2022-10-28net: Remove the obsolte u64_stats_fetch_*_irq() users (drivers).Thomas Gleixner1-4/+4

2022-08-30nfp: propagate port speed from management firmwareYinjun Zhang1-21/+9
In future releases the NIC application firmware may be indifferent to port speeds - not built for specific port speeds - and consequently it will not be able to report VF port speeds to the driver without first learning them. With this change, the driver will pass the speed of physical ports from management firmware to application firmware, and the latter will copy the speed of port 0 to all the active VFs. So that the driver can get VF port speed as before. The port speed of a VF may be requested from userspace using: ethtool <vf-intf> Signed-off-by: Yinjun Zhang <yinjun.zhang@corigine.com> Reviewed-by: Louis Peens <louis.peens@corigine.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <simon.horman@corigine.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@redhat.com>
2022-08-29net: Use u64_stats_fetch_begin_irq() for stats fetch.Sebastian Andrzej Siewior1-4/+4
On 32bit-UP u64_stats_fetch_begin() disables only preemption. If the reader is in preemptible context and the writer side (u64_stats_update_begin*()) runs in an interrupt context (IRQ or softirq) then the writer can update the stats during the read operation. This update remains undetected. Use u64_stats_fetch_begin_irq() to ensure the stats fetch on 32bit-UP are not interrupted by a writer. 32bit-SMP remains unaffected by this change. Cc: "David S. 2022-08-03nfp: ethtool: fix the display error of `ethtool -m DEVNAME`Yu Xiao1-0/+2
The port flag isn't set to `NFP_PORT_CHANGED` when using `ethtool -m DEVNAME` before, so the port state (e.g. interface) cannot be updated. Therefore, it caused that `ethtool -m DEVNAME` sometimes cannot read the correct information. E.g. `ethtool -m DEVNAME` cannot work when load driver before plug in optical module, as the port interface is still NONE without port update. 2019-12-19nfp: tls: implement the stream sync RX resyncJakub Kicinski1-1/+7
The simple RX resync strategy controlled by the kernel does not guarantee as good results as if the device helps by detecting the potential record boundaries and keeping track of them. We've called this strategy stream scan in the tls-offload doc. Implement this strategy for the NFP. The device sends a request for record boundary confirmation, which is then recorded in per-TLS socket state and responded to once record is reached. Because the device keeps track of records passing after the request was sent the response is not as latency sensitive as when kernel just tries to tell the device the information about the next record. We used to leave bus-info in ethtool driver info empty for representors in case multi-PCIe-to-single-host cards make the association between PCIe device and NFP many to one. The multi-PCIe-to-single-system support won't be clean, if it ever comes. Turns out some user space (RHEL tests) likes to read bus-info so just populate it. Overlapping changes all over. The mini-qdisc bits were a little bit tricky, however. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2018-01-16nfp: use the correct index for link speed tableJakub Kicinski1-1/+1
sts variable is holding link speed as well as state. We should be using ls to index into ls_to_ethtool. Fixes: 265aeb511bd5 ("nfp: add support for .get_link_ksettings()") Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <jakub.kicinski@netronome.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-12-15nfp: implement firmware flashingDirk van der Merwe1-0/+54
Firmware flashing takes around 60s (specified to not take more than 70s). Prevent hogging the RTNL lock in this time and make use of the longer timeout for the NSP command. The timeout is set to 2.5 * 70 seconds. We only allow flashing the firmware from reprs or PF netdevs. VFs do not have an app reference. 2017-12-05nfp: debug dump ethtool opsCarl Heymann1-8/+47
- Skeleton code to perform a binary debug dump via ethtoolops "set_dump", "get_dump_flags" and "get_dump_data", i.e. the ethtool -W/w mechanism. - Skeleton functions for debugdump operations provided. - An integer "dump level" can be specified, this is stored between ethtool invocations. Dump level 0 is still the "arm.diag" resource for backward compatibility. Other dump levels each define a set of state information to include in the dump, driven by a spec from FW. 2017-11-17nfp: fix vlan receive MAC statistics typoPieter Jansen van Vuuren1-1/+1
Correct typo in vlan receive MAC stats. Previously the MAC statistics reported in ethtool for vlan receive contained a typo resulting in ethtool reporting rx_vlan_reveive_ok instead of rx_vlan_received_ok. 2017-11-05nfp: implement ethtool FEC mode settingsDirk van der Merwe1-1/+116
Add support in the driver ethtool ops to modify the NFP FEC modes. The FEC modes can be set for vNIC associated with physical ports or for MAC representor netdevs. Signed-off-by: Dirk van der Merwe <dirk.vandermerwe@netronome.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <simon.horman@netronome.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2017-11-05nfp: add get/set link settings ndos to representorsDirk van der Merwe1-0/+2
Since it is now safe to modify link settings for representors, we can attach the get/set link settings ndos to it. The get/set link settings are nfp_port based operations. If a port becomes invalid, the representor will be removed in the same way a vnic would be.
