This fixes an issue that a gadget driver (usb_f_fs) is possible to stop rx transactions after the usb-dmac is used because the following functions missed to set/check the "running" flag. - usbhsf_dma_prepare_pop_with_usb_dmac() - usbhsf_dma_pop_done_with_usb_dmac() So, if next transaction uses pio, the usbhsf_prepare_pop() can not start the transaction because the "running" flag is 0. USB_GADGET_DUALSPEED was removed by commit 85b8614d7223 ("usb: gadget: get rid of USB_GADGET_{DUAL,SUPER}SPEED"), but the USB_SNP_UDC_PLAT symbol still selects it. 2018-02-12usb: gadget: f_fs: Use config_ep_by_speed()Jack Pham1-31/+7
In commit 2bfa0719ac2a ("usb: gadget: function: f_fs: pass companion descriptor along") there is a pointer arithmetic bug where the comp_desc is obtained as follows: comp_desc = (struct usb_ss_ep_comp_descriptor *)(ds + USB_DT_ENDPOINT_SIZE); Since ds is a pointer to usb_endpoint_descriptor, adding 7 to it ends up going out of bounds (7 * sizeof(struct usb_endpoint_descriptor), which is actually 7*9 bytes) past the SS descriptor. As a result the maxburst value will be read incorrectly, and the UDC driver will also get a garbage comp_desc (assuming it uses it). Since Felipe wrote, "Eventually, f_fs.c should be converted to use config_ep_by_speed() like all other functions, though", let's finally do it. This allows the other usb_ep fields to be properly populated, such as maxpacket and mult. It also eliminates the awkward speed-based descriptor lookup since config_ep_by_speed() does that already using the ones found in struct usb_function. 2018-02-12usb: gadget: f_fs: Process all descriptors during bindJack Pham1-4/+2
During _ffs_func_bind(), the received descriptors are evaluated to prepare for binding with the gadget in order to allocate endpoints and optionally set up OS descriptors. However, the high- and super-speed descriptors are only parsed based on whether the gadget_is_dualspeed() and gadget_is_superspeed() calls are true, respectively. This is a problem in case a userspace program always provides all of the {full,high,super,OS} descriptors when configuring a function. Then, for example if a gadget device is not capable of SuperSpeed, the call to ffs_do_descs() for the SS descriptors is skipped, resulting in an incorrect offset calculation for the vla_ptr when moving on to the OS descriptors that follow. This causes ffs_do_os_descs() to fail as it is now looking at the SS descriptors' offset within the raw_descs buffer instead. _ffs_func_bind() should evaluate the descriptors unconditionally, so remove the checks for gadget speed. 2018-02-12usb: dwc3: core: Power-off core/PHYs on system_suspend in host modeManu Gautam1-14/+22
Commit 689bf72c6e0d ("usb: dwc3: Don't reinitialize core during host bus-suspend/resume") updated suspend/resume routines to not power_off and reinit PHYs/core for host mode. It broke platforms that rely on DWC3 core to power_off PHYs to enter low power state on system suspend. Perform dwc3_core_exit/init only during host mode system_suspend/ resume to addresses power regression from above mentioned patch and also allow USB session to stay connected across runtime_suspend/resume in host mode. While at it also replace existing checks for HOST only dr_mode with current_dr_role to have similar core driver behavior for both Host-only and DRD+Host configurations. 2018-02-12usb: dwc3: ep0: Reset TRB counter for ep0 INThinh Nguyen1-1/+6
DWC3 tracks TRB counter for each ep0 direction separately. In control read transfer completion handler, the driver needs to reset the TRB enqueue counter for ep0 IN direction. Currently the driver only resets the TRB counter for control OUT endpoint. Check for the data direction and properly reset the TRB counter from correct control endpoint. 2018-02-12usb: dwc3: gadget: Set maxpacket size for ep0 INThinh Nguyen1-0/+2
There are 2 control endpoint structures for DWC3. However, the driver only updates the OUT direction control endpoint structure during ConnectDone event. DWC3 driver needs to update the endpoint max packet size for control IN endpoint as well. If the max packet size is not properly set, then the driver will incorrectly calculate the data transfer size and fail to send ZLP for HS/FS 3-stage control read transfer. The fix is simply to update the max packet size for the ep0 IN direction during ConnectDone event. With this, we finally get to the promised end result: - POLL{IN,OUT,...} are plain integers and *not* in __poll_t, so any stray instances of ->poll() still using those will be caught by sparse. - eventpoll.c and select.c warning-free wrt __poll_t - no more kernel-side definitions of POLL... - userland ones are visible through the entire kernel (and used pretty much only for mangle/demangle) - same behavior as after the first series (i.e. sparc et.al. epoll(2) working correctly). 2018-02-11xtensa: fix build with KASANMax Filippov1-0/+2

2018-02-10powerpc/pci: Fix broken INTx configuration via OFAlexey Kardashevskiy1-2/+3
