Three conflicts, one of which, for marvell10g.c is non-trivial and requires some follow-up from Heiner or someone else. The issue is that Heiner converted the marvell10g driver over to use the generic c45 code as much as possible. 2019-02-21ipmr: ip6mr: Create new sockopt to clear mfc cache or vifsCallum Sinclair1-27/+48
Currently the only way to clear the forwarding cache was to delete the entries one by one using the MRT_DEL_MFC socket option or to destroy and recreate the socket. Create a new socket option which with the use of optional flags can clear any combination of multicast entries (static or not static) and multicast vifs (static or not static). Calling the new socket option MRT_FLUSH with the flags MRT_FLUSH_MFC and MRT_FLUSH_VIFS will clear all entries and vifs on the socket except for static entries. soukjin bae reported a crash in tcp_v4_err() handling ICMP_DEST_UNREACH after tcp_write_queue_head(sk) returned a NULL pointer. The netfilter conflicts were rather simple overlapping changes. However, the cls_tcindex.c stuff was a bit more complex. On the 'net' side, Cong is fixing several races and memory leaks. Whilst on the 'net-next' side we have Vlad adding the rtnl-ness support. What I've decided to do, in order to resolve this, is revert the conversion over to using a workqueue that Cong did, bringing us back to pure RCU. I did it this way because I believe that either Cong's races don't apply with have Vlad did things, or Cong will have to implement the race fix slightly differently. Signed-off-by: David S. 2019-02-13netfilter: reject: skip csum verification for protocols that don't support itAlin Nastac1-7/+2
Some protocols have other means to verify the payload integrity (AH, ESP, SCTP) while others are incompatible with nf_ip(6)_checksum implementation because checksum is either optional or might be partial (UDPLITE, DCCP, GRE). Because nf_ip(6)_checksum was used to validate the packets, ip(6)tables REJECT rules were not capable to generate ICMP(v6) errors for the protocols mentioned above. This commit also fixes the incorrect pseudo-header protocol used for IPv4 packets that carry other transport protocols than TCP or UDP (pseudo-header used protocol 0 iso the proper value). 2019-02-12inet_diag: fix reporting cgroup classid and fallback to priorityKonstantin Khlebnikov1-1/+9
Field idiag_ext in struct inet_diag_req_v2 used as bitmap of requested extensions has only 8 bits. Thus extensions starting from DCTCPINFO cannot be requested directly. Some of them included into response unconditionally or hook into some of lower 8 bits. Extension INET_DIAG_CLASS_ID has not way to request from the beginning. This patch bundle it with INET_DIAG_TCLASS (ipv6 tos), fixes space reservation, and documents behavior for other extensions. Also this patch adds fallback to reporting socket priority. This filed is more widely used for traffic classification because ipv4 sockets automatically maps TOS to priority and default qdisc pfifo_fast knows about that. But priority could be changed via setsockopt SO_PRIORITY so INET_DIAG_TOS isn't enough for predicting class. Also cgroup2 obsoletes net_cls classid (it always zero), but we cannot reuse this field for reporting cgroup2 id because it is 64-bit (ino+gen). So, after this patch INET_DIAG_CLASS_ID will report socket priority for most common setup when net_cls isn't set and/or cgroup2 in use. 2019-02-11netfilter: nat: fix spurious connection timeoutsFlorian Westphal1-0/+1
Sander Eikelenboom bisected a NAT related regression down to the l4proto->manip_pkt indirection removal. I forgot that ICMP(v6) errors (e.g. PKTTOOBIG) can be set as related to the existing conntrack entry. Therefore, when passing the skb to nf_nat_ipv4/6_manip_pkt(), that ended up calling the wrong l4 manip function, as tuple->dst.protonum is the original flows l4 protocol (TCP, UDP, etc). Set the dst protocol field to ICMP(v6), we already have a private copy of the tuple due to the inversion of src/dst. 2019-02-08net: ipv4: use a dedicated counter for icmp_v4 redirect packetsLorenzo Bianconi2-2/+6
