2015-01-08ieee802154: 6lowpan: fix Makefile entryAlexander Aring1-1/+1
Since commit ea81ac2e7050798109356150ea16e71622a5c329 ("ieee802154: create 6lowpan sub-directory") we have a subdirectory for the ieee802154 6lowpan implementation. This commit also moves the Kconfig entry inside of net/ieee802154/6lowpan/ and forgot to rename the Makefile entry from obj-$(CONFIG_IEEE802154_6LOWPAN) to obj-y and handle the obj-$(CONFIG_IEEE802154_6LOWPAN) inside the created 6lowpan directory. This will occur that the ieee802154_6lowpan can't be build. Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2015-01-08ieee802154: create 6lowpan sub-directoryAlexander Aring1-2/+1
This patch creates an 6lowpan sub-directory inside ieee802154. Additional we move all ieee802154 6lowpan relevant files into this sub-directory instead of placing the 6lowpan related files inside ieee802154. 2015-01-03ieee802154: rename af_ieee802154.c to socket.cAlexander Aring1-1/+1
This patch renames the "af_ieee802154.c" to "socket.c". This is just a cleanup to have a short name for it which describes the implementationm stuff more human understandable. Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2015-01-03ieee802154: socket: put handling into one fileAlexander Aring1-1/+1
This patch puts all related socket handling into one file. This is just a cleanup to do all socket handling stuff inside of one implementation file. Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2015-01-03ieee802154: socket: change module nameAlexander Aring1-2/+2
This patch changes the module name of af_802154 to ieee802154_socket. Just for keeping the name convention according to the 6LoWPAN module ieee802154_6lowpan. Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2015-01-03ieee802154: handle socket functionality as moduleAlexander Aring1-1/+2
This patch makes the ieee802154 socket handling as module. Currently this is part of ieee802154 module. It pointed out that ieee802154 module has also two module_init/module_exit functions. One inside of core.c and the other in af_ieee802154.c. This patch will also solve this issue by handle the af_802154 as separate module. 2014-11-09ieee802154: add nl802154 frameworkAlexander Aring1-1/+1
This patch adds a basic nl802154 framework. Most of this code was grabbed from nl80211 framework. Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2014-10-28ieee802154: introduce sysfs fileAlexander Aring1-1/+1
This patch moves the sysfs handling in a own file. This is like wireless sysfs file handling. Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org>
2014-10-25ieee802154: move wpan-class.c to core.cAlexander Aring1-1/+1

2014-07-126lowpan: introduce new net/6lowpan directoryAlexander Aring1-3/+2
This patch moves generic code which is used by bluetooth and ieee802154 6lowpan to a new net/6lowpan directory. This directory contains generic 6LoWPAN code which is shared between bluetooth and ieee802154 MAC-Layer. This is the IPHC - "IPv6 Header Compression" format at the moment. Which is described by RFC 6282 [0]. The BLTE 6LoWPAN draft describes that the IPHC is the same format like IEEE 802.15.4, see [1]. Futuremore we can put more code into this directory which is shared between BLTE and IEEE 802.15.4 6LoWPAN like RFC 6775 or the routing protocol RPL RFC 6550. To avoid naming conflicts I renamed 6lowpan-y to ieee802154_6lowpan-y in net/ieee802154/Makefile. 2014-03-14ieee802154: add header structs with endiannes and operationsPhoebe Buckheister1-1/+2
This patch provides a set of structures to represent 802.15.4 MAC headers, and a set of operations to push/pull/peek these structs from skbs. We cannot simply pointer-cast the skb MAC header pointer to these structs, because 802.15.4 headers are wildly variable - depending on the first three bytes, virtually all other fields of the header may be present or not, and be present with different lengths. The new header creation/parsing routines also support 802.15.4 security headers, which are currently not supported by the mac802154 implementation of the protocol. 2014-03-14ieee802154: enforce consistent endianness in the 802.15.4 stackPhoebe Buckheister1-0/+2
Enable sparse warnings about endianness, replace the remaining fields regarding network operations without explicit endianness annotations with such that are annotated, and propagate this through the entire stack. Uses of ieee802154_addr_sa are not changed yet, this patch is only concerned with all other fields (such as address filters, operation parameters and the likes). 2014-02-286lowpan: handling 6lowpan fragmentation via inet_frag apiAlexander Aring1-1/+1
This patch drops the current way of 6lowpan fragmentation on receiving side and replace it with a implementation which use the inet_frag api. The old fragmentation handling has some race conditions and isn't rfc4944 compatible. Also adding support to match fragments on destination address, source address, tag value and datagram_size which is missing in the current implementation. 2014-02-286lowpan: move 6lowpan.c to 6lowpan_rtnl.cAlexander Aring1-0/+1
We have a 6lowpan.c file and 6lowpan.ko file. To avoid confusing we should move 6lowpan.c to 6lowpan_rtnl.c. Then we can support multiple source files for 6lowpan module. Signed-off-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-01-15net: move 6lowpan compression code to separate moduleDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-1/+2
IEEE 802.15.4 and Bluetooth networking stacks share 6lowpan compression code. Instead of introducing Makefile/Kconfig hacks, build this code as a separate module referenced from both ieee802154 and bluetooth modules. This fixes the following build error observed in some kernel configurations: net/built-in.o: In function `header_create': 6lowpan.c:(.text+0x166149): undefined reference to `lowpan_header_compress' net/built-in.o: In function `bt_6lowpan_recv': (.text+0x166b3c): undefined reference to `lowpan_process_data' Reported-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dmitry_eremin@mentor.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2013-12-116lowpan: Moving generic compression code into 6lowpan_iphc.cJukka Rissanen1-1/+1
Because the IEEE 802154 and Bluetooth share the IP header compression and uncompression code, the common code is moved to 6lowpan_iphc.c file. 2011-08-24IEEE802.15.4: 6LoWPAN basic supportAlexander Smirnov1-3/+5
This patch provides base support for transmission of IPv6 packets as well as the formation of IPv6 link-local addresses and statelessly autoconfigured addresses on top of IEEE 802.15.4 networks. For more information please look at the RFC4944 "Compression Format for IPv6 Datagrams in Low Power and Losst Networks (6LoWPAN). 2011-04-12ieee802154: Remove hacked CFLAGS in net/ieee802154/MakefileDavid S. Miller1-2/+0
It adds -Wall (which the kernel carefully controls already) and of all things -DDEBUG (which should be set by other means if desired, please we have dynamic-debug these days). Kill this noise. Reported-by: Dave Jones <davej@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-11-06ieee802154: add LIST_PHY command supportDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-1/+1

2009-11-06ieee802154: merge nl802154 and wpan-class in single moduleDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-2/+2
There is no real need to have ieee802154 interfaces separate into several small modules, as neither of them has it's own use. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com>
2009-08-19ieee802154: add a sysfs representation of WPAN master devicesDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-1/+1

2009-06-09net: add IEEE 802.15.4 socket family implementationSergey Lapin1-0/+4
Add support for communication over IEEE 802.15.4 networks. This implementation is neither certified nor complete, but aims to that goal. This commit contains only the socket interface for communication over IEEE 802.15.4 networks. One can either send RAW datagrams or use SOCK_DGRAM to encapsulate data inside normal IEEE 802.15.4 packets. Configuration interface, drivers and software MAC 802.15.4 implementation will follow. Initial implementation was done by Maxim Gorbachyov, Maxim Osipov and Pavel Smolensky as a research project at Siemens AG. Later the stack was heavily reworked to better suit the linux networking model, and is now maitained as an open project partially sponsored by Siemens.
