The recently added configuration option for Cortex A510 erratum 2051678 does
not have a "default y" unlike other errata fixes. This appears to simply be
an oversight since the help text suggests enabling the option if unsure and
there's nothing in the commit log to suggest it is intentional.

In kvm_arch_vcpu_ioctl_run() we enter an RCU extended quiescent state
(EQS) by calling guest_enter_irqoff(), and unmasked IRQs prior to
exiting the EQS by calling guest_exit(). As the IRQ entry code will not
wake RCU in this case, we may run the core IRQ code and IRQ handler
without RCU watching, leading to various potential problems.
Additionally, we do not inform lockdep or tracing that interrupts will
be enabled during guest execution, which caan lead to misleading traces
and warnings that interrupts have been enabled for overly-long periods.
This patch fixes these issues by using the new timing and context
entry/exit helpers to ensure that interrupts are handled during guest
vtime but with RCU watching, with a sequence:
guest_timing_enter_irqoff();
guest_state_enter_irqoff();
< run the vcpu >
guest_state_exit_irqoff();
< take any pending IRQs >
guest_timing_exit_irqoff();
Since instrumentation may make use of RCU, we must also ensure that no
instrumented code is run during the EQS. I've split out the critical
section into a new kvm_arm_enter_exit_vcpu() helper which is marked
noinstr.

PPIN is the Protected Processor Identification Number.
This is used to identify the socket as a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU).
Existing code only displays this when reporting errors. But this makes
it inconvenient for large clusters to use it for its intended purpose
of inventory control.
Add ppin to /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/topology to make what
is already available using RDMSR more easily accessible. Make
the file read only for root in case there are still people
concerned about making a unique system "serial number" available.

Currently, the PPIN (Protected Processor Inventory Number) MSR is read
by every CPU that processes a machine check, CMCI, or just polls machine
check banks from a periodic timer. This is not a "fast" MSR, so this
adds to overhead of processing errors.
Add a new "ppin" field to the cpuinfo_x86 structure. Read and save the
PPIN during initialization. Use this copy in mce_setup() instead of
reading the MSR.

After nine generations of adding to model specific list of CPUs that
support PPIN (Protected Processor Inventory Number) Intel allocated
a CPUID bit to enumerate the MSRs.
CPUID(EAX=7, ECX=1).EBX bit 0 enumerates presence of MSR_PPIN_CTL and
MSR_PPIN. Add it to the "scattered" CPUID bits and add an entry to the
ppin_cpuids[] x86_match_cpu() array to catch Intel CPUs that implement
it.

For consistency and clarity, migrate x86 over to the generic helpers for
guest timing and lockdep/RCU/tracing management, and remove the
x86-specific helpers.
Prior to this patch, the guest timing was entered in
kvm_guest_enter_irqoff() (called by svm_vcpu_enter_exit() and
svm_vcpu_enter_exit()), and was exited by the call to
vtime_account_guest_exit() within vcpu_enter_guest().
To minimize duplication and to more clearly balance entry and exit, both
entry and exit of guest timing are placed in vcpu_enter_guest(), using
the new guest_timing_{enter,exit}_irqoff() helpers. When context
tracking is used a small amount of additional time will be accounted
towards guests; tick-based accounting is unnaffected as IRQs are
disabled at this point and not enabled until after the return from the
guest.
This also corrects (benign) mis-balanced context tracking accounting
introduced in commits:
ae95f566b3d22ade ("KVM: X86: TSCDEADLINE MSR emulation fastpath")
26efe2fd92e50822 ("KVM: VMX: Handle preemption timer fastpath")
Where KVM can enter a guest multiple times, calling vtime_guest_enter()
without a corresponding call to vtime_account_guest_exit(), and with
vtime_account_system() called when vtime_account_guest() should be used.
As account_system_time() checks PF_VCPU and calls account_guest_time(),
this doesn't result in any functional problem, but is unnecessarily
confusing.

In addition, as guest exits during the "run the vcpu" step are handled
by kvm_mips_handle_exit(), a wrapper function is added which ensures
that such exists are handled with a sequence:
guest_state_exit_irqoff();

guest_state_enter_irqoff();
This means that exits which stop the vCPU running will have a redundant
guest_state_enter_irqoff() .. guest_state_exit_irqoff() sequence, which
can be addressed with future rework.

