2017-12-15batman-adv: Add kernel-doc to functions in headersSven Eckelmann1-1/+34
Externally visible functions should be documented with kernel-doc. This usually refers to non-static functions but also static inline files in headers are visible in other files and should therefore be documented. 2017-12-15batman-adv: Use inline kernel-doc for enum/structSven Eckelmann1-9/+17
The inline kernel-doc comments make it easier to keep changes to the struct/enum synchronized with the documentation of the it. And it makes it easier for larger structures like struct batadv_priv to read the documentation inside the code. 2017-12-15batman-adv: Add SPDX license identifier above copyright headerSven Eckelmann1-0/+1
The "Linux kernel licensing rules" require that each file has a SPDX license identifier as first line (and sometimes as second line). The FSFE REUSE practices [1] would also require the same tags but have no restrictions on the placement in the source file. Using the "Linux kernel licensing rules" is therefore also fulfilling the FSFE REUSE practices requirements at the same time. 2017-03-16batman-adv: Fix possible side-effects in _batadv_dbgSven Eckelmann1-2/+3
An argument of a macro should not be evaluated multiple times. Otherwise embedded operations in these arguments will be executed multiple times. Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org> Signed-off-by: Simon Wunderlich <sw@simonwunderlich.de>

2016-10-30Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/netDavid S. Miller1-1/+1
Mostly simple overlapping changes. For example, David Ahern's adjacency list revamp in 'net-next' conflicted with an adjacency list traversal bug fix in 'net'. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2016-10-19batman-adv: Avoid precedence issues in macrosSven Eckelmann1-6/+6
It must be avoided that arguments to a macro are evaluated ungrouped (which enforces normal operator precendence). Otherwise the result of the macro is not well defined. Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org> Signed-off-by: Simon Wunderlich <sw@simonwunderlich.de>
2016-10-17batman-adv: Add BATADV_DBG_TP_METER to BATADV_DBG_ALLSven Eckelmann1-1/+1
The BATADV_DBG_ALL has to contain the bit of BATADV_DBG_TP_METER to really support all available debug messages. Fixes: 33a3bb4a3345 ("batman-adv: throughput meter implementation") Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org> Signed-off-by: Simon Wunderlich <sw@simonwunderlich.de>
2016-07-04batman-adv: throughput meter implementationAntonio Quartulli1-8/+10
The throughput meter module is a simple, kernel-space replacement for throughtput measurements tool like iperf and netperf. It is intended to approximate TCP behaviour. It is invoked through batctl: the protocol is connection oriented, with cumulative acknowledgment and a dynamic-size sliding window. The test *can* be interrupted by batctl. A receiver side timeout avoids unlimited waitings for sender packets: after one second of inactivity, the receiver abort the ongoing test. 2016-06-30batman-adv: Consolidate logging related functionsSven Eckelmann1-0/+109
There are several places in batman-adv which provide logging related functions. These should be grouped together in the log.* files to make them easier to find.
