridge connected to the DDC signals to read EDID data,
and another one connected to the HPD signal to detect connection and
disconnection, will not be possible to support through this model.
- It requires every bridge driver to implement similar connector
handling code, resulting in code duplication.
- It assumes that a bridge will either be wired to a connector or to
another bridge, but doesn't support bridges that can be used in both
positions very well (although there is some ad-hoc support for this in
the analogix_dp bridge driver).
In order to solve these issues, ownership of the connector needs to be
moved to the display controller driver.
To avoid code duplication in display controller drivers, add a new
helper to create and manage a DRM connector backed by a chain of
bridges. All connector operations are delegating to the appropriate
bridge in the chain.

In order to solve these issues, ownership of the connector should be
moved to the display controller driver (where it can be implemented
using helpers provided by the core).
Extend the bridge API to allow disabling connector creation in bridge
drivers as a first step towards the new model. The new flags argument to
the bridge .attach() operation allows instructing the bridge driver to
skip creating a connector. Unconditionally set the new flags argument to
0 for now to keep the existing behaviour, and modify all existing bridge
drivers to return an error when connector creation is not requested as
they don't support this feature yet.

To support implementation of DRM connectors on top of DRM bridges
instead of by bridges, the drm_bridge needs to expose new operations and
data:
- Output detection, hot-plug notification, mode retrieval and EDID
retrieval operations
- Bitmask of supported operations
- Bridge output type
- I2C adapter for DDC access
Add and document these.
Three new bridge helper functions are also added to handle hot plug

The icmpv6_send function has long had a static inline implementation
with an empty body for CONFIG_IPV6=n, so that code calling it doesn't
need to be ifdef'd. The new icmpv6_ndo_send function, which is intended
for drivers as a drop-in replacement with an identical function
signature, should follow the same pattern. Without this patch, drivers
that used to work with CONFIG_IPV6=n now result in a linker error.

KASAN is reporting that __blk_add_trace() has a use-after-free issue
when accessing q->blk_trace. Indeed the switching of block tracing (and
thus eventual freeing of q->blk_trace) is completely unsynchronized with
the currently running tracing and thus it can happen that the blk_trace
structure is being freed just while __blk_add_trace() works on it.
Protect accesses to q->blk_trace by RCU during tracing and make sure we
wait for the end of RCU grace period when shutting down tracing. Luckily
that is rare enough event that we can afford that. Note that postponing
the freeing of blk_trace to an RCU callback should better be avoided as
it could have unexpected user visible side-effects as debugfs files
would be still existing for a short while block tracing has been shut
down.

The places which need to prevent the execution of trace type BPF programs
to prevent deadlocks on the hash bucket lock do this open coded.
Provide two inline functions, bpf_disable/enable_instrumentation() to
replace these open coded protection constructs.
Use migrate_disable/enable() instead of preempt_disable/enable() right away
so this works on RT enabled kernels. On a !RT kernel migrate_disable /
enable() are mapped to preempt_disable/enable().
These helpers use this_cpu_inc/dec() instead of __this_cpu_inc/dec() on an
RT enabled kernel because migrate disabled regions are preemptible and
preemption might hit in the middle of a RMW operation which can lead to
inconsistent state.

All of these cases are strictly of the form:
preempt_disable();
BPF_PROG_RUN(...);
preempt_enable();
Replace this with bpf_prog_run_pin_on_cpu() which wraps BPF_PROG_RUN()
with:
migrate_disable();
BPF_PROG_RUN(...);
migrate_enable();
On non RT enabled kernels this maps to preempt_disable/enable() and on RT
enabled kernels this solely prevents migration, which is sufficient as
there is no requirement to prevent reentrancy to any BPF program from a
preempting task. The only requirement is that the program stays on the same
CPU.
Therefore, this is a trivially correct transformation.
The seccomp loop does not need protection over the loop. It only needs
protection per BPF filter program

As already discussed in the previous change which introduced
BPF_RUN_PROG_PIN_ON_CPU() BPF only requires to disable migration to
guarantee per CPUness.
If RT substitutes the preempt disable based migration protection then the
cant_sleep() check will obviously trigger as preemption is not disabled.
Replace it by cant_migrate() which maps to cant_sleep() on a non RT kernel
and will verify that migration is disabled on a full RT kernel.

BPF programs require to run on one CPU to completion as they use per CPU
storage, but according to Alexei they don't need reentrancy protection as
obviously BPF programs running in thread context can always be 'preempted'
by hard and soft interrupts and instrumentation and the same program can
run concurrently on a different CPU.
The currently used mechanism to ensure CPUness is to wrap the invocation
into a preempt_disable/enable() pair. Disabling preemption is also
disabling migration for a task.
preempt_disable/enable() is used because there is no explicit way to
reliably disable only migration.
Provide a separate macro to invoke a BPF program which can be used in
migrateable task context.
It wraps BPF_PROG_RUN() in a migrate_disable/enable() pair which maps on
non RT enabled kernels to preempt_disable/enable(). On RT enabled kernels
this merely disables migration. Both methods ensure that the invoked BPF
program runs on one CPU to completion.