The code to decide whether a system supports the PPIN (Protected
Processor Inventory Number) MSR was cloned from the Intel
implementation. Apart from the X86_FEATURE bit and the MSR numbers it is
identical.
Merge the two functions into common x86 code, but use x86_match_cpu()
instead of the switch (c->x86_model) that was used by the old Intel
code.
No functional change.

There are currently 2 ways to create a set of sysfs files for a
kobj_type, through the default_attrs field, and the default_groups
field. Move the AMD mce sysfs code to use default_groups field which has
been the preferred way since
aa30f47cf666 ("kobject: Add support for default attribute groups to kobj_type")
so that the obsolete default_attrs field can be removed soon.

Handle non-APICv interrupt delivery in vendor code, even though it means
VMX and SVM will temporarily have duplicate code. SVM's AVIC has a race
condition that requires KVM to fall back to legacy interrupt injection
_after_ the interrupt has been logged in the vIRR, i.e. to fix the race,
SVM will need to open code the full flow anyways[*]. Refactor the code
so that the SVM bug without introducing other issues, e.g. SVM would
return "success" and thus invoke trace_kvm_apicv_accept_irq() even when
delivery through the AVIC failed, and to opportunistically prepare for
using KVM_X86_OP to fill each vendor's kvm_x86_ops struct, which will
rely on the vendor function matching the kvm_x86_op pointer name.
No functional change intended.

This is needed due changes in commit 0519d1d0bf33 ("clk: qcom:
gcc-msm8994: Modernize the driver"), which removed struct
clk_fixed_factor. Preparation for next commit for enabling SD/eMMC.
Inspired by 2c2f64ae36d9.
This is required for both msm8994-huawei-angler (sdhc1 will be enabled
in next commit) and msm8992-lg-bullhead (where actually fixes sdhc1
- tested on bullhead rev 1.01).

Block at <ff800400 0x4c> is a TWD that contains timers, watchdog and
reset. Actual timers happen to be at block beginning but they only span
across the first 0x28 registers. It means the old block description was
incorrect (size 0x3c).
Drop timers binding for now and use documented TWD binding. Timers
should be properly documented and defined as TWD subnode.

This reverts commit c23f1b77358c173a25ef21303d2a8cc893e9ce22.
The SM6125_VDDCX constant was replaced with 0 temporarily as the header
patch defining this constant resided in a different branch, creating an
unwanted dependency of the dts branch on the drivers branch.
Now (by the time this patch will be applied) that both branches have
been merged upstream, it is safe to revert to the constant again.

Add the generic 'max-link-speed' property to describe the IPQ6018 PCIe
link generation limit. This allows the generic dwc code to configure the
link speed correctly.

The msm8998 cache nodes have some issues. First, L1 caches are described
within cpu nodes, not as separate nodes. The 'next-level-cache' property
is of course in the correct location, otherwise the cache hierarchy
walking would not work. Remove all the L1 cache nodes.
Second, 'arm,arch-cache' is not a documented compatible string. "cache"
is a sufficient compatible string for the Arm architected caches.

Since commit d0a6ce59ea4e ("arm64: dts: qcom: sm8150: Add support for
SONY Xperia 1 / 5 (Kumano platform)"), we can directly refer to pwrkey
and resin by their new labels, respectively pon_pwrkey and pon_resin.
Simplify microsof surface duo DTS by utilizing the new labels.

Replace (unused) enable-gpio binding with schema-defined wake-gpios. The
GPIO line is still unused, but at least we'd follow the defined schema.
While we are at it, change perst-gpio property to follow the preferred
naming schema (perst-gpios).

qcom,apq8016-sbc-sndcard is now covered by the qcom,sm8250.yaml schema
which has slightly different recommendations for the naming of
properties and nodes. The old naming is still functional but
deprecated. Update the &sound node in apq8016-sbc to fix the following
dtbs_check warnings:
apq8016-sbc.dt.yaml: sound@7702000: 'model' is a required property
