2008-05-21mac80211: move TX info into skb->cbJohannes Berg1-12/+10
This patch converts mac80211 and all drivers to have transmit information and status in skb->cb rather than allocating extra memory for it and copying all the data around. To make it fit, a union is used where only data that is necessary for all steps is kept outside of the union. A number of fixes were done by Ivo, as well as the rt2x00 part of this patch. 2008-05-07mac80211: fix wme codeJohannes Berg1-11/+15
In commit e100bb64bf7cdeae7f742a65ee1985649a7fd1b4 (mac80211: QoS related cleanups) I accidentally changed a variable from int to u16 causing a warning that a comparison for < 0 was always false. John thought this was a missing deletion of code and removed the warning by deleting the never executed branch of code in commit 3df5ee60f1ee559b1417397461891f8b483e8089 (wireless: fix warning introduced by "mac80211: QoS related cleanups") but the problem really was my mistake of using a u16 variable for the queue variable when that variable can also contain an error code. This patch restores the original code and variable type. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes@sipsolutions.net> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>

2008-05-07mac80211: QoS related cleanupsJohannes Berg1-70/+50
This * makes the queue number passed to drivers a u16 (as it will be with skb_get_queue_mapping) * removes the useless queue number defines * splits hw->queues into hw->queues/ampdu_queues * removes the debugfs files for per-queue counters * removes some dead QoS code * removes the beacon queue configuration for IBSS so that the drivers now never get a queue number bigger than (hw->queues + hw->ampdu_queues - 1) for tx and only in the range 0..hw->queues-1 for conf_tx. 2008-04-23mac80211: fix use before check of Qdisc lengthRon Rindjunsky1-1/+1
This patch fixes use of Qdisc length in requeue function, before we checked the reference is valid. (Adrian Bunk's catch) Signed-off-by: Ron Rindjunsky <ron.rindjunsky@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
2008-03-06mac80211: RCU-ify STA info structure accessJohannes Berg1-2/+6
This makes access to the STA hash table/list use RCU to protect against freeing of items. However, it's not a true RCU, the copy step is missing: whenever somebody changes a STA item it is simply updated. This is an existing race condition that is now somewhat understandable. This patch also fixes the race key freeing vs. STA destruction by making sure that sta_info_destroy() is always called under RTNL and frees the key. 2008-02-29mac80211: adjustable number of bits for qdisc poolRon Rindjunsky1-9/+9

2008-01-28[NET_SCHED]: Convert packet schedulers from rtnetlink to new netlink APIPatrick McHardy1-7/+7
Convert packet schedulers to use the netlink API. Unfortunately a gradual conversion is not possible without breaking compilation in the middle or adding lots of casts, so this patch converts them all in one step. The patch has been mostly generated automatically with some minor edits to at least allow seperate conversion of classifiers and actions. 2008-01-28mac80211: Assign correct TID for local bridged packetsGuy Cohen1-4/+5
This patch assigns correct TID to frames transmitted between two stations in the same BSS in AP mode. The problem is that skb->protocol is not set to ETH_P_IP and it is wrong to use that field at this stage. The fix compares the LLC/Protocol headers explicitly to check if the encapsulated frame is IP frame Signed-off-by: Guy Cohen <guy.cohen@intel.com> Signed-off-by: John W. 2007-10-10[MAC80211]: remove management interfaceJohannes Berg1-8/+2
