This selftest is designed for testing the support of NEXT-C-SID flavor
for SRv6 End behavior. It instantiates a virtual network composed of
several nodes: hosts and SRv6 routers. Each node is realized using a
network namespace that is properly interconnected to others through veth
pairs.
The test considers SRv6 routers implementing IPv4/IPv6 L3 VPNs leveraged
by hosts for communicating with each other. Such routers i) apply
different SRv6 Policies to the traffic received from connected hosts,
considering the IPv4 or IPv6 protocols; ii) use the NEXT-C-SID
compression mechanism for encoding several SRv6 segments within a single
128-bit SID address, referred to as a Compressed SID (C-SID) container.
The NEXT-C-SID is provided as a "flavor" of the SRv6 End behavior,
enabling it to properly process the C-SID containers. The correct
execution of the enabled NEXT-C-SID SRv6 End behavior is verified
through reachability tests carried out between hosts belonging to the
same VPN.

This patch adds 2 new tests: sk_bind_sendto_listen and
sk_connect_zero_addr.
The sk_bind_sendto_listen test exercises the path where a socket's
rcv saddr changes after it has been added to the binding tables,
and then a listen() on the socket is invoked. The listen() should
succeed.
The sk_bind_sendto_listen test is copied over from one of syzbot's
tests: https://syzkaller.appspot.com/x/repro.c?x=1673a38df00000
The sk_connect_zero_addr test exercises the path where the socket was
never previously added to the binding tables and it gets assigned a
saddr upon a connect() to address 0.

This test populates the bhash table for a given port with
MAX_THREADS * MAX_CONNECTIONS sockets, and then times how long
a bind request on the port takes.
When populating the bhash table, we create the sockets and then bind
the sockets to the same address and port (SO_REUSEADDR and SO_REUSEPORT
are set). When timing how long a bind on the port takes, we bind on a
different address without SO_REUSEPORT set. We do not set SO_REUSEPORT
because we are interested in the case where the bind request does not
go through the tb->fastreuseport path, which is fragile (eg
tb->fastreuseport path does not work if binding with a different uid).
To run the script:
Usage: ./bind_bhash.sh [-6 | -4] [-p port] [-a address]
6: use ipv6
4: use ipv4
port: Port number
address: ip address
Without any arguments, ./bind_bhash.sh defaults to ipv6 using ip address
"2001:0db8:0:f101::1" on port 443.
On my local machine, I see:
ipv4:
before - 0.002317 seconds
with bhash2 - 0.000020 seconds
ipv6:
before - 0.002431 seconds
with bhash2 - 0.000021 seconds

There are currently 3 ip tunnels that are capable of carrying
L2 traffic: gretap, vxlan and geneve.
They all are capable to inherit the TOS/TTL for the outer
IP-header from the inner frame.
Add a test that verifies that these fields are correctly inherited.
These tests failed before the following commits:

ipv4 arp_accept has a new option '2' to create new neighbor entries
only if the src ip is in the same subnet as an address configured on
the interface that received the garp message. This selftest tests all
options in arp_accept.
ipv6 has a sysctl endpoint, accept_untracked_na, that defines the
behavior for accepting untracked neighbor advertisements. A new option
similar to that of arp_accept for learning only from the same subnet is
added to accept_untracked_na. This selftest tests this new feature.

To run the test locally, I did:
* ulimit -n 65535000
* ip addr add 2001:0db8:0:f101::1 dev eth0
* ./bind_bhash_test 443

This patch adds a test that has 300 VIPs listening on port 443.
Each VIP:443 will have 80 listening socks by using SO_REUSEPORT.
Thus, it will have 24000 listening socks.
Before removing the port only listening_hash, all socks will be in the
same port 443 bucket and inet_reuseport_add_sock() spends much time to
walk through the bucket. After removing the port only listening_hash
and move all usage to the port+addr lhash2, each bucket in the
ideal case has 80 sk which is much smaller than before.
Here is the test result from a qemu:
Before: listen 24000 socks took 210.210485362 (~210s)
After: listen 24000 socks took 0.207173 (~210ms)