59f47eff03a0 ("powerpc/pci: Use of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() helper") replaced of_irq_parse_pci() + irq_create_of_mapping() with of_irq_parse_and_map_pci(), but neglected to capture the virq returned by irq_create_of_mapping(), so virq remained zero, which caused INTx configuration to fail. Save the virq value returned by of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() and correct the virq declaration to match the of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() signature. As suggested by Marcelo we should check the chunk's length in _sctp_make_chunk() before trying to allocate skb for it and discard a chunk if its size bigger than SCTP_MAX_CHUNK_LEN. For a memory range/skb where the last byte falls onto a page boundary (ie. 'end' is of the form xxx...xxx001), the PFN_UP() part of the calculation currently doesn't round up to the next PFN due to an off-by-one error. Thus qeth believes that the skb occupies one page less than it actually does, and may select a IO buffer that doesn't have enough spare buffer elements to fit all of the skb's data. HW detects this as a malformed buffer descriptor, and raises an exception which then triggers device recovery. The interrupt status register in both dwmac1000 and dwmac4 ignores interrupt enable (for dwmac4) / interrupt mask (for dwmac1000). Therefore, if we want to check only the bits that can actually trigger an irq, we have to filter the interrupt status register manually. Commit 0a764db10337 ("stmmac: Discard masked flags in interrupt status register") fixed this for dwmac1000. Fix the same issue for dwmac4. Just like commit 0a764db10337 ("stmmac: Discard masked flags in interrupt status register"), this makes sure that we do not get spurious link up/link down prints. 2018-02-09ibmvnic: Reset long term map ID counterThomas Falcon1-0/+1
When allocating RX or TX buffer pools, the driver needs to provide a unique mapping ID to firmware for each pool. This value is assigned using a counter which is incremented after a new pool is created. The ID can be an integer ranging from 1-255. When migrating to a device that requests a different number of queues, this value was not being reset properly. As a result, after enough migrations, the counter exceeded the upper bound and pool creation failed. This is fixed by resetting the counter to one in this case. 2018-02-09KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: Make HPT resizing work on POWER9David Gibson2-9/+24
This adds code to enable the HPT resizing code to work on POWER9, which uses a slightly modified HPT entry format compared to POWER8. On POWER9, we convert HPTEs read from the HPT from the new format to the old format so that the rest of the HPT resizing code can work as before. HPTEs written to the new HPT are converted to the new format as the last step before writing them into the new HPT. This takes out the checks added by commit bcd3bb63dbc8 ("KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: Disable HPT resizing on POWER9 for now", 2017-02-18), now that HPT resizing works on POWER9. On POWER9, when we pivot to the new HPT, we now call kvmppc_setup_partition_table() to update the partition table in order to make the hardware use the new HPT. 2018-02-09KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: Fix handling of secondary HPTEG in HPT resizing codePaul Mackerras1-6/+2
This fixes the computation of the HPTE index to use when the HPT resizing code encounters a bolted HPTE which is stored in its secondary HPTE group. The code inverts the HPTE group number, which is correct, but doesn't then mask it with new_hash_mask. As a result, new_pteg will be effectively negative, resulting in new_hptep pointing before the new HPT, which will corrupt memory. In addition, this removes two BUG_ON statements. The condition that the BUG_ONs were testing -- that we have computed the hash value incorrectly -- has never been observed in testing, and if it did occur, would only affect the guest, not the host. Given that BUG_ON should only be used in conditions where the kernel (i.e. the host kernel, in this case) can't possibly continue execution, it is not appropriate here. 2018-02-09tools/libbpf: handle issues with bpf ELF objects containing .eh_framesJesper Dangaard Brouer1-0/+26
V3: More generic skipping of relo-section (suggested by Daniel) If clang >= 4.0.1 is missing the option '-target bpf', it will cause llc/llvm to create two ELF sections for "Exception Frames", with section names '.eh_frame' and '.rel.eh_frame'. The BPF ELF loader library libbpf fails when loading files with these sections. The other in-kernel BPF ELF loader in samples/bpf/bpf_load.c, handle this gracefully. And iproute2 loader also seems to work with these "eh" sections. The issue in libbpf is caused by bpf_object__elf_collect() skipping some sections, and later when performing relocation it will be pointing to a skipped section, as these sections cannot be found by bpf_object__find_prog_by_idx() in bpf_object__collect_reloc(). This is a general issue that also occurs for other sections, like debug sections which are also skipped and can have relo section. As suggested by Daniel. To avoid keeping state about all skipped sections, instead perform a direct qlookup in the ELF object. Lookup the section that the relo-section points to and check if it contains executable machine instructions (denoted by the sh_flags SHF_EXECINSTR). Use this check to also skip irrelevant relo-sections. Note, for samples/bpf/ the '-target bpf' parameter to clang cannot be used due to incompatibility with asm embedded headers, that some of the samples include.
