2017-08-28irda: move net/irda/ to drivers/staging/irda/net/Greg Kroah-Hartman1-492/+0
It's time to get rid of IRDA. It's long been broken, and no one seems to use it anymore. So move it to staging and after a while, we can delete it from there. To start, move the network irda core from net/irda to drivers/staging/irda/net/ Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-11-12irda: Convert IRDA_DEBUG to pr_debugJoe Perches1-11/+11
Use the normal kernel debugging mechanism which also enables dynamic_debug at the same time. Other miscellanea: o Remove sysctl for irda_debug o Remove function tracing like uses (use ftrace instead) o Coalesce formats o Realign arguments o Remove unnecessary OOM messages Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-11-11irda: Remove IRDA_<TYPE> logging macrosJoe Perches1-3/+3
And use the more common mechanisms directly. Other miscellanea: o Coalesce formats o Add missing newlines o Realign arguments o Remove unnecessary OOM message logging as there's a generic stack dump already on OOM. 2007-04-25[SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_copy_to_linear_data{_offset}Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-1/+2
To clearly state the intent of copying to linear sk_buffs, _offset being a overly long variant but interesting for the sake of saving some bytes. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@ghostprotocols.net>
2007-04-25[SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_reset_mac_header(skb)Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-1/+1
For the common, open coded 'skb->mac.raw = skb->data' operation, so that we can later turn skb->mac.raw into a offset, reducing the size of struct sk_buff in 64bit land while possibly keeping it as a pointer on 32bit. This one touches just the most simple case, next will handle the slightly more "complex" cases. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
