2017-08-02netfilter: constify nf_loginfo structuresJulia Lawall1-1/+1
The nf_loginfo structures are only passed as the seventh argument to nf_log_trace, which is declared as const or stored in a local const variable. Thus the nf_loginfo structures themselves can be const. Done with the help of Coccinelle. // <smpl> @r disable optional_qualifier@ identifier i; position p; @@ static struct nf_loginfo i@p = { ... }; @ok1@ identifier r.i; expression list[6] es; position p; @@ nf_log_trace(es,&i@p,...) @ok2@ identifier r.i; const struct nf_loginfo *e; position p; @@ e = &i@p @bad@ position p != {r.p,ok1.p,ok2.p}; identifier r.i; struct nf_loginfo e; @@ e@i@p @depends on !bad disable optional_qualifier@ identifier r.i; @@ static +const struct nf_loginfo i = { ... }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2017-02-27lib/vsprintf.c: remove %Z supportAlexey Dobriyan1-1/+1
Now that %z is standartised in C99 there is no reason to support %Z. Unlike %L it doesn't even make format strings smaller. Use BUILD_BUG_ON in a couple ATM drivers. In case anyone didn't notice lib/vsprintf.o is about half of SLUB which is in my opinion is quite an achievement. Hopefully this patch inspires someone else to trim vsprintf.c more. 2017-02-02netfilter: allow logging from non-init namespacesMichal Kubeček1-1/+1
Commit 69b34fb996b2 ("netfilter: xt_LOG: add net namespace support for xt_LOG") disabled logging packets using the LOG target from non-init namespaces. The motivation was to prevent containers from flooding kernel log of the host. The plan was to keep it that way until syslog namespace implementation allows containers to log in a safe way. However, the work on syslog namespace seems to have hit a dead end somewhere in 2013 and there are users who want to use xt_LOG in all network namespaces. This patch allows to do so by setting /proc/sys/net/netfilter/nf_log_all_netns to a nonzero value. This sysctl is only accessible from init_net so that one cannot switch the behaviour from inside a container. 2016-09-25netfilter: nft_log: complete NFTA_LOG_FLAGS attr supportLiping Zhang1-1/+1
NFTA_LOG_FLAGS attribute is already supported, but the related NF_LOG_XXX flags are not exposed to the userspace. So we cannot explicitly enable log flags to log uid, tcp sequence, ip options and so on, i.e. such rule "nft add rule filter output log uid" is not supported yet. So move NF_LOG_XXX macro definitions to the uapi/../nf_log.h. In order to keep consistent with other modules, change NF_LOG_MASK to refer to all supported log flags. On the other hand, add a new NF_LOG_DEFAULT_MASK to refer to the original default log flags. Finally, if user specify the unsupported log flags or NFTA_LOG_GROUP and NFTA_LOG_FLAGS are set at the same time, report EINVAL to the userspace. 2016-08-30netfilter: log: Check param to avoid overflow in nf_log_setGao Feng1-2/+1
The nf_log_set is an interface function, so it should do the strict sanity check of parameters. Convert the return value of nf_log_set as int instead of void. When the pf is invalid, return -EOPNOTSUPP. Signed-off-by: Gao Feng <fgao@ikuai8.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2016-08-30netfilter: log_arp: Use ARPHRD_ETHER instead of literal '1'Gao Feng1-1/+1
There is one macro ARPHRD_ETHER which defines the ethernet proto for ARP, so we could use it instead of the literal number '1'. Signed-off-by: Gao Feng <fgao@ikuai8.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2015-03-25netfilter: Use LOGLEVEL_<FOO> definesJoe Perches1-1/+3
Use the #defines where appropriate. Miscellanea: Add explicit #include <linux/kernel.h> where it was not previously used so that these #defines are a bit more explicitly defined instead of indirectly included via: module.h->moduleparam.h->kernel.h Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>

2014-10-30netfilter: log: protect nf_log_register against double registeringMarcelo Leitner1-1/+11
Currently, despite the comment right before the function, nf_log_register allows registering two loggers on with the same type and end up overwriting the previous register. Not a real issue today as current tree doesn't have two loggers for the same type but it's better to get this protected. Also make sure that all of its callers do error checking. 2014-06-27netfilter: add generic ARP packet loggerPablo Neira Ayuso1-0/+149
This adds the generic plain text packet loggger for ARP packets. It is based on the ebt_log code. Nevertheless, the output has been modified to make it consistent with the original xt_LOG output. This is an example output: IN=wlan0 OUT= ARP HTYPE=1 PTYPE=0x0800 OPCODE=2 MACSRC=00:ab:12:34:55:63 IPSRC=192.168.10.1 MACDST=80:09:12:70:4f:50 IPDST=192.168.10.150 This patch enables packet logging from ARP chains, eg. nft add rule arp filter input log prefix "input: " Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
