2012-07-26sparc32: drop fixmap.hSam Ravnborg4-30/+26
sparc32 does not support fixmaps - so do not pretend so by having the fixmap.h file. Move relevant parts to vaddrs.h. I looked at simplifying this even more but failed to understand the reasoning behind the extra guard page involved and due to missing testing possibilities only the trivial conversion was done. 2012-07-26sparc32: drop swapper_pg_dirSam Ravnborg2-4/+3
We save one page of RAM dropping swapper_pg_dir. It was only used for an assignment in init-mm.c and we redid this later in srmmu.c anyway. This is likely a left-over from the sun4c removal. 2012-07-26pch_gbe: vlan skb len fixAndy Cress1-7/+0
pch_gbe_xmit_frame skb->len verification was incorrect in vlan case causing bogus transfer length errors. One correction could be: offset = skb->protocol == htons(ETH_P_8021Q) ? 0 : 4; if (unlikely(skb->len > (adapter->hw.mac.max_frame_size - offset))) However, this verification is not necessary, so remove it. 2012-07-26posix_types.h: Cleanup stale __NFDBITS and related definitionsJosh Boyer7-32/+12
Recently, glibc made a change to suppress sign-conversion warnings in FD_SET (glibc commit ceb9e56b3d1). This uncovered an issue with the kernel's definition of __NFDBITS if applications #include <linux/types.h> after including <sys/select.h>. A build failure would be seen when passing the -Werror=sign-compare and -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 flags to gcc. It was suggested that the kernel should either match the glibc definition of __NFDBITS or remove that entirely. The current in-kernel uses of __NFDBITS can be replaced with BITS_PER_LONG, and there are no uses of the related __FDELT and __FDMASK defines. Given that, we'll continue the cleanup that was started with commit 8b3d1cda4f5f ("posix_types: Remove fd_set macros") and drop the remaining unused macros. Additionally, linux/time.h has similar macros defined that expand to nothing so we'll remove those at the same time. 2012-07-26bcma: fix invalid PMU chip control masksHauke Mehrtens1-4/+4
Commit b9562545ef0b ("bcma: complete workaround for BCMA43224 and BCM4313") introduced the wrong masks for setting the chip control registers - the "mask" parameter is inverse. It should be the mask of bits *not* changed, which is admittedly a bit non-intuitive. The incorrect mask not only causes the driver to not work correctly on the chips affected (eg the BCM43224 on the Macbook Air 4,2) but the state persists over a soft reset, causing the next boot to not necessarily see the device correctly. 2012-07-26leds: add new lp8788 led driverKim, Milo3-0/+200

Linear copy works by adding the offset to the buffer address, which may end up not being 16-byte aligned. 2012-07-25qeth: repair crash in qeth_l3_vlan_rx_kill_vid()frank.blaschka@de.ibm.com1-0/+4
Commit efc73f4b "net: Fix memory leak - vlan_info struct" adds deletion of VLAN 0 for devices with feature NETIF_F_HW_VLAN_FILTER. For driver qeth these are the layer 3 devices. Usually there exists no separate vlan net_device for VLAN 0. Thus the qeth functions qeth_l3_free_vlan_addresses4() and qeth_l3_free_vlan_addresses6() require an extra checking if function __vlan_find_dev_deep() returns with a net_device.
