2019-10-01staging/fbtft: Remove fbtft_deviceNoralf Trønnes1-4/+0
Commit c440eee1a7a1 ("Staging: fbtft: Switch to the gpio descriptor interface") removed the gpio code from fbtft_device rendering it useless. fbtft_device is a module that was used on the Raspberry Pi to dynamically add fbtft devices when the Pi didn't have Device Tree support. Just remove the module since it's the responsibility of Device Tree, ACPI or platform code to add devices. 2019-10-01staging/fbtft: Depend on OFNoralf Trønnes1-1/+1
Commit c440eee1a7a1 ("Staging: fbtft: Switch to the gpio descriptor interface") removed setting gpios via platform data. This means that fbtft will now only work with Device Tree so set the dependency. This also prevents a NULL pointer deref on non-DT platform because fbtftops.request_gpios is not set in that case anymore. 2017-03-06staging: fbtft: add adriver for SH1106Heiner Kallweit1-0/+6
This patch adds support for the SH1106 OLED controller chip. It's similar to the SSD1306, however it supports only a subset of commands and the internal video memory has a different width. Major differences: - Internal video memory has a width of 132 pixels - Only a subset of commands is supported - Only page addressing mode is supported, no support for vertical and horizontal addressing - SPI frequency limited to 2 MHz according to the datasheet Successfully tested with a 1.3" OLED display with this chip and SPI interface. The GPIO subsystem provides dummy GPIO consumer functions if GPIOLIB is not enabled. Hence drivers that depend on GPIOLIB, but use GPIO consumer functionality only, can still be compiled if GPIOLIB is not enabled. Relax the dependency on GPIOLIB if COMPILE_TEST is enabled, where appropriate. This is a driver chip for 240x160 4-bit greyscale LCDs. It is capable of 4-wire (8 bit) or 3-wire (9 bit) SPI that have both been tested. The Himax HX8357D is used e.g. by the Adafruit PITFT Plus 3.5". Adafruit added HX8357D support to an own fork of fbtft and support Raspbian only (https://github.com/adafruit/adafruit-rpi-fbtft/). They don't intend to push it upstream but gave me the ok to do so.
