2025-04-23pds_core: handle unsupported PDS_CORE_CMD_FW_CONTROL resultBrett Creeley1-3/+1
If the FW doesn't support the PDS_CORE_CMD_FW_CONTROL command the driver might at the least print garbage and at the worst crash when the user runs the "devlink dev info" devlink command. This happens because the stack variable fw_list is not 0 initialized which results in fw_list.num_fw_slots being a garbage value from the stack. Then the driver tries to access fw_list.fw_names[i] with i >= ARRAY_SIZE and runs off the end of the array. Fix this by initializing the fw_list and by not failing completely if the devcmd fails because other useful information is printed via devlink dev info even if the devcmd fails. 2025-03-20pds_core: specify auxiliary_device to be createdShannon Nelson1-2/+3
In preparation for adding a new auxiliary_device for the PF, make the vif type an argument to pdsc_auxbus_dev_add(). Pass in the address of the padev pointer so that the caller can specify where to save it and keep the mutex usage within the function. 2025-03-20pds_core: make pdsc_auxbus_dev_del() voidShannon Nelson1-2/+4
Since there really is no useful return, advertising a return value is rather misleading. Make pdsc_auxbus_dev_del() a void function. 2025-01-06pds_core: limit loop over fw name listShannon Nelson1-1/+1
Add an array size limit to the for-loop to be sure we don't try to reference a fw_version string off the end of the fw info names array. We know that our firmware only has a limited number of firmware slot names, but we shouldn't leave this unchecked. 2024-04-22devlink: extend devlink_param *set pointerMateusz Polchlopek1-1/+2
Extend devlink_param *set function pointer to take extack as a param. Sometimes it is needed to pass information to the end user from set function. It is more proper to use for that netlink instead of passing message to dmesg. 2024-01-31pds_core: Clear BARs on resetBrett Creeley1-1/+2
During reset the BARs might be accessed when they are unmapped. This can cause unexpected issues, so fix it by clearing the cached BAR values so they are not accessed until they are re-mapped. Also, make sure any places that can access the BARs when they are NULL are prevented. 2023-11-14pds_core: fix up some format-truncation complaintsShannon Nelson1-1/+1
Our friendly kernel test robot pointed out a couple of potential string truncation issues. None of which were we worried about, but can be relatively easily fixed to quiet the complaints. 2023-08-25pds_core: protect devlink callbacks from fw_down stateShannon Nelson1-0/+3
Don't access structs that have been cleared when in the fw_down state and the various structs have been cleaned and are waiting to recover. This caused a panic on rmmod when already in fw_down and devlink_param_unregister() tried to check the parameters. 2023-04-21pds_core: devlink params for enabling VIF supportShannon Nelson1-0/+73
Add the devlink parameter switches so the user can enable the features supported by the VFs. The only feature supported at the moment is vDPA. 2023-04-21pds_core: set up device and adminqShannon Nelson1-0/+61
Set up the basic adminq and notifyq queue structures. These are used mostly by the client drivers for feature configuration. These are essentially the same adminq and notifyq as in the ionic driver. Part of this includes querying for device identity and FW information, so we can make that available to devlink dev info. $ devlink dev info pci/0000:b5:00.0 pci/0000:b5:00.0: driver pds_core serial_number FLM18420073 versions: fixed: asic.id 0x0 asic.rev 0x0 running: fw 1.51.0-73 stored: fw.goldfw 1.15.9-C-22 fw.mainfwa 1.60.0-73 fw.mainfwb 1.60.0-57 Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <shannon.nelson@amd.com> Acked-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S.