Pull networking updates from Jakub Kicinski:
"The sprinkling of SPI drivers is because we added a new one and Mark
sent us a SPI driver interface conversion pull request.
Core
----
- Introduce XDP multi-buffer support, allowing the use of XDP with
jumbo frame MTUs and combination with Rx coalescing offloads (LRO).
- Speed up netns dismantling (5x) and lower the memory cost a little.
Remove unnecessary per-netns sockets. Scope some lists to a netns.
Cut down RCU syncing. Use batch methods. Allow netdev registration
to complete out of order.
- Support distinguishing timestamp types (ingress vs egress) and
maintaining them across packet scrubbing points (e.g. redirect).
- Continue the work of annotating packet drop reasons throughout the
stack.
- Switch netdev error counters from an atomic to dynamically
allocated per-CPU counters.
- Rework a few preempt_disable(), local_irq_save() and busy waiting
sections problematic on PREEMPT_RT.
- Extend the ref_tracker to allow catching use-after-free bugs.
BPF
---
- Introduce "packing allocator" for BPF JIT images. JITed code is
marked read only, and used to be allocated at page granularity.
Custom allocator allows for more efficient memory use, lower iTLB
pressure and prevents identity mapping huge pages from getting
split.
- Make use of BTF type annotations (e.g. __user, __percpu) to enforce
the correct probe read access method, add appropriate helpers.
- Convert the BPF preload to use light skeleton and drop the
user-mode-driver dependency.
- Allow XDP BPF_PROG_RUN test infra to send real packets, enabling
its use as a packet generator.
- Allow local storage memory to be allocated with GFP_KERNEL if
called from a hook allowed to sleep.
- Introduce fprobe (multi kprobe) to speed up mass attachment (arch
bits to come later).
- Add unstable conntrack lookup helpers for BPF by using the BPF
kfunc infra.
- Allow cgroup BPF progs to return custom errors to user space.
- Add support for AF_UNIX iterator batching.
- Allow iterator programs to use sleepable helpers.
- Support JIT of add, and, or, xor and xchg atomic ops on arm64.
- Add BTFGen support to bpftool which allows to use CO-RE in kernels
without BTF info.
- Large number of libbpf API improvements, cleanups and deprecations.
Protocols
---------
- Micro-optimize UDPv6 Tx, gaining up to 5% in test on dummy netdev.
- Adjust TSO packet sizes based on min_rtt, allowing very low latency
links (data centers) to always send full-sized TSO super-frames.
- Make IPv6 flow label changes (AKA hash rethink) more configurable,
via sysctl and setsockopt. Distinguish between server and client
behavior.
- VxLAN support to "collect metadata" devices to terminate only
configured VNIs. This is similar to VLAN filtering in the bridge.
- Support inserting IPv6 IOAM information to a fraction of frames.
- Add protocol attribute to IP addresses to allow identifying where
given address comes from (kernel-generated, DHCP etc.)
- Support setting socket and IPv6 options via cmsg on ping6 sockets.
- Reject mis-use of ECN bits in IP headers as part of DSCP/TOS.
Define dscp_t and stop taking ECN bits into account in fib-rules.
- Add support for locked bridge ports (for 802.1X).
- tun: support NAPI for packets received from batched XDP buffs,
doubling the performance in some scenarios.
- IPv6 extension header handling in Open vSwitch.
- Support IPv6 control message load balancing in bonding, prevent
neighbor solicitation and advertisement from using the wrong port.
Support NS/NA monitor selection similar to existing ARP monitor.
- SMC
- improve performance with TCP_CORK and sendfile()
- support auto-corking
- support TCP_NODELAY
- MCTP (Management Component Transport Protocol)
- add user space tag control interface
- I2C binding driver (as specified by DMTF DSP0237)
- Multi-BSSID beacon handling in AP mode for WiFi.
- Bluetooth:
- handle MSFT Monitor Device Event
- add MGMT Adv Monitor Device Found/Lost events
- Multi-Path TCP:
- add support for the SO_SNDTIMEO socket option
- lots of selftest cleanups and improvements
- Increase the max PDU size in CAN ISOTP to 64 kB.

