Move the default state pinmux definition into the pinmux node. There's
no need for the indirection via the phandle.
Note that the phandle indirection is kept for the EMC operating
performance point tables because they reference nodes that are defined
in an external file.

The Medcom Wide and PAZ00 boards don't specify the power supply for the
backlight, which means that the Linux driver will provide a dummy one.
Wire up an explicit dummy to also make the DT schema validation succeed.
Unfortunately I don't have access to the schematics for the Medcom Wide,
so I don't know if a more accurate description is possible.
The AC100 (PAZ00) schematics from here:
https://www.s-manuals.com/pdf/motherboard/compal/compal_la-6352p_r1.0a_schematics.pdf
aren't entirely clear which one of the supplies powers backlight, but
the panel supply is probably close enough.

Apple SoC DT updates for 5.17, round 2:
- Various cleanups (removing useless props, sorting nodes, renaming
things)
- Add PMGR min-state binding & props (see PMGR pull for driver change)
- Initial compatibles for t600x machines (M1 Pro/Max). This covers the
bindings that just need compatible bumps & minor tweaks, no driver
changes.
- Add watchdog node (driver not merged yet, hopefully will be; binding
went in the previous pull)
- Add missing power-domains property to the mailbox binding

The kvm_host_owns_hyp_mappings() function should return true if and only
if the host kernel is responsible for creating the hypervisor stage-1
mappings. That is only possible in standard non-VHE mode, or during boot
in protected nVHE mode. But either way, none of this makes sense in VHE,
so make sure to catch this case as well, hence making the function
return sensible values in any context (VHE or not).

The __io_map_base variable is used at EL2 to track the end of the

GICv2 requires having device mappings in guests and the hypervisor,
which is incompatible with the current pKVM EL2 page ownership model
which only covers memory. While it would be desirable to support pKVM
with GICv2, this will require a lot more work, so let's make the
current assumption clear until then.

The memory reservation in arch/x86/platform/efi/efi.c depends on at
least two command line parameters. Put it back later in the boot process
and move efi_memblock_x86_reserve_range() out of early_memory_reserve().
An attempt to fix this was done in
8d48bf8206f7 ("x86/boot: Pull up cmdline preparation and early param parsing")
but that caused other troubles so it got reverted.
The bug this is addressing is:
Dan reports that Anjaneya Chagam can no longer use the efi=nosoftreserve
kernel command line parameter to suppress "soft reservation" behavior.
This is due to the fact that the following call-chain happens at boot:
early_reserve_memory
|-> efi_memblock_x86_reserve_range
|-> efi_fake_memmap_early
which does
if (!efi_soft_reserve_enabled())
return;
and that would have set EFI_MEM_NO_SOFT_RESERVE after having parsed
"nosoftreserve".
However, parse_early_param() gets called *after* it, leading to the boot
cmdline not being taken into account.

The __dma_inv_area() and __dma_clean_area() aliases make cache.S harder
to navigate, but don't gain us anything in practice.
For clarity, let's remove them along with their redundant comments. The
only users are __dma_map_area() and __dma_unmap_area(), which need to be
position independent, and can call __pi_dcache_inval_poc() and
__pi_dcache_clean_poc() directly.

This reverts commit 8d48bf8206f77aa8687f0e241e901e5197e52423.
It turned out to be a bad idea as it broke supplying mem= cmdline
parameters due to parse_memopt() requiring preparatory work like setting
up the e820 table in e820__memory_setup() in order to be able to exclude
the range specified by mem=.
Pulling that up would've broken Xen PV again, see threads at
https://lkml.kernel.org/r/20210920120421.29276-1-jgross@suse.com
due to xen_memory_setup() needing the first reservations in
early_reserve_memory() - kernel and initrd - to have happened already.
This could be fixed again by having Xen do those reservations itself...
Long story short, revert this and do a simpler fix in a later patch.

This patch enables KCSAN for arm64, with updates to build rules
to not use KCSAN for several incompatible compilation units.
Recent GCC version(at least GCC10) made outline-atomics as the
default option(unlike Clang), which will cause linker errors
for kernel/kcsan/core.o. Disables the out-of-line atomics by
no-outline-atomics to fix the linker errors.
Meanwhile, as Mark said[1], some latent issues are needed to be
fixed which isn't just a KCSAN problem, we make the KCSAN depends
on EXPERT for now.
Tested selftest and kcsan_test(built with GCC11 and Clang 13),

With the trend for per-core events moving to userspace JSON, registering
names for PMUv3 implementations is increasingly a pure boilerplate
exercise. Let's wrap things a step further so we can generate the basic
PMUv3 init function with a macro invocation, and reduce further new
addition to just 2 lines each.
