2007-04-25[NET]: cleanup extra semicolonsStephen Hemminger1-1/+2
Spring cleaning time... There seems to be a lot of places in the network code that have extra bogus semicolons after conditionals. Most commonly is a bogus semicolon after: switch() { } Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2007-04-25[SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_reset_mac_header(skb)Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-1/+1
For the common, open coded 'skb->mac.raw = skb->data' operation, so that we can later turn skb->mac.raw into a offset, reducing the size of struct sk_buff in 64bit land while possibly keeping it as a pointer on 32bit. This one touches just the most simple case, next will handle the slightly more "complex" cases. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2007-02-12[PATCH] mark struct file_operations const 7Arjan van de Ven1-1/+1
Many struct file_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential dirty data. In addition it'll catch accidental writes at compile time to these shared resources. 2005-08-18[TOKENRING]: Use interrupt-safe locking with rif_lock.Jay Vosburgh1-10/+12
Change operations on rif_lock from spin_{un}lock_bh to spin_{un}lock_irq{save,restore} equivalents. Some of the rif_lock critical sections are called from interrupt context via tr_type_trans->tr_add_rif_info. The TR NIC drivers call tr_type_trans from their packet receive handlers. 2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds1-0/+645
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