According to the algorithm described in the comment block at the beginning of ip_rt_send_redirect, the host should try to send 'ip_rt_redirect_number' ICMP redirect packets with an exponential backoff and then stop sending them at all assuming that the destination ignores redirects. If the device has previously sent some ICMP error packets that are rate-limited (e.g TTL expired) and continues to receive traffic, the redirect packets will never be transmitted. This happens since peer->rate_tokens will be typically greater than 'ip_rt_redirect_number' and so it will never be reset even if the redirect silence timeout (ip_rt_redirect_silence) has elapsed without receiving any packet requiring redirects. 2019-02-06net: Introduce ndo_get_port_parent_id()Florian Fainelli1-1/+7
In preparation for getting rid of switchdev_ops, create a dedicated NDO operation for getting the port's parent identifier. There are essentially two classes of drivers that need to implement getting the port's parent ID which are VF/PF drivers with a built-in switch, and pure switchdev drivers such as mlxsw, ocelot, dsa etc. We introduce a helper function: dev_get_port_parent_id() which supports recursion into the lower devices to obtain the first port's parent ID. Convert the bridge, core and ipv4 multicast routing code to check for such ndo_get_port_parent_id() and call the helper function when valid before falling back to switchdev_port_attr_get(). This will allow us to convert all relevant drivers in one go instead of having to implement both switchdev_port_attr_get() and ndo_get_port_parent_id() operations, then get rid of switchdev_port_attr_get(). As part of y2038 solution, all internal uses of struct timeval are replaced by struct __kernel_old_timeval and struct compat_timeval by struct old_timeval32. 2019-02-03sockopt: Rename SO_TIMESTAMP* to SO_TIMESTAMP*_OLDDeepa Dinamani1-3/+3
SO_TIMESTAMP, SO_TIMESTAMPNS and SO_TIMESTAMPING options, the way they are currently defined, are not y2038 safe. Subsequent patches in the series add new y2038 safe versions of these options which provide 64 bit timestamps on all architectures uniformly. Hence, rename existing options with OLD tag suffixes. Also note that kernel will not use the untagged SO_TIMESTAMP* and SCM_TIMESTAMP* options internally anymore. commit 3fb72f1e6e61 ("ipconfig wait for carrier") added a "wait for carrier" policy, with a fixed worst case maximum wait of two minutes. Now make the wait for carrier timeout configurable on the kernel commandline and use the 120s as the default. The timeout messages introduced with commit 5e404cd65860 ("ipconfig: add informative timeout messages while waiting for carrier") are done in a fixed interval of 20 seconds, just like they were before (240/12). Erspan protocol (version 1 and 2) relies on o_key to configure session id header field. However TUNNEL_KEY bit is cleared in erspan_xmit since ERSPAN protocol does not set the key field of the external GRE header and so the configured o_key is not reported to userspace. 2019-01-27tcp: change pingpong threshold to 3Wei Wang1-6/+9
In order to be more confident about an on-going interactive session, we increment pingpong count by 1 for every interactive transaction and we adjust TCP_PINGPONG_THRESH to 3. This means, we only consider a session in pingpong mode after we see 3 interactive transactions, and start to activate delayed acks in quick ack mode. And in order to not over-count the credits, we only increase pingpong count for the first packet sent in response for the previous received packet. This is mainly to prevent delaying the ack immediately after some handshake protocol but no real interactive traffic pattern afterwards. Instead of using pingpong as a single bit information, we refactor the code to treat it as a counter. When interactive session is detected, we set pingpong count to TCP_PINGPONG_THRESH. And when pingpong count is >= TCP_PINGPONG_THRESH, we consider the session in pingpong mode. This patch is a pure refactor and sets foundation for the next patch. This patch itself does not change any pingpong logic.
