2022-08-29genetlink: start to validate reserved header bytesJakub Kicinski10-0/+10
We had historically not checked that genlmsghdr.reserved is 0 on input which prevents us from using those precious bytes in the future. One use case would be to extend the cmd field, which is currently just 8 bits wide and 256 is not a lot of commands for some core families. To make sure that new families do the right thing by default put the onus of opting out of validation on existing families. 2022-08-29KVM: s390: pci: Hook to access KVM lowlevel from VFIOPierre Morel1-2/+6
We have a cross dependency between KVM and VFIO when using s390 vfio_pci_zdev extensions for PCI passthrough To be able to keep both subsystem modular we add a registering hook inside the S390 core code. This fixes a build problem when VFIO is built-in and KVM is built as a module. 2022-08-29RDMA/cma: Fix arguments order in net device validationMichael Guralnik1-2/+2
Fix the order of source and destination addresses when resolving the route between server and client to validate use of correct net device. The reverse order we had so far didn't actually validate the net device as the server would try to resolve the route to itself, thus always getting the server's net device. The issue was discovered when running cm applications on a single host between 2 interfaces with same subnet and source based routing rules. When resolving the reverse route the source based route rules were ignored. 2022-08-29PCI: dwc: Drop dependency on ZONE_DMA32Will McVicker2-22/+7
Re-work the msi_msg DMA allocation logic to use dmam_alloc_coherent() which uses the coherent DMA mask to try to return an allocation within the DMA mask limits. With that, we now can drop the msi_page parameter in struct dw_pcie_rp. This allows kernel configurations that disable ZONE_DMA32 to continue supporting a 32-bit DMA mask. Without this patch, the PCIe host device will fail to probe when ZONE_DMA32 is disabled. 2022-08-29drm/gma500: Fix SDVO command debug printingPatrik Jakobsson1-21/+41
At some point the DRM printers started adding a newline after each print. This caused SDVO command debug printing to look weird. Fix this by using snprintf to print into a buffer which can be printed as a whole by DRM_DEBUG_KMS(). Code is heavily inspired by i915. Take the mmap_read_lock() when using the VMA in binder_alloc_print_pages() and when checking for a VMA in binder_alloc_new_buf_locked(). It is worth noting binder_alloc_new_buf_locked() drops the VMA read lock after it verifies a VMA exists, but may be taken again deeper in the call stack, if necessary. Because there could be transient votes from other drivers/tz/hyp which may keep the cx gdsc enabled, we should poll until cx gdsc collapses. We can use the reset framework to poll for cx gdsc collapse from gpucc clk driver. This feature requires support from the platform's gpucc driver. 2022-08-28drm/msm: Fix cx collapse issue during recoveryAkhil P Oommen2-6/+30
There are some hardware logic under CX domain. For a successful recovery, we should ensure cx headswitch collapses to ensure all the stale states are cleard out. This is especially true to for a6xx family where we can GMU co-processor. Currently, cx doesn't collapse due to a devlink between gpu and its smmu. So the *struct gpu device* needs to be runtime suspended to ensure that the iommu driver removes its vote on cx gdsc. In the scenario where there is one a single submit which is hung, gpu is power collapsed when it is retired. Because of this, by the time we call reover(), gpu state would be already clear.
