2006-09-23[ALSA] Fix disconnection of proc interfaceTakashi Iwai1-4/+2
- Add the linked list to each proc entry to enable a single-shot disconnection (unregister) - Deprecate snd_info_unregister(), use snd_info_free_entry() - Removed NULL checks of snd_info_free_entry() Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Jaroslav Kysela <perex@suse.cz>
2006-06-22[ALSA] NULL pointer dereference in sound/synth/emux/soundfont.cEric Sesterhenn1-1/+1
this is about coverity id #100. It seems the if statement is negated, since the else branch calls remove_info() with sflist->currsf as a parameter where it gets dereferenced. Signed-off-by: Eric Sesterhenn <snakebyte@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2006-06-22[ALSA] add more sequencer port type information bitsClemens Ladisch1-1/+3
Add four new information flags SNDRV_SEQ_PORT_TYPE_HARDWARE, _SOFTWARE, _SYNTHESIZER, _PORT for sequencer ports. This makes it easier for apps like Rosegarden to make policy decisions based on the port type. Signed-off-by: Clemens Ladisch <clemens@ladisch.de>
2006-06-22[ALSA] fix port type bitsClemens Ladisch1-2/+1
Fix the port information about non-MIDI messages that had wrong values for some OPL3 and EmuX ports. Signed-off-by: Clemens Ladisch <clemens@ladisch.de>
2006-06-22[ALSA] Remove unneeded read/write_size fields in proc text opsTakashi Iwai1-1/+0
Remove unneeded read/write_size fields in proc text ops. snd_info_set_text_ops() is fixed, too. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2006-06-22[ALSA] emux - Move EXPORT_SYMBOL() to adjacent to each functionTakashi Iwai3-11/+10
Move EXPORT_SYMBOL() to adjacent to each exported function/variable. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2006-03-22[ALSA] semaphore -> mutex (driver part)Ingo Molnar6-27/+28
Semaphore to mutex conversion. The conversion was generated via scripts, and the result was validated automatically via a script as well. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2006-01-03[ALSA] seq: set client name in snd_seq_create_kernel_client()Clemens Ladisch1-27/+2
All users of snd_seq_create_kernel_client() have to set the client name anyway, so we can just pass the name as parameter. This relieves us from having to muck around with a struct snd_seq_client_info in these cases. Signed-off-by: Clemens Ladisch <clemens@ladisch.de>
2006-01-03[ALSA] seq: remove struct snd_seq_client_callbackClemens Ladisch1-7/+1
The fields of struct snd_seq_client_callback either aren't used or are always set to the same value, so we can get rid of it altogether. Signed-off-by: Clemens Ladisch <clemens@ladisch.de>
2006-01-03[ALSA] Fix possible races in timer callbacksTakashi Iwai1-2/+3
Fix possible races in timer callbacks. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2006-01-03[ALSA] Remove xxx_t typedefs: Emu-X synthTakashi Iwai11-370/+427
Modules: Common EMU synth,SoundFont,Synth Remove xxx_t typedefs from the Emu-X synth support. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2006-01-03[ALSA] emux - Avoid cast of function pointersTakashi Iwai1-3/+29
Modules: Common EMU synth Pass the proper functions instead of cast of function pointers, which can be dangerous with compiler optimizations. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2005-11-04[ALSA] Fix emu10k1 synth problems.Tim1-1/+0
Modules: EMU10K1/EMU10K2 driver,Common EMU synth This patch fixes problems with voices cutting off or not sounding at all. Signed-off-by: Tim <tedon@rogers.com> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

2005-06-23[PATCH] create a kstrdup library functionPaulo Marques1-1/+2
This patch creates a new kstrdup library function and changes the "local" implementations in several places to use this function. Most of the changes come from the sound and net subsystems. The sound part had already been acknowledged by Takashi Iwai and the net part by David S. Miller. I left UML alone for now because I would need more time to read the code carefully before making changes there. 2005-06-22[ALSA] Remove redundant NULL checks before kfreeJesper Juhl1-4/+2

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds13-0/+4867
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
