2016-02-23tunnel: Clear IPCB(skb)->opt before dst_link_failure calledBernie Harris1-0/+2
IPCB may contain data from previous layers (in the observed case the qdisc layer). In the observed scenario, the data was misinterpreted as ip header options, which later caused the ihl to be set to an invalid value (<5). This resulted in an infinite loop in the mips implementation of ip_fast_csum. This patch clears IPCB(skb)->opt before dst_link_failure can be called for various types of tunnels. This change only applies to encapsulated ipv4 packets. The code introduced in 11c21a30 which clears all of IPCB has been removed to be consistent with these changes, and instead the opt field is cleared unconditionally in ip_tunnel_xmit. The change in ip_tunnel_xmit applies to SIT, GRE, and IPIP tunnels. The relevant vti, l2tp, and pptp functions already contain similar code for clearing the IPCB. 2015-12-25ip_tunnel: Move stats update to iptunnel_xmit()Pravin B Shelar1-6/+5
By moving stats update into iptunnel_xmit(), we can simplify iptunnel_xmit() usage. With this change there is no need to call another function (iptunnel_xmit_stats()) to update stats in tunnel xmit code path. 2015-08-27tunnel: introduce udp_tun_rx_dst()Pravin B Shelar1-1/+24
Introduce function udp_tun_rx_dst() to initialize tunnel dst on receive path. Signed-off-by: Pravin B Shelar <pshelar@nicira.com> Reviewed-by: Jesse Gross <jesse@nicira.com> Acked-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2015-05-11net: Modify sk_alloc to not reference count the netns of kernel sockets.Eric W. Biederman1-5/+3
Now that sk_alloc knows when a kernel socket is being allocated modify it to not reference count the network namespace of kernel sockets. Keep track of if a socket needs reference counting by adding a flag to struct sock called sk_net_refcnt. Update all of the callers of sock_create_kern to stop using sk_change_net and sk_release_kernel as those hacks are no longer needed, to avoid reference counting a kernel socket. 2015-05-11net: Add a struct net parameter to sock_create_kernEric W. Biederman1-1/+1
This is long overdue, and is part of cleaning up how we allocate kernel sockets that don't reference count struct net. Signed-off-by: "Eric W. Biederman" <ebiederm@xmission.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2015-04-07udp_tunnel: Pass UDP socket down through udp_tunnel{, 6}_xmit_skb().David Miller1-2/+2
That was we can make sure the output path of ipv4/ipv6 operate on the UDP socket rather than whatever random thing happens to be in skb->sk. Based upon a patch by Jiri Pirko. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Acked-by: Hannes Frederic Sowa <hannes@stressinduktion.org>
2015-01-24udp: Do not require sock in udp_tunnel_xmit_skbTom Herbert1-6/+6
The UDP tunnel transmit functions udp_tunnel_xmit_skb and udp_tunnel6_xmit_skb include a socket argument. The socket being passed to the functions (from VXLAN) is a UDP created for receive side. The only thing that the socket is used for in the transmit functions is to get the setting for checksum (enabled or zero). This patch removes the argument and and adds a nocheck argument for checksum setting. This eliminates the unnecessary dependency on a UDP socket for UDP tunnel transmit. 2015-01-05ip: Move checksum convert defines to inetTom Herbert1-1/+1
Move convert_csum from udp_sock to inet_sock. This allows the possibility that we can use convert checksum for different types of sockets and also allows convert checksum to be enabled from inet layer (what we'll want to do when enabling IP_CHECKSUM cmsg). 2014-09-19udp-tunnel: Add a few more UDP tunnel APIsAndy Zhou1-1/+52
Added a few more UDP tunnel APIs that can be shared by UDP based tunnel protocol implementation. The main ones are highlighted below. setup_udp_tunnel_sock() configures UDP listener socket for receiving UDP encapsulated packets. udp_tunnel_xmit_skb() and upd_tunnel6_xmit_skb() transmit skb using UDP encapsulation. udp_tunnel_sock_release() closes the UDP tunnel listener socket. 2014-09-19udp_tunnel: Seperate ipv6 functions into its own file.Andy Zhou1-64/+21
Add ip6_udp_tunnel.c for ipv6 UDP tunnel functions to avoid ifdefs in udp_tunnel.c Signed-off-by: Andy Zhou <azhou@nicira.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-07-14udp: Add udp_sock_create for UDP tunnels to open listener socketTom Herbert1-0/+100
Added udp_tunnel.c which can contain some common functions for UDP tunnels. The first function in this is udp_sock_create which is used to open the listener port for a UDP tunnel. Signed-off-by: Tom Herbert <therbert@google.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
