The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language
extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare
variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2],
introduced in C99:
struct foo {
int stuff;
struct boo array[];
};
By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning
in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which
will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being
inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on.
Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by
this change:
"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator
may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of
zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]
This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle.

On RX side create a restore table in OFFLOADS namespace.
This table will match on all values for reg_c0 we will use,
and set it to the flow_tag. This flow tag can then be read on the CQE.
As there is no copy action from reg c0 to flow tag, instead we have to
set the flow tag explictily. We add an API so callers can add all the used
reg_c0 values (tags) and for each of those we add a restore rule.
This will be used in a following patch to save the miss chain mapping
tag on reg_c0 and from it restore the tc chain on the skb.

Multi chain support requires the miss path to continue the processing
from the last chain id, and for that we need to save the chain
miss tag (a mapping for 32bit chain id) on reg_c0 which will
come in a next patch.
Currently reg_c0 is exclusively used to store the source port
metadata, giving it 32bit, it is created from 16bits of vcha_id,
and 16bits of vport number.
We will move this source port metadata to upper 16bits, and leave the
lower bits for the chain miss tag. We compress the reg_c0 source port
metadata to 16bits by taking 8 bits from vhca_id, and 8bits from
the vport number.
Since we compress the vport number to 8bits statically, and leave two
top ids for special PF/ECPF numbers, we will only support a max of 254
vports with this strategy.

TC multi chain configuration can cause offloaded tc chains to miss in
hardware after jumping to some chain. In such cases the software should
continue from the chain that missed in hardware, as the hardware may
have manipulated the packet and updated some counters.
Currently a single tcf classification function serves both ingress and
egress. However, multi chain miss processing (get tc skb extension on
hw miss, set tc skb extension on tc miss) should happen only on
ingress.
Refactor the code to use ingress classification function, and move setting
the tc skb extension from general classification to it, as a prestep
for supporting the hw miss scenario.

Branch records are a CPU feature that can be configured to record
certain branches that are taken during code execution. This data is
particularly interesting for profile guided optimizations. perf has had
branch record support for a while but the data collection can be a bit
coarse grained.
We (Facebook) have seen in experiments that associating metadata with
branch records can improve results (after postprocessing). We generally
use bpf_probe_read_*() to get metadata out of userspace. That's why bpf
support for branch records is useful.
Aside from this particular use case, having branch data available to bpf
progs can be useful to get stack traces out of userspace applications
that omit frame pointers.

Several network drivers for chips that support TSO6 share the same code
for preparing the TCP header, so let's factor it out to a helper.
A difference is that some drivers reset the payload_len whilst others
don't do this. This value is overwritten by TSO anyway, therefore
the new helper resets it in general.

There is no need to clear psock->sk_proto when restoring socket protocol
callbacks in sk->sk_prot. The psock is about to get detached from the sock
and eventually destroyed. At worst we will restore the protocol callbacks
and the write callback twice.
This makes reasoning about psock state easier. Once psock is initialized,
we can count on psock->sk_proto always being set.

There is a need to use RT5682 as DAI clock master for other codecs
within a platform, which means that the DAI clocks are required to
remain, regardless of whether the RT5682 is actually running
playback/capture.
The RT5682 CCF basic functions are implemented almost by the existing
internal functions and asoc apis. It needs a clk provider (rt5682 mclk)
to generate the bclk and wclk outputs.
The RT5682 CCF supports and restricts as below:
1. Fmt of DAI-AIF1 must be configured to master before using CCF.
2. Only accept a 48MHz clk as the clk provider.
3. Only provide a 48kHz wclk and a set of multiples of wclk as bclk.
There are some temporary limitations in this patch until a better
implementation.

Add all required types and methods to support each and every request
that driver could sent to firmware. Probe is one of SOF firmware
features which allows for data extraction and injection directly from
or to DMA stream.
Exposes eight IPCs:
- addition and removal of injection DMAs
- addition and removal of probe points
- info retrieval of injection DMAs and probe points
- probe initialization and cleanup

The DEV_DAX_KMEM facility is a generic mechanism to allow device-dax
instances, fronting performance-differentiated-memory like pmem, to be
added to the System RAM pool. The NUMA node for that hot-added memory is
derived from the device-dax instance's 'target_node' attribute.
Recall that the 'target_node' is the ACPI-PXM-to-node translation for
memory when it comes online whereas the 'numa_node' attribute of the
device represents the closest online cpu node.
Presently useful target_node information from the ACPI SRAT is discarded
with the expectation that "Reserved" memory will never be onlined. Now,
DEV_DAX_KMEM violates that assumption, there is a need to retain the
translation. Move, rather than discard, numa_memblk data to a secondary
array that memory_add_physaddr_to_target_node() may consider at a later
point in time.

The performance of bpf_redirect() is now roughly the same as that of
bpf_redirect_map(). However, David Ahern pointed out that the header file
has not been updated to reflect this, and still says that a significant
performance increase is possible when using bpf_redirect_map(). Remove this
text from the bpf_redirect_map() description, and reword the description in
bpf_redirect() slightly. Also fix the 'Return' section of the
bpf_redirect_map() documentation.

CON_CONSDEV flag was historically used to put/keep the preferred console
first in console_drivers list. Where the preferred console is the last
on the command line.
The ordering is important only when opening /dev/console:
+ tty_kopen()
+ tty_lookup_driver()
+ console_device()
The flag was originally an implementation detail. But it was later
made accessible from userspace via /proc/consoles. It was used,
for example, by the tool "showconsole" to show the real tty
accessible via /dev/console, see
https://github.com/bitstreamout/showconsole
Now, the current code sets CON_CONSDEV only for the preferred
console or when a fallback console is added. The flag is not
set when the preferred console is defined on the command line
but it is not registered from some reasons.
Simple solution is to set CON_CONSDEV flag for the first
registered console. It will work most of the time because:
+ Most real consoles have console->device defined.
+ Boot consoles are removed in printk_late_init().
+ unregister_console() moves CON_CONSDEV flag to the next
console.
Clean solution would require checking con->device when the
preferred console is registered and in unregister_console().
Conclusion:
Use the simple solution for now. It is better than the current
state and good enough.
The clean solution is not worth it. It would complicate the already
complicated code without too much gain. Instead the code would deserve
a complete rewrite.

tc flower rules that are based on src or dst port blocking are sometimes
ineffective due to uninitialized stack data. __skb_flow_dissect() extracts
ports from the skb for tc flower to match against. However, the port
dissection is not done when when the FLOW_DIS_IS_FRAGMENT bit is set in
key_control->flags. All callers of __skb_flow_dissect(), zero-out the
key_control field except for fl_classify() as used by the flower
classifier. Thus, the FLOW_DIS_IS_FRAGMENT may be set on entry to
__skb_flow_dissect(), since key_control is allocated on the stack
and may not be initialized.
Since key_basic and key_control are present for all flow keys, let's
make sure they are initialized.
