2020-07-20video: fbdev: Replace HTTP links with HTTPS onesAlexander A. Klimov1-1/+1
Rationale: Reduces attack surface on kernel devs opening the links for MITM as HTTPS traffic is much harder to manipulate. Deterministic algorithm: For each file: If not .svg: For each line: If doesn't contain `\bxmlns\b`: For each link, `\bhttp://[^# \t\r\n]*(?:\w|/)`: If neither `\bgnu\.org/license`, nor `\bmozilla\.org/MPL\b`: If both the HTTP and HTTPS versions return 200 OK and serve the same content: Replace HTTP with HTTPS. 2019-12-05video: constify fb ops across all driversJani Nikula1-1/+1
Now that the fbops member of struct fb_info is const, we can start making the ops const as well. This does not cover all drivers; some actually modify the fbops struct, for example to adjust for different configurations, and others do more involved things that I'd rather not touch in practically obsolete drivers. Mostly this is the low hanging fruit where we can add "const" and be done with it. v3: - un-constify atyfb, mb862xx, nvidia and uvesabf (0day) v2: - fix typo (Christophe de Dinechin) - use "static const" instead of "const static" in mx3fb.c - also constify smscufx.c Cc: linux-fbdev@vger.kernel.org Reviewed-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/ce67f14435f3af498f2e8bf35ce4be11f7504132.1575390740.git.jani.nikula@intel.com

2019-04-01video/macfb: Always initialize DAFB colour table pointer registerFinn Thain1-1/+1
Don't skip the framebuffer CLUT pointer register initialization when the first dafb_setpalette() invocation has regno equal to zero. 2019-04-01video/macfb: Remove redundant codeFinn Thain1-24/+0
The value of info->var.bits_per_pixel get checked in macfb_setcolreg(). Remove additional checks as they are redundant. macfb_defined.activate gets initialized to FB_ACTIVATE_NOW by the struct initializer. Remove redundant assignments. macfb_defined.bits_per_pixel, .width and .height all get assigned unconditionally. Remove redundant initializers. 2018-01-16nubus: Rename struct nubus_devFinn Thain1-1/+1
It is misleading to call a functional resource a "device". In adopting the Linux Driver Model, the struct device will be embedded in struct nubus_board. That will compound the terminlogy problem because drivers will bind with boards, not with functional resources. Avoid this by renaming struct nubus_dev as struct nubus_rsrc. "Functional resource" is the vendor's terminology so this helps avoid confusion. Cc: "David S. 2014-04-17video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen1-0/+928
The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch.
