2022-09-07net/mlx5: Add MACsec offload Tx command supportLior Nahmanson1-0/+8
This patch adds support for Connect-X MACsec offload Tx SA commands: add, update and delete. In Connect-X MACsec, a Security Association (SA) is added or deleted via allocating a HW context of an encryption/decryption key and a HW context of a matching SA (MACsec object). When new SA is added: - Use a separate crypto key HW context. - Create a separate MACsec context in HW to include the SA properties. Introduce a new compilation flag MLX5_EN_MACSEC for it. Follow-up patches will implement the Tx steering. 2022-04-09net/mlx5: Reduce kconfig complexity while building crypto supportLeon Romanovsky1-5/+0
Both IPsec and kTLS need two functions declared in the lib/crypto.c file. These functions are advertised through general mlx5.h file and don't have any protection from attempts to call them without proper config option. Instead of creating stubs just for two functions, simply build that *.c file as part of regular mlx5_eth build and rely on compiler to throw them away if no callers exist in produced code. Mellanox INNOVA IPsec cards are EOL in Nov, 2019 [1]. As such, the code is unmaintained, untested and not in-use by any upstream/distro oriented customers. 2022-04-06net/mlx5: Remove indirection in TLS buildLeon Romanovsky1-10/+1
The dream described in the commit 1ae173228489 ("net/mlx5: Accel, Add TLS tx offload interface") never came true, even an opposite happened when FPGA TLS support was dropped. Such removal revealed the problematic flow in the build process: build of unrelated files in case of TLS or IPsec are enabled. In both cases, the MLX5_ACCEL is enabled, which built both TLS and IPsec. As a solution, simply merge MLX5_TLS and MLX5_EN_TLS options and move TLS related files to the eth part of the mlx5_core. The 'imply' keyword does not do what most people think it does, it only politely asks Kconfig to turn on another symbol, but does not prevent it from being disabled manually or built as a loadable module when the user is built-in. I'm providing a link to the previous email thread for reference, which discusses some related problems. To solve the dependency issue better than the 'imply' keyword, introduce a separate Kconfig symbol "CONFIG_PTP_1588_CLOCK_OPTIONAL" that any driver can depend on if it is able to use PTP support when available, but works fine without it. Whenever CONFIG_PTP_1588_CLOCK=m, those drivers are then prevented from being built-in, the same way as with a 'depends on PTP_1588_CLOCK || !PTP_1588_CLOCK' dependency that does the same trick, but that can be rather confusing when you first see it. Since this should cover the dependencies correctly, the IS_REACHABLE() hack in the header is no longer needed now, and can be turned back into a normal IS_ENABLED() check. Any driver that gets the dependency wrong will now cause a link time failure rather than being unable to use PTP support when that is in a loadable module. However, the two recently added ptp_get_vclocks_index() and ptp_convert_timestamp() interfaces are only called from builtin code with ethtool and socket timestamps, so keep the current behavior by stubbing those out completely when PTP is in a loadable module. This should be addressed properly in a follow-up. As Richard suggested, we may want to actually turn PTP support into a 'bool' option later on, preventing it from being a loadable module altogether, which would be one way to solve the problem with the ethtool interface. 2021-06-09net/mlx5: Bridge, add offload infrastructureVlad Buslov1-0/+10
Create new files bridge.{c|h} in en/rep directory that implement bridge interaction with representor netdevices and handle required events/notifications, bridge.{c|h} in esw directory that implement all necessary eswitch offloading infrastructure and works on vport/eswitch level. Provide new kconfig MLX5_BRIDGE which is automatically selected when both kernel bridge and mlx5 eswitch configs are enabled. Provide basic infrastructure for bridge offloads: - struct mlx5_esw_bridge_offloads - per-eswitch bridge offload structure that encapsulates generic bridge-offloads data (notifier blocks, ingress flow table/group, etc.) that is created/deleted on enable/disable eswitch offloads. - struct mlx5_esw_bridge - per-bridge structure that encapsulates per-bridge data (reference counter, FDB, egress flow table/group, etc.) that is created when first eswitch represetor is attached to new bridge and deleted when last representor is removed from the bridge as a result of NETDEV_CHANGEUPPER event. The bridge tables are created with new priority FDB_BR_OFFLOAD in FDB namespace. The new priority is between tc-miss and slow path priorities. vhca state events indicates change in the state of the vhca that may occur due to a SF allocation, deallocation or enabling/disabling the SF HCA. Introduce vhca state event handler which will be used by SF devlink port manager and SF hardware id allocator in subsequent patches to act on the event. This enables single entity to subscribe, query and rearm the event for a function. 2020-12-04net/mlx5: Register mlx5 devices to auxiliary virtual busLeon Romanovsky1-0/+1
Create auxiliary devices under new virtual bus. This will replace the custom-made mlx5 ->add()/->remove() interfaces and next patches will fill the missing callback and remove the old interface logic. The attachment of auxiliary drivers to the devices is possible in 1-to-1 manner only and it requires us to create device for every protocol, so that device (module) will be able to connect to it. 2020-07-16net/mlx5: IPsec: Add HW crypto offload supportRaed Salem1-1/+14
