2022-08-23bpf, selftests: Test BPF_FLOW_DISSECTOR_CONTINUEShmulik Ladkani1-0/+21
The dissector program returns BPF_FLOW_DISSECTOR_CONTINUE (and avoids setting skb->flow_keys or last_dissection map) in case it encounters IP packets whose (outer) source address is 127.0.0.127. Additional test is added to prog_tests/flow_dissector.c which sets this address as test's pkk.iph.saddr, with the expected retval of BPF_FLOW_DISSECTOR_CONTINUE. Also, legacy test_flow_dissector.sh was similarly augmented. 2022-08-23bpf, test_run: Propagate bpf_flow_dissect's retval to user's bpf_attr.test.retvalShmulik Ladkani1-1/+22
Formerly, a boolean denoting whether bpf_flow_dissect returned BPF_OK was set into 'bpf_attr.test.retval'. Augment this, so users can check the actual return code of the dissector program under test. Existing prog_tests/flow_dissector*.c tests were correspondingly changed to check against each test's expected retval. Also, tests' resulting 'flow_keys' are verified only in case the expected retval is BPF_OK. This allows adding new tests that expect non BPF_OK. 2022-02-02selftests/bpf: Migrate from bpf_prog_test_run_xattrDelyan Kratunov1-17/+14
bpf_prog_test_run_xattr is being deprecated in favor of the OPTS-based bpf_prog_test_run_opts. We end up unable to use CHECK_ATTR so replace usages with ASSERT_* calls. Also, prog_run_xattr is now prog_run_opts. 2021-05-25selftests/bpf: Turn on libbpf 1.0 mode and fix all IS_ERR checksAndrii Nakryiko1-1/+1
Turn ony libbpf 1.0 mode. Fix all the explicit IS_ERR checks that now will be broken because libbpf returns NULL on error (and sets errno). Fix ASSERT_OK_PTR and ASSERT_ERR_PTR to work for both old mode and new modes and use them throughout selftests. This is trivial to do by using libbpf_get_error() API that all libbpf users are supposed to use, instead of IS_ERR checks. A bunch of checks also did explicit -1 comparison for various fd-returning APIs. Such checks are replaced with >= 0 or < 0 cases. There were also few misuses of bpf_object__find_map_by_name() in test_maps. Those are fixed in this patch as well. 2020-06-30selftests: bpf: Pass program to bpf_prog_detach in flow_dissectorLorenz Bauer1-2/+2
Calling bpf_prog_detach is incorrect, since it takes target_fd as its argument. The intention here is to pass it as attach_bpf_fd, so use bpf_prog_detach2 and pass zero for target_fd. 2020-06-01selftests/bpf: Convert test_flow_dissector to use BPF skeletonJakub Sitnicki1-5/+45
Switch flow dissector test setup from custom BPF object loader to BPF skeleton to save boilerplate and prepare for testing higher-level API for attaching flow dissector with bpf_link. To avoid depending on program order in the BPF object when populating the flow dissector PROG_ARRAY map, change the program section names to contain the program index into the map. 2019-08-28selftests/bpf: test_progs: remove global fail/success countsStanislav Fomichev1-3/+1
Now that we have a global per-test/per-environment state, there is no longer need to have global fail/success counters (and there is no need to save/get the diff before/after the test). Introduce CHECK_FAIL macro (suggested by Andrii) and covert existing tests to it. CHECK_FAIL uses new test__fail() to record the failure. 2019-08-13selftests/bpf: fix race in flow dissector testsPetar Penkov1-1/+21
Since the "last_dissection" map holds only the flow keys for the most recent packet, there is a small race in the skb-less flow dissector tests if a new packet comes between transmitting the test packet, and reading its keys from the map. If this happens, the test packet keys will be overwritten and the test will fail. Changing the "last_dissection" map to a hash map, keyed on the source/dest port pair resolves this issue. Additionally, let's clear the last test results from the map between tests to prevent previous test cases from interfering with the following test cases. 2019-07-25selftests/bpf: support BPF_FLOW_DISSECTOR_F_PARSE_1ST_FRAGStanislav Fomichev1-1/+132
bpf_flow.c: exit early unless BPF_FLOW_DISSECTOR_F_PARSE_1ST_FRAG is passed in flags. Also, set ip_proto earlier, this makes sure we have correct value with fragmented packets. Add selftest cases to test ipv4/ipv6 fragments and skip eth_get_headlen tests that don't have BPF_FLOW_DISSECTOR_F_PARSE_1ST_FRAG flag. eth_get_headlen calls flow dissector with BPF_FLOW_DISSECTOR_F_PARSE_1ST_FRAG flag so we can't run tests that have different set of input flags against it. v2: * sefltests -> selftests (Willem de Bruijn) * Reword a comment about eth_get_headlen flags (Song Liu) Acked-by: Petar Penkov <ppenkov@google.com> Acked-by: Willem de Bruijn <willemb@google.com> Acked-by: Song Liu <songliubraving@fb.com> Cc: Song Liu <songliubraving@fb.com> Cc: Willem de Bruijn <willemb@google.com> Cc: Petar Penkov <ppenkov@google.com> Signed-off-by: Stanislav Fomichev <sdf@google.com> Signed-off-by: Alexei Starovoitov <ast@kernel.org>

2019-04-03selftests/bpf: fix vlan handling in flow dissector programStanislav Fomichev1-0/+68
When we tail call PROG(VLAN) from parse_eth_proto we don't need to peek back to handle vlan proto because we didn't adjust nhoff/thoff yet. Use flow_keys->n_proto, that we set in parse_eth_proto instead and properly increment nhoff as well. Also, always use skb->protocol and don't look at skb->vlan_present. skb->vlan_present indicates that vlan information is stored out-of-band in skb->vlan_{tci,proto} and vlan header is already pulled from skb. That means, skb->vlan_present == true is not relevant for BPF flow dissector.
