2022-06-16dt-bindings: phy: List supplies for qcom,edp-phyDouglas Anderson1-0/+6
We're supposed to list the supplies in the dt bindings but there are none in the eDP PHY bindings. Looking at the driver in Linux, I can see that there seem to be two relevant supplies: "vdda-phy" and "vdda-pll". Let's add those to the bindings. NOTE: from looking at the Qualcomm datasheet for sc7280, it's not immediately clear how to figure out how to fill in these supplies. The only two eDP related supplies are simply described as "power for eDP 0.9V circuits" and "power for eDP 1.2V circuits". From guessing and from comparing how a similar PHY is hooked up on other similar Qualcomm boards, I'll make the educated guess that the 1.2V supply goes to "vdda-phy" and the 0.9V supply goes to "vdda-pll" and I'll use that in the example here. 2022-05-04dt-bindings: Drop redundant 'maxItems/minItems' in if/then schemasRob Herring1-6/+4
Another round of removing redundant minItems/maxItems when 'items' list is specified. This time it is in if/then schemas as the meta-schema was failing to check this case. If a property has an 'items' list, then a 'minItems' or 'maxItems' with the same size as the list is redundant and can be dropped. Note that is DT schema specific behavior and not standard json-schema behavior. The tooling will fixup the final schema adding any unspecified minItems/maxItems. 2022-04-20dt-bindings: sun6i-a31-mipi-dphy: Add optional direction propertyPaul Kocialkowski1-0/+12
The Allwinner A31 MIPI D-PHY block supports both tx and rx directions, although each instance of the block is meant to be used in one direction only. There will typically be one instance for MIPI DSI and one for MIPI CSI-2 (it seems unlikely to ever see a shared instance). Describe the direction with a new allwinner, direction property. For backwards compatibility, the property is optional and tx mode should be assumed by default. 2022-04-20dt-bindings: phy: Convert mixel,mipi-dsi-phy to json-schemaLiu Ying2-29/+72
This patch converts the mixel,mipi-dsi-phy binding to DT schema format using json-schema. Comparing to the plain text version, the new binding adds the 'assigned-clocks', 'assigned-clock-parents' and 'assigned-clock-rates' properites, otherwise 'make dtbs_check' would complain that there are mis-matches. Also, the new binding requires the 'power-domains' property since all potential SoCs that embed this PHY would provide a power domain for it. The example of the new binding takes reference to the latest dphy node in imx8mq.dtsi.
