Commit 1a59d1b8e05e ("treewide: Replace GPLv2 boilerplate/reference with SPDX - rule 156") has left some empty comment blocks. Remove them to save a few lines of code. Follow the advice of the below link and prefer 'strscpy' in this subsystem. Conversion is 1:1 because the return value is not used. Generated by a coccinelle script. 2022-04-23Input: remove third argument of usb_maxpacket()Vincent Mailhol1-1/+1
The third argument of usb_maxpacket(): in_out has been deprecated because it could be derived from the second argument (e.g. using usb_pipeout(pipe)). N.B. function usb_maxpacket() was made variadic to accommodate the transition from the old prototype with three arguments to the new one with only two arguments (so that no renaming is needed). The variadic argument is to be removed once all users of usb_maxpacket() get migrated. 2018-01-17Input: inline macros for MODULE_LICENSE, etcJulia Lawall1-9/+2
Inline macro for MODULE_LICENSE to make the license information easy to find, eg with grep. Inline the other module-related macros at the same time. A simplified version of the semantic patch for the MODULE_LICENSE case is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @s@ identifier i; expression e; @@ @@ declarer name MODULE_LICENSE; identifier s.i; expression s.e; @@ MODULE_LICENSE( - i + e ); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> [dtor: added a couple of drivers missed by the script, removed a few unused DRIVER_VERSION macros] Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
2018-01-16Input: remove unneeded DRIVER_LICENSE #definesGreg Kroah-Hartman1-2/+1
There is no need to #define the license of the driver, just put it in the MODULE_LICENSE() line directly as a text string. This allows tools that check that the module license matches the source code license to work properly, as there is no need to unwind the unneeded dereference. For some of these drivers, the #define is just a few lines above the MODULE_LICENSE() line, which is extra pointless. 2017-08-07Input: acecad - constify usb_device_idi and fix space before '[' errorArvind Yadav1-1/+1
usb_device_id are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with usb_device_id provided by <linux/usb.h> work with const usb_device_id. So mark the non-const structs as const. 2014-01-06Input: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. 2012-05-04USB: input: acecad.c: fix up dev_* messagesGreg Kroah-Hartman1-3/+6
Previously I had made the struct device point to the input device, but after talking with Dmitry, he said that the USB device would make more sense for this driver to point to. So converted it to use that instead. CC: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-05-01USB: acecad.c: remove dbg() usageGreg Kroah-Hartman1-2/+4
dbg() was a very old USB-specific macro that should no longer be used. This patch removes it from being used in the driver and uses dev_dbg() instead. CC: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-05-01USB: input: acecad.c: fix up dev_err() usageGreg Kroah-Hartman1-1/+1

2012-04-25USB: acecad.c: remove err() usageGreg Kroah-Hartman1-2/+4

2011-11-18USB: convert drivers/input/* to use module_usb_driver()Greg Kroah-Hartman1-16/+1
This converts the drivers in drivers/input/* to use the module_usb_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. Added bonus is that it removes some unneeded kernel log messages about drivers loading and/or unloading.
