2006-06-17[SECMARK]: Add secmark support to conntrackJames Morris1-0/+12
Add a secmark field to IP and NF conntracks, so that security markings on packets can be copied to their associated connections, and also copied back to packets as required. This is similar to the network mark field currently used with conntrack, although it is intended for enforcement of security policy rather than network policy. 2006-06-17[NETFILTER]: amanda helper: convert to textsearch infrastructurePatrick McHardy1-0/+2
When a port number within a packet is replaced by a differently sized number only the packet is resized, but not the copy of the data. Following port numbers are rewritten based on their offsets within the copy, leading to packet corruption. Convert the amanda helper to the textsearch infrastructure to avoid the copy entirely. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2006-05-28[NETFILTER]: mark H.323 helper experimentalPatrick McHardy1-2/+2

2006-04-09[NETFILTER]: Fix IP_NF_CONNTRACK_NETLINK dependencyPatrick McHardy1-0/+1

2006-04-01[NETFILTER]: x_tables: unify IPv4/IPv6 multiport matchYasuyuki Kozakai1-10/+0
This unifies ipt_multiport and ip6t_multiport to xt_multiport. As a result, this addes support for inversion and port range match to IPv6 packets. Signed-off-by: Yasuyuki Kozakai <yasuyuki.kozakai@toshiba.co.jp> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2006-04-01[NETFILTER]: x_tables: unify IPv4/IPv6 esp matchYasuyuki Kozakai1-4/+4
This unifies ipt_esp and ip6t_esp to xt_esp. Please note that now a user program needs to specify IPPROTO_ESP as protocol to use esp match with IPv6. This means that ip6tables requires '-p esp' like iptables. Signed-off-by: Yasuyuki Kozakai <yasuyuki.kozakai@toshiba.co.jp> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2006-01-12[NETFILTER] x_tables: Abstraction layer for {ip,ip6,arp}_tablesHarald Welte1-248/+2
This monster-patch tries to do the best job for unifying the data structures and backend interfaces for the three evil clones ip_tables, ip6_tables and arp_tables. In an ideal world we would never have allowed this kind of copy+paste programming... but well, our world isn't (yet?) ideal. o introduce a new x_tables module o {ip,arp,ip6}_tables depend on this x_tables module o registration functions for tables, matches and targets are only wrappers around x_tables provided functions o all matches/targets that are used from ip_tables and ip6_tables are now implemented as xt_FOOBAR.c files and provide module aliases to ipt_FOOBAR and ip6t_FOOBAR o header files for xt_matches are in include/linux/netfilter/, include/linux/netfilter_{ipv4,ipv6} contains compatibility wrappers around the xt_FOOBAR.h headers Based on this patchset we're going to further unify the code, gradually getting rid of all the layer 3 specific assumptions. 2005-12-05[NETFILTER]: Mark ctnetlink as EXPERIMENTALPatrick McHardy1-4/+4
Should have been marked EXPERIMENTAL from the beginning, as the current bunch of fixes show. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2005-11-20[NETFILTER]: fixed dependencies between modules related with ip_conntrackYasuyuki Kozakai1-5/+5
- IP_NF_CONNTRACK_MARK is bool and depends on only IP_NF_CONNTRACK which is tristate. If a variable depends on IP_NF_CONNTRACK_MARK and doesn't care about IP_NF_CONNTRACK, it can be y. This must be avoided. - IP_NF_CT_ACCT has same problem. - IP_NF_TARGET_CLUSTERIP also depends on IP_NF_MANGLE. Signed-off-by: Yasuyuki Kozakai <yasuyuki.kozakai@toshiba.co.jp> Signed-off-by: Harald Welte <laforge@netfilter.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2005-11-09[NETFILTER]: Add nf_conntrack subsystem.Yasuyuki Kozakai1-10/+31
The existing connection tracking subsystem in netfilter can only handle ipv4. There were basically two choices present to add connection tracking support for ipv6. We could either duplicate all of the ipv4 connection tracking code into an ipv6 counterpart, or (the choice taken by these patches) we could design a generic layer that could handle both ipv4 and ipv6 and thus requiring only one sub-protocol (TCP, UDP, etc.) connection tracking helper module to be written. In fact nf_conntrack is capable of working with any layer 3 protocol. The existing ipv4 specific conntrack code could also not deal with the pecularities of doing connection tracking on ipv6, which is also cured here. For example, these issues include: 1) ICMPv6 handling, which is used for neighbour discovery in ipv6 thus some messages such as these should not participate in connection tracking since effectively they are like ARP messages 2) fragmentation must be handled differently in ipv6, because the simplistic "defrag, connection track and NAT, refrag" (which the existing ipv4 connection tracking does) approach simply isn't feasible in ipv6 3) ipv6 extension header parsing must occur at the correct spots before and after connection tracking decisions, and there were no provisions for this in the existing connection tracking design 4) ipv6 has no need for stateful NAT The ipv4 specific conntrack layer is kept around, until all of the ipv4 specific conntrack helpers are ported over to nf_conntrack and it is feature complete. Once that occurs, the old conntrack stuff will get placed into the feature-removal-schedule and we will fully kill it off 6 months later. 2005-10-10[NETFILTER] ipt_ULOG: Mark ipt_ULOG as OBSOLETEHarald Welte1-1/+6
Similar to nfnetlink_queue and ip_queue, we mark ipt_ULOG as obsolete. This should have been part of the original nfnetlink_log merge, but I somehow missed it. Signed-off-by: Harald Welte <laforge@netfilter.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2005-10-10[NETFILTER] PPTP helper: Add missing Kconfig dependencyHarald Welte1-0/+1

2005-09-24[NETFILTER]: Fix ip[6]t_NFQUEUE Kconfig dependencyHarald Welte1-0/+11
We have to introduce a separate Kconfig menu entry for the NFQUEUE targets. They cannot "just" depend on nfnetlink_queue, since nfnetlink_queue could be linked into the kernel, whereas iptables can be a module. Signed-off-by: Harald Welte <laforge@netfilter.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2005-09-19[NETFILTER]: Add new PPTP conntrack and NAT helperHarald Welte1-0/+22

2005-09-06[NETFILTER]: Fix CONNMARK Kconfig dependencyYasuyuki Kozakai1-0/+1
Connection mark tracking support is one of the feature in connection tracking, so IP_NF_CONNTRACK_MARK depends on IP_NF_CONNTRACK. Signed-off-by: Yasuyuki Kozakai <yasuyuki.kozakai@toshiba.co.jp> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Using it you can do things like packet classification on average packet size within a connection. Signed-off-by: Harald Welte <laforge@netfilter.org> Signed-off-by: David S.
