2023-08-18docs: move mips under archCosta Shulyupin1-1/+1
and fix all in-tree references. Architecture-specific documentation is being moved into Documentation/arch/ as a way of cleaning up the top-level documentation directory and making the docs hierarchy more closely match the source hierarchy. 2022-12-16dt-bindings: drop redundant part of title (end)Krzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1
The Devicetree bindings document does not have to say in the title that it is a "Devicetree binding", but instead just describe the hardware. Drop trailing "Devicetree bindings" in various forms (also with trailing full stop): find Documentation/devicetree/bindings/ -type f -name '*.yaml' \ -not -name 'trivial-devices.yaml' \ -exec sed -i -e 's/^title: \(.*\) [dD]evice[ -]\?[tT]ree [bB]indings\?\.\?$/title: \1/' {} \; find Documentation/devicetree/bindings/ -type f -name '*.yaml' \ -not -name 'trivial-devices.yaml' \ -exec sed -i -e 's/^title: \(.*\) [dD]evice[ -]\?[nN]ode [bB]indings\?\.\?$/title: \1/' {} \; find Documentation/devicetree/bindings/ -type f -name '*.yaml' \ -not -name 'trivial-devices.yaml' \ -exec sed -i -e 's/^title: \(.*\) [dD][tT] [bB]indings\?\.\?$/title: \1/' {} \; Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Acked-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@bootlin.com> Acked-by: Jonathan Cameron <Jonathan.Cameron@huawei.com> # IIO Reviewed-by: Jonathan Cameron <Jonathan.Cameron@huawei.com> Acked-by: Ulf Hansson <ulf.hansson@linaro.org> # MMC Acked-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@kernel.org> # clk Acked-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> # input Acked-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org> Acked-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil-cisco@xs4all.nl> # media Acked-by: Sebastian Reichel <sre@kernel.org> # power Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20221216163815.522628-5-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2022-08-31dt-bindings: timer: Add missing (unevaluated|additional)Properties on child nodesRob Herring1-0/+4
In order to ensure only documented properties are present, node schemas must have unevaluatedProperties or additionalProperties set to false (typically). The PWM hardware on the X1000 SoC is almost identical to other Ingenic SoCs, so it can be used with only minor driver changes. 2021-04-08dt-bindings: timer: ingenic: Add compatible strings for JZ4760(B)Paul Cercueil1-8/+22
Add compatible strings to support the system timer, clocksource, OST, watchdog and PWM blocks of the JZ4760 and JZ4760B SoCs. Newer SoCs which behave like the JZ4760 or JZ4760B now see their compatible string require a fallback compatible string that corresponds to one of these two SoCs. 2020-08-14dt-bindings: Whitespace clean-ups in schema filesRob Herring1-25/+25
Clean-up incorrect indentation, extra spaces, long lines, and missing EOF newline in schema files. Most of the clean-ups are for list indentation which should always be 2 spaces more than the preceding keyword. Found with yamllint (which I plan to integrate into the checks). 2020-05-03dt-bindings: Remove cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring1-7/+6
json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works. This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax. Scripted with ruamel.yaml with some manual fixups. Some minor whitespace changes from the script.
