2019-08-04batman-adv: BATMAN_V: introduce per hard-iface OGMv2 queuesLinus Lüssing1-0/+3
In preparation for the OGMv2 packet aggregation, hold OGMv2 packets for up to BATADV_MAX_AGGREGATION_MS milliseconds (100ms) on per hard-interface queues, before transmitting. This allows us to later squash multiple OGMs into a single frame and transmission for reduced overhead. 2019-05-25batman-adv: Use includes instead of fwdeclsSven Eckelmann1-2/+1
While it can be slightly beneficial for the build performance to use forward declarations instead of includes, the handling of them together with changes in the included headers makes it unnecessary complicated and fragile. Just replace them with actual includes since some parts (hwmon, ..) of the kernel even request avoidance of forward declarations and net/ is mostly not using them in *.c file. 2018-07-07batman-adv: Unify include guards styleSven Eckelmann1-3/+3
All other include guards in batman-adv use the style: * _NET_BATMAN_ADV_$(FILENAME)_ * uppercase only * "." & "-" replaced with "_" Use this also in the B.A.T.M.A.N. IV/V OGM implementation headers. 2017-12-15batman-adv: Add SPDX license identifier above copyright headerSven Eckelmann1-0/+1
The "Linux kernel licensing rules" require that each file has a SPDX license identifier as first line (and sometimes as second line). The FSFE REUSE practices [1] would also require the same tags but have no restrictions on the placement in the source file. Using the "Linux kernel licensing rules" is therefore also fulfilling the FSFE REUSE practices requirements at the same time. 2016-06-30batman-adv: Include main.h in bat_v_ogm.hSven Eckelmann1-2/+2
main.h includes statements which (re)define preprocessor variables which influence the compiled code. This makes it necessary to include it in all files. For example, it redefines pr_fmt used to the module as prefix for each pr_* message. 2016-02-29batman-adv: OGMv2 - add basic infrastructureAntonio Quartulli1-0/+32
This is the initial implementation of the new OGM protocol (version 2). It has been designed to work on top of the newly added ELP. In the previous version the OGM protocol was used to both measure link qualities and flood the network with the metric information. In this version the protocol is in charge of the latter task only, leaving the former to ELP. This means being able to decouple the interval used by the neighbor discovery from the OGM broadcasting, which revealed to be costly in dense networks and needed to be relaxed so leading to a less responsive routing protocol.