This patch adds support for Connect-X IPsec crypto offload by implementing the IPsec acceleration layer needed routines, which delegates IPsec offloads to Connect-X routines. In Connect-X IPsec, a Security Association (SA) is added or deleted via allocating a HW context of an encryption/decryption key and a HW context of a matching SA (IPsec object). The Security Policy (SP) is added or deleted by creating matching Tx/Rx steering rules whith an action of encryption/decryption respectively, executed using the previously allocated SA HW context. When new xfrm state (SA) is added: - Use a separate crypto key HW context. - Create a separate IPsec context in HW to inlcude the SA properties: - aes-gcm salt. - ICV properties (ICV length, implicit IV). - on supported devices also update ESN. - associate the allocated crypto key with this IPsec context. Introduce a new compilation flag MLX5_IPSEC for it. Downstream patches will implement the Rx,Tx steering and will add the update esn. New offload contexts post their static/progress params WQEs over the per-channel async ICOSQ, protected under a spin-lock. The Channel/RQ is selected according to the socket's rxq index. Feature is OFF by default. Can be turned on by: $ ethtool -K <if> tls-hw-rx-offload on A new TLS-RX workqueue is used to allow asynchronous addition of steering rules, out of the NAPI context. 2020-04-20net/mlx5: Kconfig: convert imply usage to weak dependencySaeed Mahameed1-4/+4
MLX5_CORE uses the 'imply' keyword to depend on VXLAN, PTP_1588_CLOCK, MLXFW and PCI_HYPERV_INTERFACE. This was useful to force vxlan, ptp, etc.. to be reachable to mlx5 regardless of their config states. Due to the changes in the cited commit below, the semantics of 'imply' was changed to not force any restriction on the implied config. As a result of this change, the compilation of MLX5_CORE=y and VXLAN=m would result in undefined references, as VXLAN now would stay as 'm'. To fix this we change MLX5_CORE to have a weak dependency on these modules/configs and make sure they are reachable, by adding: depend on symbol || !symbol. These were either missed because the tool saw the MODULE_LICENSE() tag, or some EXPORT_SYMBOL tags, and got confused and thought the file had a real license, or the files have been added since the last big sweep, or they were Makefile/Kconfig files, which we didn't touch last time. - Add GPL-2.0-only or GPL-2.0-or-later tags to files where our scan tools can determine the license text in the file itself. Where this happens, the license text is removed, in order to cut down on the 700+ different ways we have in the kernel today, in a quest to get rid of all of these. These patches have been out for review on the linux-spdx@vger mailing list, and while they were created by automatic tools, they were hand-verified by a bunch of different people, all whom names are on the patches are reviewers. The reason for these "large" patches is if we were to continue to progress at the current rate of change in the kernel, adding license tags to individual files in different subsystems, we would be finished in about 10 years at the earliest. Need a fast page recycle mechanism for ndo_xdp_xmit API for returning pages on DMA-TX completion time, which have good cross CPU performance, given DMA-TX completion time can happen on a remote CPU. Refurbish my page_pool code, that was presented[1] at MM-summit 2016. Adapted page_pool code to not depend the page allocator and integration into struct page. The DMA mapping feature is kept, even-though it will not be activated/used in this patchset. Also remove the need of two ndo ops structures (sriov & basic) and keep only one unified ndo ops, compile out VF SRIOV ndos when not needed (MLX5_ESWITCH=n), and for VF netdev calling those ndos will result in returning -EPERM. Multi-Physical Function Switch (MPFs) is required for when multi-PF configuration is enabled to allow passing user configured unicast MAC addresses to the requesting PF. Before this patch eswitch.c used to manage the HW MPFS l2 table, E-Switch always (regardless of sriov) enabled vport(0) (NIC PF) vport's contexts update on unicast mac address list changes, to populate the PF's MPFS L2 table accordingly. In downstream patch we would like to allow compiling the driver without E-Switch functionalities, for that we move MPFS l2 table logic out of eswitch.c into its own file, and provide Kconfig flag (MLX5_MPFS) to allow compiling out MPFS for those who don't want Multi-PF support. NIC PF netdevice will now directly update MPFS l2 table via the new MPFS API. VF netdevice has no access to MPFS L2 table, so E-Switch will remain responsible of updating its MPFS l2 table on behalf of its VFs. Due to this change we also don't require enabling vport(0) (PF vport) unicast mac changes events anymore, for when SRIOV is not enabled. Which means E-Switch is now activated only on SRIOV activation, and not required otherwise. Add Innova IPSec ESP crypto offload configuration paths. Detect Innova IPSec device and set the NETIF_F_HW_ESP flag. Configure Security Associations using the API introduced in a previous patch. Add Software-parser hardware descriptor layout Software-Parser (swp) is a hardware feature in ConnectX which allows the host software to specify protocol header offsets in the TX path, thus overriding the hardware parser. This is useful for protocols that the ASIC may not be able to parse on its own. Note that due to inline metadata, XDP is not supported in Innova IPSec.
