2012-07-30[media] drivers/staging/media/easycap/easycap_main.c: add missing usb_free_urbJulia Lawall1-0/+1
Add missing usb_free_urb on failure path after usb_alloc_urb. A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @km exists@ local idexpression e; expression e1,e2,e3; type T,T1; identifier f; @@ * e = usb_alloc_urb(...) ... when any when != e = e1 when != e1 = (T)e when != e1(...,(T)e,...) when != &e->f if(...) { ... when != e2(...,(T1)e,...) when != e3 = e when forall ( return <+...e...+>; | * return ...; ) } // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>

2012-05-15[media] staging: easycap: Split easycap_delete() into several piecesEzequiel García1-196/+249
The patch splits easycap_delete(), which is in charge of buffer deallocation, into smaller functions each deallocating a specific kind of buffer. Signed-off-by: Ezequiel Garcia <elezegarcia@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>

2012-05-15[media] staging: easycap: Split audio buffer and urb allocationEzequiel García1-105/+124
When the device is probed, this driver allocates audio buffers, and audio urbs. This patch just split this into separate functions, which helps clearing the currently gigantic probe function. 2012-05-15[media] staging: easycap: Split buffer and video urb allocationEzequiel García1-164/+211
When the device is probed, this driver allocates frame buffers, field buffers, isoc buffers and urbs. This patch just split this into separate functions, which helps clearing the currently gigantic probe function. 2012-05-15[media] staging: easycap: Split device struct alloc and retrieval codeEzequiel García1-168/+216
When the device is probed a driver struct is either allocated or retrieved. This operation is logically splitted in several functions. Signed-off-by: Ezequiel Garcia <elezegarcia@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2012-04-23Staging: media: easycap: remove err() usageGreg Kroah-Hartman1-2/+4
err() was a very old USB-specific macro that I thought had gone away. This patch removes it from being used in the driver and uses dev_err() instead. 2012-04-18drivers: staging: media: easycap: easycap_ioctl: Include version.h headerMarcos Paulo de Souza1-0/+1
The output of "make versioncheck" told us that: drivers/staging/media/easycap/easycap_ioctl.c: 2442: need linux/version.h If we take a look at the code, we will see the macro KERNEL_VERSION be used. So, we need this include. 2012-02-08[media] easycap: Fix mem leak in easycap_usb_probe()Jesper Juhl1-0/+1
If allocating 'pdata_urb' fails, the function will return -ENOMEM without freeing the memory allocated, just a few lines above, for 'purb' and will leak that memory when 'purb' goes out of scope. This patch resolves the leak by freeing the allocated storage with usb_free_urb() before the return. 2011-11-03staging: Move media drivers to staging/mediaMauro Carvalho Chehab10-0/+10274
In practice, it is being hard to distinguish when a patch should go to staging tree or to the media tree. Better to distinguish it, by putting the media drivers at a separate staging directory. Newer staging drivers that include anything with "dvb*.h", "v4l2*.h" or "videodev2.h" should go to the drivers/staging/media tree.
