2022-07-04IB: Fix spelling of 'writable'Zhang Jiaming1-1/+1
There is a typo (writeable) in qib_file_ops.c, qib_sd7220.c's comments, and in rxe_check_bind_mw() Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220701074812.12615-1-jiaming@nfschina.com Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220701080019.13329-1-jiaming@nfschina.com Signed-off-by: Zhang Jiaming <jiaming@nfschina.com> Signed-off-by: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg@nvidia.com>
2021-04-30IB/qib: Remove redundant assignment to retYang Li1-1/+0
Variable 'ret' is set to zero but this value is never read as it is overwritten with a new value later on, hence it is a redundant assignment and can be removed. Clean up the following clang-analyzer warning: drivers/infiniband/hw/qib/qib_sd7220.c:690:2: warning: Value stored to 'ret' is never read [clang-analyzer-deadcode.DeadStores] Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/1619692940-104771-1-git-send-email-yang.lee@linux.alibaba.com Reported-by: Abaci Robot <abaci@linux.alibaba.com> Signed-off-by: Yang Li <yang.lee@linux.alibaba.com> Signed-off-by: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg@nvidia.com>
2019-04-08drivers: Remove explicit invocations of mmiowb()Will Deacon1-4/+0
mmiowb() is now implied by spin_unlock() on architectures that require it, so there is no reason to call it from driver code. This patch was generated using coccinelle: @mmiowb@ @@ - mmiowb(); and invoked as: $ for d in drivers include/linux/qed sound; do \ spatch --include-headers --sp-file mmiowb.cocci --dir $d --in-place; done NOTE: mmiowb() has only ever guaranteed ordering in conjunction with spin_unlock(). However, pairing each mmiowb() removal in this patch with the corresponding call to spin_unlock() is not at all trivial, so there is a small chance that this change may regress any drivers incorrectly relying on mmiowb() to order MMIO writes between CPUs using lock-free synchronisation. If you've ended up bisecting to this commit, you can reintroduce the mmiowb() calls using wmb() instead, which should restore the old behaviour on all architectures other than some esoteric ia64 systems. Conflicts: drivers/infiniband/hw/cxgb4/cm.c drivers/infiniband/hw/qib/qib_driver.c drivers/infiniband/hw/qib/qib_mad.c There were minor fixups needed in these files. Just minor context diffs due to patches from independent sources touching the same basic area. Signed-off-by: Doug Ledford <dledford@redhat.com>

2017-10-09IB/qib: Convert timers to use timer_setup()Kees Cook1-6/+4
In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer() helper to pass the timer pointer explicitly. 2013-04-05firmware,IB/qib: revert firmware file moveMike Marciniszyn1-1/+1
Commit e2eed58b4fbf ("IB/qib: change QLogic to Intel") moved a firmware file potentially breaking the ABI. This patch reverts that aspect of the fix as well as reverting the firmware name as used in qib. 2010-07-08IB/qib: Use request_firmware() to load SD7220 firmwareBen Hutchings1-11/+45