- Add HW counters for SW netdevs, a mechanism for devices which
offload packet forwarding to report packet statistics back to
software interfaces such as tunnels.
- Select the default NIC queue count as a fraction of number of
physical CPU cores, instead of hard-coding to 8.
- Expose devlink instance locks to drivers. Allow device layer of
drivers to use that lock directly instead of creating their own
which always runs into ordering issues in devlink callbacks.
- Add header/data split indication to guide user space enabling of
TCP zero-copy Rx.
- Allow configuring completion queue event size.
- Refactor page_pool to enable fragmenting after allocation.
- Add allocation and page reuse statistics to page_pool.
- Improve Multiple Spanning Trees support in the bridge to allow
reuse of topologies across VLANs, saving HW resources in switches.
- DSA (Distributed Switch Architecture):
- replay and offload of host VLAN entries
- offload of static and local FDB entries on LAG interfaces
- FDB isolation and unicast filtering

This change extends the existing GRO coalesce test to
allow running on top of a veth pair, so that no H/W dep
is required to run them.
By default gro.sh will use the veth backend, and will try
to use exiting H/W in loopback mode if a specific device
name is provided with the '-i' command line option.
No functional change is intended for the loopback-based
tests, just move all the relevant initialization/cleanup
code into the related script.
Introduces a new initialization helper script for the
veth backend, and plugs the correct helper script according
to the provided command line.
Additionally, enable veth-based tests by default.

Implement a GRO testsuite that expects Linux kernel GRO behavior.
All tests pass with the kernel software GRO stack. Run against a device
with hardware GRO to verify that it matches the software stack.
gro.c generates packets and sends them out through a packet socket. The
receiver in gro.c (run separately) receives the packets on a packet
socket, filters them by destination ports using BPF and checks the
packet geometry to see whether GRO was applied.
gro.sh provides a wrapper to run the gro.c in NIC loopback mode.
It is not included in continuous testing because it modifies network
configuration around a physical NIC: gro.sh sets the NIC in loopback
mode, creates macvlan devices on the physical device in separate
namespaces, and sends traffic generated by gro.c between the two
namespaces to observe coalescing behavior.
GRO coalescing is time sensitive.
Some tests may prove flaky on some hardware.
Note that this test suite tests for software GRO unless hardware GRO is
enabled (ethtool -K $DEV rx-gro-hw on).
To test, run ./gro.sh.
The wrapper will output success or failed test names, and generate
log.txt and stderr.
Sample log.txt result:
...
pure data packet of same size: Test succeeded
large data packets followed by a smaller one: Test succeeded
small data packets followed by a larger one: Test succeeded
...
Sample stderr result:
...
carrier ready

Expected {200 }, Total 1 packets
Received {200 }, Total 1 packets.

This test evaluates the IOAM insertion for IPv6 by checking the IOAM data
integrity on the receiver.
The topology is formed by 3 nodes: Alpha (sender), Beta (router in-between)
and Gamma (receiver). An IOAM domain is configured from Alpha to Gamma only,
which means not on the reverse path. When Gamma is the destination, Alpha
adds an IOAM option (Pre-allocated Trace) inside a Hop-by-hop and fills the
trace with its own IOAM data. Beta and Gamma also fill the trace. The IOAM
data integrity is checked on Gamma, by comparing with the pre-defined IOAM
configuration (see below).

We found that with the latest mainline kernel (5.12.0-051200rc8) on
some KVM instances / bare-metal systems, the following tests will take
longer than the kselftest framework default timeout (45 seconds) to
run and thus got terminated with TIMEOUT error:
* xfrm_policy.sh - took about 2m20s
* pmtu.sh - took about 3m5s
* udpgso_bench.sh - took about 60s
Bump the timeout setting to 5 minutes to allow them have a chance to
finish.

Add selftests for kernel behavior with regard to various classes of
unallocated/reserved IPv4 addresses, checking whether or not these
addresses can be assigned as unicast addresses on links and used in
routing.
Expect the current kernel behavior at the time of this patch. That is:
* 0/8 and 240/4 may be used as unicast, with the exceptions of 0.0.0.0
and 255.255.255.255;
* the lowest address in a subnet may only be used as a broadcast address;
* 127/8 may not be used as unicast (the route_localnet option, which is
disabled by default, still leaves it treated slightly specially);
* 224/4 may not be used as unicast.

Test different encapsulation modes of the bareudp module:
* Unicast MPLS,
* IPv4 only,
* IPv4 in multiproto mode (that is, IPv4 and IPv6),
* IPv6.
Each mode is tested with both an IPv4 and an IPv6 underlay.
v2:
* Add build dependencies in config file (Willem de Bruijn).
* The MPLS test now uses its own IP addresses. This minimises
the amount of cleanup between tests and simplifies the script.
* Verify that iproute2 supports bareudp tunnels before running the
script (and other minor usability improvements).
