2020-07-08scsi: target: Handle short iSIDsMike Christie1-5/+16
SPC4 has: The first ISCSI INITIATOR SESSION ID field byte containing an ASCII null character terminates the ISCSI INITIATOR SESSION ID field without regard for the specified length of the iSCSI TransportID or the contents of the ADDITIONAL LENGTH field. ---------------------------------------- which sounds like we can get an iSID shorter than 12 chars. SPC and the iSCSI RFC do not say how to handle that case other than just cutting off the iSID. This patch just makes sure that if we get an iSID like that, we only copy/send that string. There is no OS that does this right now, so there was no test case. I did test with sg utils to check it works as expected and nothing breaks. 2020-07-08scsi: target: Fix iscsi transport id buffer setupMike Christie1-37/+35
This fixes the following bugs with the transport id setup for iscsi: 1. Incorrectly adding NULL after initiator name for TPID format 1. 2. For TPID format 1 buffer setup we are doing off+len, off++ and then also len+=some_value. This results in the isid going past buffer boundaries when we then do buf[off+len] 3. The pr_reg_isid is the isid in string format which is 12 bytes, but we are only copying 6 bytes. 2020-04-13scsi: target: fix PR IN / READ FULL STATUS for FCBodo Stroesser1-1/+1
Creation of the response to READ FULL STATUS fails for FC based reservations. Reason is the too high loop limit (< 24) in fc_get_pr_transport_id(). The string representation of FC WWPN is 23 chars long only ("11:22:33:44:55:66:77:88"). So when i is 23, the loop body is executed a last time for the ending '\0' of the string and thus hex2bin() reports an error. 2020-04-13scsi: target: Write NULL to *port_nexus_ptr if no ISIDBodo Stroesser1-1/+2
This patch fixes a minor flaw that could be triggered by a PR OUT RESERVE on iSCSI, if TRANSPORT IDs with and without ISID are used in the same command. In case an ISCSI Transport ID has no ISID, port_nexus_ptr was not used to write NULL, so value from previous call might persist. I don't know if that ever could happen, but with the change the code is cleaner, I think. 2018-01-12target-core: don't use "const char*" for a buffer that is written toRasmus Villemoes1-3/+3
iscsi_parse_pr_out_transport_id launders the const away via a call to strstr(), and then modifies the buffer (writing a nul byte) through the return value. It's cleaner to be honest and simply declare the parameter as "char*", fixing up the call chain, and allowing us to drop the cast in the return statement. Amusingly, the two current callers found it necessary to cast a non-const pointer to a const. A reader should spend an extra moment whenever noticing a cast, because either something special is going on that deserves extra attention or, as is all too often the case, the code is wrong. These casts, afaics, have all been useless. They cast a foo* to a foo*, cast a void* to the assigned type, cast a foo* to void*, before assigning it to a void* variable, etc. In a few cases I also removed an additional &...[0], which is equally useless. Lastly I added three FIXMEs where, to the best of my judgement, the code appears to have a bug. It would be good if someone could check these. This patch addresses the majority of sparse warnings and adds proper locking annotations. It also fixes the dubious one-bit signed bitfield, for which the signed one-bit types can be 0 or -1 which can cause a problem if someone ever checks if (foo->lu_gp_assoc == 1). The current code is fine because everyone just checks zero vs non-zero. But Sparse complains about it so lets change it.