It appears most ethernet drivers follow one of two main strategies
for mdio bus/phy management. A monolithic model where the net driver
itself creates, probes and uses the phy, and one where an external
mdio/phy driver instantiates the mdio bus/phy and the net driver
only attaches to a known phy. Usually in this latter model the phys
are discovered via DT relationships or simply phy name/address
hardcoding.
This is a shame because modern well behaved mdio buses are self
describing and can be probed. The mdio layer itself is fully capable
of this, yet there isn't a clean way for a standalone net driver
to attach and enumerate the discovered devices. This is because
outside of of_mdio_find_bus() there isn't a straightforward way
to acquire the mii_bus pointer.
So, lets add a mdio_find_bus which can return the mii_bus based
only on its name.

ASoC component open/close and snd_soc_component_module_get/put are called
independently for each component-substream pair, so the logic added in
commit dd03907bf129 ("ASoC: soc-pcm: call snd_soc_component_open/close()
once") was not sufficient and led to PCM playback and module unload errors.
Implement handling of failures directly in soc_pcm_components_open(),
so that any successfully opened components are closed upon error with
other components. This allows to clean up error handling in
soc_pcm_open() without adding more state tracking.

Special handling is needed in bareudp module for IP & MPLS as they
support more than one ethertypes.
MPLS has 2 ethertypes. 0x8847 for MPLS unicast and 0x8848 for MPLS multicast.
While decapsulating MPLS packet from UDP packet the tunnel destination IP
address is checked to determine the ethertype. The ethertype of the packet
will be set to 0x8848 if the tunnel destination IP address is a multicast
IP address. The ethertype of the packet will be set to 0x8847 if the
tunnel destination IP address is a unicast IP address.
IP has 2 ethertypes.0x0800 for IPV4 and 0x86dd for IPv6. The version
field of the IP header tunnelled will be checked to determine the ethertype.
This special handling to tunnel additional ethertypes will be disabled
by default and can be enabled using a flag called multiproto. This flag can
be used only with ethertypes 0x8847 and 0x0800.

dpcm_path_put() (A) is calling kfree(*list).
The freed list is created by dapm_widget_list_create() (B) which is called
from snd_soc_dapm_dai_get_connected_widgets() (C) which is called from
dpcm_path_get() (D).
(B) dapm_widget_list_create(**list, ...)
{
...
=> *list = kzalloc();
...
}
(C) snd_soc_dapm_dai_get_connected_widgets(..., **list, ...)
{
...
dapm_widget_list_create(list, ...);
...
}
(D) dpcm_path_get(..., **list)
{
...
snd_soc_dapm_dai_get_connected_widgets(..., list, ...);
...
}
(A) dpcm_path_put(**list)
{
=> kfree(*list);
}
This kind of unbalance code is very difficult to read/understand.
To avoid this issue, this patch adds each missing paired function
dapm_widget_list_free() for dapm_widget_list_create() (B), and
snd_soc_dapm_dai_free_widgets() for snd_soc_dapm_dai_get_connected_widgets() (C).
This patch uses these, and moves dpcm_path_put() next to dpcm_path_get().

DAI driver has playback/capture stream.
OTOH, we have SNDRV_PCM_STREAM_PLAYBACK/CAPTURE.
Because of this kind of implementation,
ALSA SoC needs to have many verbose code.
To solve this issue, this patch adds snd_soc_dai_get_pcm_stream() macro
to get playback/capture stream pointer from stream.

Rework the flushing of proc to use a list of directory inodes that
need to be flushed.
The list is kept on struct pid not on struct task_struct, as there is
a fixed connection between proc inodes and pids but at least for the
case of de_thread the pid of a task_struct changes.
This removes the dependency on proc_mnt which allows for different
mounts of proc having different mount options even in the same pid
namespace and this allows for the removal of proc_mnt which will
trivially the first mount of proc to honor it's mount options.
This flushing remains an optimization. The functions
pid_delete_dentry and pid_revalidate ensure that ordinary dcache
management will not attempt to use dentries past the point their
respective task has died. When unused the shrinker will
eventually be able to remove these dentries.
There is a case in de_thread where proc_flush_pid can be
called early for a given pid. Which winds up being
safe (if suboptimal) as this is just an optiimization.
Only pid directories are put on the list as the other
per pid files are children of those directories and
d_invalidate on the directory will get them as well.
So that the pid can be used during flushing it's reference count is
taken in release_task and dropped in proc_flush_pid. Further the call
of proc_flush_pid is moved after the tasklist_lock is released in
release_task so that it is certain that the pid has already been
unhashed when flushing it taking place. This removes a small race
where a dentry could recreated.
As struct pid is supposed to be small and I need a per pid lock
I reuse the only lock that currently exists in struct pid the
the wait_pidfd.lock.
The net result is that this adds all of this functionality
with just a little extra list management overhead and
a single extra pointer in struct pid.
v2: Initialize pid->inodes. I somehow failed to get that
initialization into the initial version of the patch. A boot
failure was reported by "kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com>", and
failure to initialize that pid->inodes matches all of the reported
symptoms.

We currently have the following devnode types:
enum vfl_devnode_type {
VFL_TYPE_GRABBER = 0,
VFL_TYPE_VBI,
VFL_TYPE_RADIO,
VFL_TYPE_SUBDEV,
VFL_TYPE_SDR,
VFL_TYPE_TOUCH,
VFL_TYPE_MAX /* Shall be the last one */
};
They all make sense, except for the first: GRABBER really refers to /dev/videoX
devices, which can be capture, output or m2m, so 'grabber' doesn't even refer to
their function anymore.
Let's call a spade a spade and rename this to VFL_TYPE_VIDEO.
