2023-08-18dt-bindings: Fix typosBjorn Helgaas5-6/+6
Fix typos in Documentation/devicetree/bindings. The changes are in descriptions or comments where they shouldn't affect functionality. 2023-04-04dt-bindings: move cache controller bindings to a cache directoryConor Dooley1-55/+0
There's a bunch of bindings for (mostly l2) cache controllers scattered to the four winds, move them to a common directory. I renamed the freescale l2cache.txt file, as while that might make sense when the parent dir is fsl, it's confusing after the move. The two Marvell bindings have had a "marvell," prefix added to match their compatibles. 2023-01-25dt-bindings: usb: Convert multiple "usb-ohci" bindings to DT schemaRob Herring1-10/+0
"usb-ohci" is another "generic" OHCI controller compatible string used by several platforms. Add it to the generic-ohci.yaml schema and remove all the old binding docs. Marvell pxa-usb.txt has "usb-ohci" in the example, but actual users don't, so drop it. 2020-12-18dt-bindings: Fix JSON pointersRob Herring1-1/+1
The correct syntax for JSON pointers begins with a '/' after the '#'. Without a '/', the string should be interpreted as a subschema identifier. The jsonschema module currently doesn't handle subschema identifiers and incorrectly allows JSON pointers to begin without a '/'. Let's fix this before it becomes a problem when jsonschema module is fixed. 2018-07-25dt-bindings: remove 'interrupt-parent' from bindingsRob Herring12-38/+0
'interrupt-parent' is often documented as part of define bindings, but it is really outside the scope of a device binding. It's never required in a given node as it is often inherited from a parent node. Or it can be implicit if a parent node is an 'interrupt-controller' node. So remove it from all the binding files. 2017-05-09powerpc/64s: Support new device tree binding for discovering CPU featuresNicholas Piggin1-0/+248
The ibm,powerpc-cpu-features device tree binding describes CPU features with ASCII names and extensible compatibility, privilege, and enablement metadata that allows improved flexibility and compatibility with new hardware. 2016-03-05powerpc/fsl: Update fman dt binding with pcs-phy and tbi-phyIgal Liberman1-0/+40
The FMan contains internal PHY devices used for SGMII connections to external PHYs. When these PHYs are in use a reference is needed for both the external PHY and the internal one. For the external PHY phy-handle provides the reference. For the internal PHY a new handle is required. In dTSEC, the internal PHY is a TBI (Ten Bit Interface) PHY, the handle used will be tbi-handle. In mEMAC, the internal PHY is a PCS (Physical Coding Sublayer) PHY, the handle used will be pcsphy-handle.
